Have you installed any mesh addons? Some are known to do this to airports.

Their 767 is still a terrific add on. I still fly it. It was amazing back in the day and still is one of the best add ons for FSX. Sure the graphics are somewhat outdated, and more recently developed add ons have surpassed it, but it will forever remain a legend in the flight simming world. What always struck me as incredible is that the 757 is 90% the same as the 767. When they announced it, I was sure it would take no more than 2 years MAX. Seriously, its almost a copy and paste job. The systems are all there in the 767. Make a new exterior, modify a couple of systems that are different, and modify performance data. It should not this long EVEN IF THEY WERE BUILDING FROM SCRATCH. This is like PMDG making the 737-8/900NGX and saying they are working on the 6/700 models and then not coming out with them for 10 years. Still dunno what to think of level D. Went from one of the most respected developers to the butt of a joke.

Hey guys, I found AFM (as per Barry's suggestion) to be very helpful. It has a huge selection of 'fixed' airports and you can choose which ones to install.

Does the red bar appear on the speed tape if you dont program the FMC and just load it up and firewall the throttles? (Sorry if this has been answered, I only skimmed the thread) Best way to rule out an FMC problem. Regards, Ivo

This product looks like its exactly what I need but Im not sure I want to spend money to fix something caused by another add-on. I was under the impression that I could fix issues like this with the AFX demo provided with FSGlobal. Otherwise what is the point in putting the tool there? And its not just this airport thats affected so I will potentially have to buy more terrain adjustment packs. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion! :smile:

Hi guys. I am having an issue with airport elevations being either below or above the surrounding terrain. This makes the airport either sit on a plateau or sit inside a hole. I believe this issue is caused by FSGlobal changing the elevation of the terrain surrounding the airport. FSGlobal provides and airport elevation fix tool in the for of an AFX demo, but I can't seem to work out exactly how to use it. I load up an airport and go to the properties page and simply change the elevation to match the surrounding terrain. However, all it does inside FSX is change the elevation of the runway and now the whole airport perimeter. Is there any way to raise the whole perimeter of the airport to match the rest of the terrain?

How much difference is there between normal 1024x1024 clouds and the 4096x4096 HD clouds. I recently tried several different cloud resolutions but they all look sort of the same to me. I cannot tell the difference between the 1024 and 4096 clouds at all. Even the 512 ones look similar. Im running 1920x1080 with REX. Am I doing something wrong or is there not very much diffence in the way they look in the sim. Haven't done in-depth perfomance tests but I would say they performed relatively the same so I thinking maybe I did something wrong installing the textures. Can anyone shed light on this? Cheers

OP is confused between nautical miles and statue miles. The distance and range are quoted using diffrent units. 1 nm = 1.15 sm Wikipedia quotes the range of the 300ER at 7,930 NM. Therefore, that equals 9119.5 SM. The flight looks to be around 8200 SM so it is well within range for the 777-300ER.

Any improvement in FSX?

Just tested this. Entered three Radial/DME's for 1 fix and all was fine. As soon as I entered a second fix though, the frames dropped by 10 (literally). Running a GTX 670 here. Don't know what the problem is but maybe it overloads the ND. I have my refresh rate set at 20 fps for the ND, perhaps that compounds it as well?

Is there any way to get an airplane into a deep stall. I like to practice emergency situations and I have been trying to get into a deep stall but the nose just drops and I pick up speed again. I find FSX stalls are quite basic. The aircraft almost never enter a spin or roll over. Any ideas how to achieve this?

Anyone think it could be released for mother's day? Robert made a slight hint in his preview with the last question... possible clue? They also said they were upgrading their servers two weeks ago to handle the demand for the 777. Perhaps there are no more previews because the end (or the beggining ) is near! Scott, I am confused about where the 224.33 and 225 course comes from. When I check FSX, it tells me that the localizer course for runway 22 is 221. Please clarify. Otherwise, it looks like your ils is right where it should be! Rob, thank you for making those videos! It correctly shows the exact problem I am dealing with. Perhaps I will look into AFX. Cheers!
