    I find the digitfoundary videos to be quite interesting. I note that the Director, in his video here, also says that an overclock of 4.8mhz on the 7700k resulted in quite high temps.

    I think it'd be more likely to be a power supply issue with the re-booting than a software driver....

    Sorry for digging this up but I found it on a search for an answer to a problem I have... Experiencing the same problem as the OP. When I click yes, FSX crashes, when I click No, nothing seems to happen although I'm not loading aircraft, etc... Thanks for your help in advance. All the best Jay

    Jens... A couple of things... I used to get this when the display driver crashed and that usually came about when my 3 monitors in surround were set up incorrectly/weirdly (I never got to the bottom of it). Would recommend you set the resolution to one monitor and try that. I also notice you have a lot of Orbx scenery in your cfg file. Perhaps remove the cfg and let FSX re-build it. Jay

    In my experience I'd still wait or save some money and go for the 970. Much more bang for your buck card....

    Hi I've used gtx670's in SLI about a year. In FSX, there's little point as FSX can't use SLI. In p3d you could make a case but with my i5 @ 4.2ghz the graphics card isn't the limiting factor. I've actually just removed the second 670 as its proved more trouble than it was worth. I eventually believed it interfered with FSX operation. Personally I would save for a 970, that's what I am going to do. All the best Jason

    Hi all Does anyone have a link to how to set P3D 2.5 up in SLI? Only now just managed to get myself stable with 2x670s and want to see if SLI offers any improvements with 3 monitors. Many thanks Jay

    Yeah just following on from Dave's comment and if your p3d has been mucked up because of this you could fully install the Orbx libraries again so that they complete and then fully uninstall them. That might get you back on an even keel. Jason

    Thanks Bob(?) Understand. How was the "update" presented to you? Was it part of the Trees installer? Did it give you a choice to install or not because my understanding (could be wrong) is that Trees does not require the Orbx libraries to function (and that sounds like what it was downloading). Jason

    I really don't understand what you've done Bob? I have plenty of Orbx scenery and don't really have any issues. How can you see what's being downloaded? Is that through FTX Central? I wouldn't have thought Orbx trees would need to use anything like that as it just replaces the tree textures. Jason

    A couple of things I would check first. 1. Did you use the very latest Orbx libraries? Not necessarily the one included in the FTX region installer. 2. Do you have the region correctly set in FTX Central. 3. Someone has mentioned TrafficX, not sure if you have it installed but it can install airport "enhancements" in your scenery library and its best to untick those. Hope that helps. Jason Ps oh yeah Orbx library at the top of the scenery library.

    Quite likely Paul as that was my problem as well. Solved it by setting maximise 3d performance with one monitor in the nvidia control panel.

    So what exactly does one need to do to take advantage of SLI? Sorry it might be a daft question but i have 2 gtx670's and don't really seem to be getting better performance. Both cards look to be being utilised.
