It is good, no need for any add ons IMO. It used to be even better in the beginning but it is gradually getting back there. Tomorrow it will hopefully be even better after the SU12....

Let's LOD again (as we did last summer)
Virtpilot replied to gearsdown's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Could be multiple reasons. Server issues, those happens from time to time. Maybe there is not so good aerial pictures from that part of the world. And lastly, well, Saudi Arabia is mostly.... sand. Desert and sand to the horizon. That could look blurry although it is not. No offense.... -

Hello, sorry to bring such an old topic into life but I have a problem with my Simmarket desktop app. It does not open anymore. Has anybody got similar thing happened? Any advice what to do? -
Comparing JP Logistics C152 to Asobo DA20
Virtpilot replied to jcorstjens's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Yes, I also noticed very strange taxi behaviour when I took that little bird for a test flight. Flying was nice but to my embarrassement I found myself on my nose couple of times as I tried to taxi. I don't know, maybe it is just so realistic and it was my fault... -
There are some interior clutter and cars and buses bgl´s in the scenery folder of the airport. By removing those the scenery might become lighter. Have not tried myself though.

iniBuilds Heathrow V3.0 Update
Virtpilot replied to Tuskin38's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Just bought this from Simmarket. So one can remove those interior_clutter.bgl and cars.bgl files from the scenery folder in order to make the scenery lighter? -
Give Reshade a try if you have been reluctant!
Virtpilot replied to MrBitstFlyer's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I get an error saying that could not compile the lightroom. fx shader. Reshade version is up to date. Any advice with that one? -

Virtpilot replied to MrBitstFlyer's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Been using the reshade for a long time now and I have been very pleased to it. I´m interested to try these shaders but where can I find that Lightroom thing? I have tried to google that but I´m not sure which one is the correct one. -
SU11 - What will benefits users the most?
Virtpilot replied to fppilot's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I hope that the weather system has improved. Flying is moving through air and credible weather system is (for me) perhaps the most important aspect of this wonderful sim. I want that sometimes the weather is so bad that one just can not fly. Or if one tries, it can end with a tragedy.... -
Thanks, that worked again.

Do we have to download from Store first anymore?

Wow... What's your secret to that?? FBW A320 is also my favourite plane to fly but I also got those occasional stutters. Do you lock your frames or anything like that?

How much 'stuttering' do you experience in MSFS?
Virtpilot replied to Noel's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
FBW A32nx, I know, a challenging bird for frames... -
How much 'stuttering' do you experience in MSFS?
Virtpilot replied to Noel's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Okay, made a flight with the settings of 60hz monitor refresh rate and NCP 1/2 vsync. And it was very, very good. Really smooth, some hickups as I flew to Gatwick using the excellent freeware scenery from Flightsim.to. But I guess everybody got hickups in there.... I have disabled the Gsync (Gsync compatible monitor so not a real Gsync) and the adaptive vsync from the monitor settings. MSFS settings i got most on high, some are on ultra like the clouds, trees, texture synthesis (?), TLOD 175. My GPU is GeForce RTX 2060 Super and the CPU is Ryzen 7 3700X. -

Virtpilot replied to Noel's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I had a setup of 60hz monitor refresh, RTSS frame cap at 30 and had that front edge sync turned on. The result was rather disappointing... I have now set up monitor still at 60hz and from NCP 1/2 vsync on. Dumped the RTSS. Initial test looked promising indeed. I will do proper test flight tomorrow with it. -

On a test flight with that RTSS method. Plane is FBW A320. Not so convinced about it to be honest.... Have to try next time that 1/2 vsync thing let's say with 100hz refresh rate. -

What do you recommend for Vsync setting while using this RTSS method?? -

Finally fixed my blurry gauges
Virtpilot replied to RobJC's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Thank you so much for this!! Finally I can use DLSS with FBW A32NX and not to worry about crappy blurry numbers. This also fixed the odd behavior of the numbers on the autopilot. Now I just have to decide, which DLSS setting is the best to use... -
Just checked EKCH, should be cloudy, not a single cloud anywhere in the sim. It´s broken for sure.

More stupid gusts, this time on final
Virtpilot replied to rondon9898's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
No other complaints but I do miss the excellent cloud depiction from the early days. Proper overcast layer till the ground where it suppose to be. -
At a loss concerning the FBW A320(Dev)
Virtpilot replied to Jeff D's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I also experience that stutter now and then on the ground, most annoying it is during take off or landing. And I also switch off co-pilots displays. I´m sure though that FBW people will solve that eventually. -
Which might be the most demanding settings for VRAM?
