Started MSFSF this morning, weird things
edpatino replied to Bobsk8's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Looks like the issue has been solved for those in the SU15 Beta, with the latest Beta released today. For those who are not in the Beta, we should wait until next Tuesday 26 with the official SU15 release -
Started MSFSF this morning, weird things
edpatino replied to Bobsk8's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
This is a known bug and MS/Asobo mentioned it will be solved with the official SU15 release. In the meantime, if your sim starts up in windowed mode, just press ALT + ENTER to make it full screen again. -
MSFS Startup/Update Failure

Apart from the known fact that MS will never tell it's their fault. -
Why an I getting a Mandotory 115GB Update?

Don't think so. All of us should not be wrong at the same time -
Why an I getting a Mandotory 115GB Update?
edpatino replied to BIGSKY's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Got the same exact issue. Now, at every start of the sim I have to put it in full-screen mode manually. Dear MS! -
I don’t really use it too much

MSFS Startup/Update Failure
edpatino replied to RandallR's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Got the same quick Installation Manager update screen, that disappeared too fast to allow me to check anything. Then the sim started to load in windowed mode, so I pressed the Alt + ENTER to put in full screen and luckily everything went fine and could complete a short flight. I think something's should be going on with the MS Servers. -

What's your preferred DC-3 Mod?
edpatino replied to jcomm's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Is not my preffered aircraft to fly, but the Duckworks looks a more complete mod compared to the other (the later is mainly focused on improving the performance characteristics of the DC-3). Look in the respective descriptions at Flightsim.to and you'll find better what exactly each mod offers. -
A bit more on my initial issue I think the window showing errors during the LNM start-up comes from the rejection of several maps that no longer have a supported service (US-Helicopter, US-ifr's, a total of six). After deleting those map services, the main LNM window is active as usual. There should be a way to avoid this
-
What I meant is that the LNM window was not active when opened, and had to press Alt + F4 to make it active. What I noticed when I tried to start LNM is that it took long to load the main view (map view) and it tried to open a small window in the background that I suppose was the window that remained active, but it disappeared after the main screen was loaded up, and that is when I needed to press Alt+F4 to make the main LNM screen active. Is that a normal behavior? and what should I do to avoid this?.

Not that Boeing has no issues, but this video has a strong tendency to create alarm -
Continue crashing MSFS2020
edpatino replied to king1706's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Ask for help to the FS Dream Team (GSX) guys. Looks something's wrong with their Couatl module and your installation, most probably it was not properly updated/installed, who knows? -
MSFS Addon Linker Dependency Location Issue
edpatino replied to dresoccer4's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
The dependencies (part of what I call configuration files of the app), are all stored in the same location in C:\ProgramData\.... A computer change or a windows re-install are operations that I suppose you don't perform very often. -
MSFS Addon Linker Dependency Location Issue
edpatino replied to dresoccer4's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
On my two MSFS installations (PC and laptop), the configuration files like presets, dependencies, etc. of the MSFS Addons Linker are installed by default on C:\ProgramData\MSFS Addons Linker. So, each time there's an update of the application, the configuration files should remain unchanged. There's an option in Tools --> Options --> General Tab to change the location of your presets if you wish. -
The 6 Japanese Airports of the Japan World Update...
edpatino replied to P_7878's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
I would only suggest to try different DC-3 liveries when you fly in Japan 😅. Nice shots!. To me, every japanese aiport is a fine piece of art. -
I've been in contact with REX, and have to say they've been very active in trying to find a solution for my case, without success. I don't get any valid vegetation and terrain presets files downloaded for some strange reason and after installing the new TU3 the presets downloads are stopped by a new app message saying something like "the thumbnail.jpg cannot be downloaded". So, I'm giving up on AccuSeason.

It's still a beta, so be aware

I think the results speak for themselves. No need to speculate.

iniBuilds iniManager disaster.

Try to buy their products on another store?. -
I would recommend to look after CUK (Computer Upgrade King - https://cukusa.com) upgraded gaming laptops They work with different brands like ASUS and MSI (and maybe others as well). That insures you'll be receiving the best components and a "reinforced" machine capable of running complex software like MSFS2020 with proper cooling capabilities.
