Things you should do before installing 777 SP1 - READ THIS!
I couldn't agree with that statement more! Nicely worded.

Saitek X55
I use the X-55 and it works pretty ok. I seem to be having some issues with "phantom presses" coming from the throttle unit which I support has not been able to rectify just yet but I'm hopeful…. It doesn't seem like all users are having this issue though so it should't deter anyone from purchasing this unit. I like it a lot! As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I used an old cyborg flight stick for the longest time.

BA Boeing 777-300ER (Beta Preview)
Google earth doesn't do this road justice. I think a youtube video is in order. So if you could just go ahead and upload a video of someone else that is not you, driving a similar, but not the exact same Genesis, that would be greeeaaaattt mmmkay.

BA Boeing 777-300ER (Beta Preview)
When I'm taking off/landing/taxing with the 777 and I'm at and airport that I purchased as an add on, those two things combined are a little taxing on my system. One thing I do to overcome this is use switch to the 2d panel viewpoint and then us F5, F8, and F9 to bring up the panels that I'll need for those phases of flight. It's not a "classic" 2d panel per se, and it does become slightly less immersive but it works for me. Unfortunately it doesn't sound like there will be a true 2d panel coming out for this product. This is totally off topic but what kind of car did you by?

09JUN14 - PMDG 777 SP1 and 300ER updates
Wouldn't that be brilliant if it was released tomorrow, but somehow blocked for purchase for a week to the people that have been overly vocal/critical of the amount of time it has taken? Now that would be funny  ……or maybe a note from RSR saying "Hey folks! We planned on releasing this product to you tonight but there were a few things that I couldn't finish up because I had to cut my day short so I could write this update since you all demanded it. Anyway, we're going to release this tomorrow now! Have a great night everyone." (Disclaimer: Satire)

PMDG 777-300ER Release date?
I didn't know there was an age requirement to be a fan of Guns n' Roses……. So basically what you should have compared the FS release in question to was G n R's release of Chinese Democracy. The point is, most artists (except of course for Guns n' Roses) do work with deadlines.
-
PMDG 777-300ER Release date?
Actually thats not how it works at all. Record labels give deadlines, recording contracts stipulate "x" amount of albums to be released in a given time, studio times get booked for a certain period of time, etc. You may want to work on your metaphors as well……...

BA Boeing 777-300ER (Beta Preview)
So what you're saying is that as soon as I get my hands on this thing I should immediately load up some very detailed, high end add-on JFK scenery, set everything to high detail, extremely dense, etc, and taxi around using these cameras and then immediately post on here complaining that I'm getting brutal fps……. disclaimer: I'm kidding

BA Boeing 777-300ER (Beta Preview)
Do you have any insight on how thats actually being accomplished? Like is the entire external model being loaded when you're using that feature?
-
BA Boeing 777-300ER (Beta Preview)
That sounds a little taxing on the system but, for the amount of time that would likely be spent using it, I'm sure everyone will manage. Thats a pretty cool feature.

Almost a month has now passed since last SP update...
Uuuuhhhh actually you started getting on my case about my original post soooooo that's why I responded to you. You pretty much missed the entire point I was getting at and thought that I was saying that not having a 777 update is the same as not having a car. What I was actually getting at was that the lack of updates is understandably frustrating for some people. Let me say it again: If your car is in the shop for what you feel is a long time and your service writer is not calling you to let you know what's going on, you might get frustrated. Seriously though, the part where you were insinuating that OTHER people were being irritating was hilarious though. Nicely done.

Here in Canada we have cars to however, it’s not a death sentence if its in the shop. In that case I can use my sled to get from my igloo to my work at the maple syrup factory, and then over to the hockey rink for some poutine as long as the electricity is on. A death sentence though?? I’m not sure I would compare not having a car to that. I see where you’re going, but that’s not the best comparison. Congrats on incorporating cycling into your daily commute though. I used the search function but I could not find the bit about how to be less irritating in the forum rules topic….and that one’s also pinned so I could find it easily!! Maybe you could start a new topic outlining proper forum etiquette. Ahhhh the old “wasting time” card. Is any time being actually being wasted? Since updates are only being released periodically when there’s something new to report, I don’t actually see any time being wasted.

