What options are available in the FMC regarding preflight cold n dark set up ? Does Ifly have a long and short set up like in the pmdg 777 ? Im asking since there is no fs2cew so I would need to complete the whole preflight myself

What a shame no FS2 crew but will probably buy it anyway at that price point. What are the set up modes for pre flight, is it like PMDG where there is Default, long and short ?

Held back? how naive. When the pendulum stops swinging only then will they stop producing for older platforms. They are business people and not a charity. When the devs that really count such as pmdg and A2A make the announcement then we will no for sure the game is over for all platforms except the latest P3D platform but that could be years away if ever Milviz? ...not even in the ball park

Very true. We all know it would get ugly. Im not buying it as thats an area I wouldn't fly a Cessna in and pmdg would just end up frustrating

Have to agree with fsx - se/Steve's DX10 fixer combo users. Shadows and bloom for no noticeable frame drop and ooms in FSX-SE with pmdg high settings are very rare but they happened a lot in the boxed fsx edition and no need to blow a fortune on pc and new add-ons.. It's a worry when seeing super computers struggling with P3D so those with lower specs are back to tweaking settings again so the fsx connection hasn't improved there. Still waiting for wow factor in any sim combat or civilian but none of them including FSX-SE have it. Perhaps DCS is leading as you can max it out on a high end system no probs but it has its own short comings in other areas Oh well we watch and wait

Are you in a stable speed and rate of climb before engaging IAS? the same thing happens when im i n the F1 mustang unless Im stable first

You are right! I'm using a 10 year old force feed back stick because nobody bothered to create a new one. Why? There is a gap in the market that needs to be filled

IAS is not recommended for descents. To load your aircraft cold and dark you really need fs2 crew that shuts it down quick. im surprised that punters fly this without a co pilot. its not natural and a lot of work!

flew it in FSX SE today and no problems with IAS hold when enabled via fs2crew. You have fs2 crew? only problem my end is runway course for ILS wont work but have another program that can set it

You sure you are i n the correct section in the correct tab? if you are and the wind is showing a head wind eg (+4 ) on a runway and not zero or nil and both ends are green then you have a bug and as mentioned best get over to their forums

Beat me to it and sometimes they are just grey. There is a tab next to the runway procedure tab that thats says metar or something. That tab shows xwind and head and tail component of each runway so you can choose that way but it seems you need to be a fair way on descent for that to work.

The sim is still very CPU dependent . I would overclock it to as high as you can 4.8 ghz is good and that will speed everything up. Im pretty sure the CPU speed is the bottle neck here. Higher setting without stutters should allow the GPU to work harder

hybrid HDD/SSD are a cheap way to store your ORBX/Photoscenery and not to expensive and relatively quick
