  1. The camera system in MSFS still needs some work. Can you even save external views like you could with EZDOK and Chaseplane? Anyway as mentioned in another thread improvements such as this would go a long way: We still need more votes at: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/fix-support-camera-api-in-simconnect/334102
  2. I flew from KLAS to EGCC in the BBJ the other day without time compression and it went pretty well - No issues at all with the aircraft or sim.
  3. There is a few that I keep an eye on: https://www.thresholdx.net/ https://fsnews.eu/ https://news.flightsim.to/ https://fselite.net/ (As you've mentioned) Then this forum can also be good to keep an eye on updates/releases as well.
  4. Just follow this guide on their website: https://kb.fenixsim.com/license-reset
  5. I'm not sure what their actual role is but the two people who posted "announcements" and also commented on the quietness of any MSFS news is what I looked at. They are part of the "Admin" forum group.
  6. Very quiet over there from a staff point of view. In fact the two staff members who were replying to people haven't been on the forums since May or the end of June - No further updates have been posted since what we already know.
  7. One of the benefits of Chaseplane was not only to save custom views while in the cockpit but also externally. I don't think MSFS supports custom camera views on the outside do they? I could be wrong.
  8. So glad this has been released. Hopefully not much longer for them to release Amsterdam!
  9. The Camera API needs to be opened up to make this possible. I suggest voting on this MSFS thread: Fix / Support Camera API in SimConnect - Community Support / Wishlist - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums if you haven't already and maybe they will do something about it.
  10. Yesterday outside we had up to 35C and inside was between 29C to 34.7C - The loft being the highest. Looks like today we shall see up to 37C outside and if still the case, looks like there will be thunderstorms in the evening.
  11. Maybe I'm missing something with this whole VAT thing but PilotPlus website clearly states the price is ex vat and adds vat in the checkout and Orbx also mentions that VAT/Tax is applies where applicable. I've seen other sites do this as well so I'm not fully sure where the issue is that people are talking about? Edit: Just read it seems to be aimed at ads/marketing material - Ok I get that but that is rather minor when the actual store page you visit clearly displays the price is EX-VAT but ok.
  12. Thats not the same as opening the weather system API for 3rd parties like ActiveSky. This is more to do with weather radars etc.
  13. Very happy to see there will be a toggle for multiplayer name tags - Looks like there is some good new features/bug fixes on that list.
  14. Been flying around PNG and now New Zealand in the Kodiak on MSFS and it's been really fun - Here's some shots from the trips I have been doing:
  15. They were holding it back to showcase at the the Xbox events that have taken place this week which makes sense considering it's an event about upcoming games/updates on many games for the Xbox/Microsoft platform.
  16. Aeroplane Heaven posted on Facebook confirming the partnership and the DC3: https://www.facebook.com/Aeroplaneheaven/posts/pfbid022n4Dj2o72uZzqUAqs26DPQVeNGPyan9PoZbaWN1gFFNFYanurpyaEFPBAMhZw56wl
  17. Because you do realise Microsoft/Asobo outsource some of the work they do? Aka Orbx and its partners does a lot of stuff for the world updates for one. The A310 they showed off is by Inibuilds for example. Not everything you see in that video is 100% Microsoft/Asobo so yes it does mean they can have other teams or people working on the sim for them and give us these updates.
  18. I know someone said don't start on the different teams comment but you must all realise that is the actual truth. New features/planes/world updates are clearly not done by the same teams who fix on the bugs or work on the SDK for example.
  19. MJ in the Inibuilds discord server sent a winky face after people noticed the A310 in the video so I expect its's their plane they showed off a bit in the video. Edit: They've posted this: iniBuilds Development Update: Partnership with Microsoft Flight Simulator - iniBuilds Announcements - iniBuilds Forum
  20. Hardly surprising - I think they took a similar stance for the 777 or the 747 many years ago.
  21. Nope - Still waiting for Camera API improvements. If you haven't already do vote for this: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/fix-support-camera-api-in-simconnect/334102
  22. Do seem to be getting more FPS with this latest update which is good news. Will see how it goes throughout this flight but looks promising!
  23. Not having the ability to remove static is some what annoying - Especially if you are on an online environment such as vatsim and you wish to use a stand or you are told to park on X but it's ruined by the fact that some static model is in its place. They really should give us the option to remove them. It's not like it's not impossible - The fairy new release offered on the Orbx site mentions this in the features: New static aircraft with Control Panel option to remove I just wish they make this an option on all releases and go back and update the previous ones to give us that option.
  24. Not holding out - I got the 737-700 via the credit and did buy the Fenix A320. I like being able to fly various different aircraft but I will be getting the 737-800 mainly due to how many operators fly it.
