  1. I've been using both fspax and fs2crew on the NGX and they work well together. I like fspax because its very customizable and does a few things automatically like close the door when the pax are boarded, serve food and play the movies, etc. You can add sounds or remove sounds fairly easy. I've adjusted the flight attendants PAs to sound a bit muffled and distant just as you should hear them from the flightdeck. It really ads to the realism. I've heard of FS Captain and the reviews sound really good. However why fix something that's not broken in my case, so I haven't gotten it. Fspax also monitors your landings and mistakes. You can disable or enable as you wish. I mostly use it as a sound enhancer.
  2. I do often. I do mostly Caribbean out and backs and do either the out as CA and the back as FO.
  3. I have no problem what so ever getting on a 787. I suggest you look into some AD's that are out there. Scary stuff.
  4. Airspace is too congested :( unless you fly for a cargo company and fly in the reverse side of the clock.
  5. Yes it does. It says that Boeing is shuffling 5 executives around. The media just happened to mention that the executive that was in charge during then grounding of the 787 is included in that shuffle. They mentioned the 787 to make the article interesting. Notice how the writer used the word "banned" instead of grounded. "Banned" just sounds more controversial and sensational than "grounded" What's your point?
  6. I really don't know the reason for this thread! The Boeing 737 series is the most successful airliner in the planet and it has issues. The A320 series had and still has issues and its one of the most successful commercial airliners on the planet. The A380 has crack issues. Embraer, Bombardier, Fairchild, etc. They all have issues! The 787 is new technology, a little different approach. I'm pretty sure once the teething problems pass it's going to be just fine, just like the A350 will have a few issues but it'll also be just fine. I can care less if its Boeing or Airbus, both companies have their own concepts, philosophies and a very different approach, however they both accomplish the same result, flyin people from point A to point B safely. Instead of criticizing why not embrace and encourage the new technology? We all love aviation after all right?
  7. Tabs and KriVa hit it right on the head. In cruise flight you have the time and luxury of programming and inputing into the fms, however in the terminal area it's a whole different ball game. Sometimes it's just better and safe to disengage the AP and hand fly to make that restriction or the atc instruction.
  8. I like it, it's good however the sounds need to be fixed and I can't stand the fact that every time I press the brakes it looks ###### it's going to cartwheel forward. Is there a way to fis that? It's very unrealistic.
  9. I use both and like them both. You can configure them to work together.
  10. In the real world I usd it. It's all about passenger comfort. I use it outside the terminal area.
  11. I'm with you here, I really hope it's released soon. However I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm amazed it's still being worked on.
  12. My experience with xotic wasn't very good. I ordered a laptop from them like 3 years ago. A Sager 8280 or something like that, I forgot the model, it took them a month just to ship it and its been a paper weight ever since. It was top of the line when I ordered it. I sent it back twice because of freezing issues and BSOD. I wasn't even able to enjoy a flight on it. Not even surf the web. I do not recommend xotic pc to anyone!
  13. IRL Atc assigns you the star. If you're using default atc Stars or DPs aren't simulated.
  14. I have a 3 year old Toshiba Qosmio 505 and I'm running the NGX, AAX, plus various Tropicalsim, FlyTampa and LatinVFR sceneries with no issues. I'm not running at full sliders however I enjoy the scenery, and I'm a RL Airline pilot! So if you go with the newer Qosmios you can't go wrong, plus theyre way cheaper than an Alienware overprices crap. BTW I have my tweaks and run on RazonGame booster.
  15. Ok, Thanks. If you guys get an AAX approved I'll join. Vey nice looking VA
  16. Hi, I can't compare it to opus since I don't use opus, however I find it to be very realistic and very easy to adjust. The eye level effect is that you can save the vertical and horizontal view outnof the cockpit. I have my joystick configured to center my view when I press a button.
  17. I'm 100% with Tabs on this one. I don't fly the 737 in real life but the other airliners I have flown are quite constrained with the views and you have to develop a scan. Zooming out isn't realistic at all and just looks like you're flying from the jumpseat, lol. I have my NGX at .80 zoom and use my hat switch to pan around. I find that pretty realistic. I also don't use any of the tracIR or Ezdoc. I only use FSPS Real 3d Cockpit for shaking and eye level effects. RiceySpicey, I know what you mean. The other day I made sure to take a good mental note on my views, head movements and even the shaking while on takeoff and landing. Just to make sure my views were as realistic as possible. I know that when I'm PF I can kinda see about half of the captains panel through my peripheral vision. But that's brurry hence the scan.
  18. At my old airline the procedure was to turn them off climbing through 18,000ft and back on descending through 18,000ft. I know I read it somewhere that it can be changed through fs2crew but can't find it.
  19. Hello, I remember reading a long time ago that this can be done. I'm trying to use the same procedures of my old airline. Can this be done? And if so can someone explain to me how to do it? Thanks,