Almost a month has now passed since last SP update...
I'm a little sceptical of that. Whenever there is an update, regardless of its actual content, there 2-3 pages of different "thank you" type posts within an hour of the update being put up for all to see. Even though the update simply reiterates that fact the hours/days/weeks of coding/number crunching/whatever other technical stuff is being done doesn't necessarily make for a great visual representation of the progress that has been made. I certainly don't disagree with the "it's ready when it's ready" policy that is in place. Finding the time to write a decent sized update likely takes hours of proofreading in an effort to word things just so as to minimize the inevitable reading between the lines that happens. People get enough exercise around here jumping to conclusions as it is, so there is no need to open that can of worms if you don't have to. I can certainly appreciate the time it takes to write a proper update. With all of that said, people are going to naturally question what's taking so long. If you bought a brand new car and had to send it back to the dealership because the stereo didn't work properly, you'd want to know what the hold up was. Imagine how you'd conduct yourself if your felt the service advisor wasn't communicating with you enough. You'd be calling every day!!! Some people are higher maintenance than others but that is the unfortunate reality of customer service these days. Anyway that's my two cents. Seeing this type of enthusiasm is a good thing even if it annoys some people. Imagine if absolutely nobody was inquiring on the status of this update. The 777 has been a solid product for me right out of the gate and I've been fortunate in that I haven't experienced the same problems that others have.

Any updates on 744V2?
I love when you use the "wasting time" card as if someone answering a simple question is hampering productivity(2nd time in this thread). Again, the topic entitled "Any updates on the 744V2". Anyone concerned with saving time could have easily seen that it wasn't necessary to enter the topic and read everything. Then you proceed to keep arguments like these going even though its clear that it's nowhere. I'll say it again, if anyone isn't finding a particular topic useful then they're free to move along. Nobody's forcing anyone to sit there and sift through all of this. After all, that's what the search function is for! If you found my first post to be "(rather negative)" but I was just trying to help save people from wasting time writing out more then was necessary :Peace:. A simple "No", "Nope" or even "Negatory" would have sufficed. I'm just trying to help. Then you proceeded to post a meme from your buddy Will that says "If you don't want a sarcastic answer, then don't ask a stupid question". Then you say "…….except in this case, I didn't find it fully "stupid" per se….." which implies that you still found it somewhat stupid. If I was the OP asking an innocent question, I'd take that as a jab(a rather negative one). Writing posts 101: Don't start your post with "____________ 101" if you don't want it to come off as sarcastic.

Any updates on 744V2?
Using the logic that has been applied in this forum, you could have jumped on that guy for not searching to see if the responses had already answered the original question. You could have also jumped on him for wasting everyone's time for having to read his post.

Any updates on 744V2?
How about this - If the fact that someone has asked a question that has been answered somewhere else in these forums infuriates you to no end, then leave the topic and do not revisit it. If you're in these forums constantly you could easily tell by reading the title that this question has likely been answered before, and therefor does not require you to enter and partake in the discussion. In fact, all of you enforcers should be thanking z06z33 for using the right wording in the title he created. He did his best to summarize in the title what the discussion was going to be about. This is a huge time saver to you! Also, I checked the "forum rules" topic. I didn't find anything in there that states specifically "READ THE ENTIRE MANUAL AND SEARCH THE FORUMS BEFORE YOU POST ANY QUESTIONS". There's also nothing in there that states that highly enthusiastic PMDG clientele are obligated respond to questions in such a way as to deter other PMDG customers from even using the forums.

Any updates on 744V2?
Thanks for working toward saving everyone so much time. Oh wow. We're already on page 2 here, Where did all this time come from?!?! I hope the OP learned their lesson. There should be laws against people who don't read the entire manual, or browse entire forums before asking a simple question. I tell ya. What is this world coming to?!?!

Any updates on 744V2?
The question was: "Jw if there have been any updates or better yet screens of the 744V2?". Not: "Jw if there have been any updates or better yet screens of the 744V2? And please answer like a total D-BAG"
