Update: It is the speed brake after all. I an eliminate the sound by cycling the speed brake switch as I take the runway. Must be some kinda quirk with Carenado's speed brake gauge as I have seen it in two aircraft..

Anyone have an idea on this one? Rolling down the runway this sort of humming sound starts. Sort of like "hmmmmmm......hmmmmmm.....hmmmmm..." and continues throughout the flight. It is not heard in flight prep or taxi. We all saw that in the Hawker and it was stopped by nudging the speed brake handle to the fully stowed position. On this aircraft I am puzzled. Any thoughts? Suggest you google search on orbx uninstall issues.

There are freeware KSLC and a Complete UTAH which has several nice airports in the mountains.

I have also seen this with the Saitek pedals, but on my rig it seems to be aircraft dependent. Recently I have been flying the PMDG 737NGX and this aircraft handles perfectly and the brakes work perfectly. On some other payware aircraft I find it necessary to apply and release the parking brake to release the toe brakes. Wierd.

Yes I have seen similar behavior in this and other aircraft. However, in RW aviation, turns on to the localizer are generally made at around 30 degrees. ATC will clear turns onto the localizer in that range. Also, when capturing the localizer it helps if the altitude is stabilized and below the glide slope. In some ways, the Hawker is just reflecting RW behavior.

Errr, not trying to pile on 'cause I love this aircraft, but I must say that I have the GTN in 6 other aircraft and this behavior does not occur on the others. The GTN display is bright in both the VC gauge and in the 2-D pop up. Just sayin.......

Go to the Carenado Support page and read through the knowledge base. There is a looonnnngggg thread on this issue. Carenado has done nothing to resolve.

Flying the Hawker with Burt's mods is the best aircraft outside of the PMDG 737, IMO.

Thanks for answering Father. Yes I do own the gtn 750 and I tried all manner of different box checks to see what happened, including checking them all. Then, as you suggest, I edited the aircraft.cfg as described in the .pdf. But when I loaded the aircraft the bezels were visible but no GTN. It would appear as a pop up but not in the panel. Well, probably some error on my part. I'll give 'er another go tomorrow. BTW, do you have a sense of what was added in the update? Maybe installer only changes?

I received an email from Simmarket about Baron update MilViz-BeechB55v2.160429. I looked everywhere for update notes and could find nothing. Then I tried to install it but I was careful to back up my working version which dates back to MV_B55_FSX_V3.150525. Well after about 10 tries I finally gave up and went to my back up version. The latest version will not install properly. The user is presented with a list of things to choose from with no installation instructions or notes. I tried every combination I could imagine to load just the GTN 750 and it just doesn't happen. The GTN will appear as a pop up but not in the panel. Installer needs more work. Really nice airplane but it seems MilViz is trying to do too much with the installer.

Folks who are committed to PD3 should remember that LM is not a computer games business and their continued supply of PD3 depends on a continued market for that product to their primary customer base, and the continued employment of a small cadre of experts. Retirements, market changes, R&D funding refocuses, and PD3 is over. Good to maintain a back up position.

For what it's worth there are several nice freeware MYNNs out there. There's really not a lot to it.
