  1. Your images aren't showing up, so it's difficult to say for sure what's going on, but if unwanted roads are appearing in the middle of the airport, you might try adding an exclusion zone in WED.
  2. Lots of news lately about X-Plane's current and upcoming 737 simulations, but I haven't seen much mentioned here regarding the upcoming virtual cockpit for EADT's x737 project. While the cockpit has been in the works for a while now, it's begun to take shape over the past several weeks and the devs have been sharing some eye candy over on the .Org. In case you've missed it, check out the screens below! Note: the most recent updates have stressed that this is still a way out since additional systems need to be implemented, so try not to get too antsy! Also, when the cockpit is completed, the project will remain donationware.
  3. A full install of X-Plane 10 Global will clock in at about 55-60 GBs, if I remember rightly. That's without any add-on scenery, planes, and the like. My install (with the HD Meshes v2, a few dozen add-on aircraft, a bunch of liveries, and 200+ scenery packs) is currently 141 GB. Hope this helps!
  4. This was a nice surprise this morning; performance seems noticeably better on my system than 1.2 and its good to see that that memory leak was plugged. There are still a few areas for improvement (cloud shadows, better weather system representation, etc.) but as SMP has been getting better and better all the time, I don't doubt that John and Sundog will find a way to implement these features!
  5. This is such a great project and the crowd-sourcing of regional buildings is a cool way to flesh out the scenery. Maybe I'll take a stab at some houses and box-stores indigenous to the southern US.
  6. This error is caused by ATC taxi route nodes co-existing at the same point in the apt.dat of one of the nearby airports (most likely one with custom scenery). If you're still having trouble with this, try flying around the same area until you get the message, then exit X-Plane and check your log file (or post it here in a code box). This will reveal the the offending package and you can either uninstall it or make the necessary corrections in WED. Hope this helps!
  7. Nice! Looking good! Here are a couple of pictures from Carenado's "Incoming Projects" page:
  8. The video tutorials at the SketchUp site are a good place to start learning the ropes.
  9. Wow, nice sleuthing! Those screens are amazing! I can't believe that those effects have been under our noses this whole time; if only there was a way to get the necessary dataref values to "stick" sim-wide.
  10. Pressing Ctrl + a num key will save the view and pressing just the num key after that will zoom to the saved view. Pressing Ctrl + the num key again will overwrite the old view, which sounds like what might be happening in your case.
  11. One of my favorites! EDDM was the airport that I flew into on my first transcontinental trip; seeing those big "wings" overhead in the courtyard after the long flight from O'Hare was a nice welcome into Germany.
  12. Nice screens! I've had the CRJ for ages now and yet I'm not sure whether I've ever completed a flight in it. Guess I know what I'm flying this weekend!
  13. Woah, those are some nice screens indeed! Way to show off X-Plane's default(-ish) clouds! Personally, I definitely prefer SkyMaxx Pro's 3D approach to cloud rendering, but in its current state it doesn't seem to do as good of a job of rendering complex cloud formations, fronts, etc. as the default engine. Hope this gets improved soon. But that's a topic for another thread. Lookin' good, Murmur!
  14. I've been doing a little reading about the 737-200 since I don't know a whole lot about it and found that Boeing produced -200C and -200QC variants that could be converted between passenger and cargo roles. It'd be cool to see this represented!
  15. This tool has amazing potential. Thanks for all of the hard work that you have undoubtedly put into it--I can't wait to see what it's capable of come release. Looks like I need to get to work building my home areas on OSM!
  16. Nice! I was secretly hoping for a 737 of some sort. Between FlyJSim's -200, IXEG's -300, and the 3D cockpit for EADT's -800 all (hopefully) arriving this year, it's a good time for Boeing fans!
  17. Thanks all! I didn't have the frame counter open for this flight but they were pretty good generally (30-60). Things did get a little dicey (15-20) during the descent into LA what with the large number of objects and heavy cloud cover, but not so bad that it obstructed the landing.
  18. Wow-wee, number 9 made me do a double take! Beautiful screens!
  19. Scheduled service from Dallas-Fort Worth to Los Angeles. The aircraft is FlightFactor's 777 Worldliner (specifically the -200LR); KLAX is part of Ted's Los Angeles and KDFW is brought to you by Brian Godwin on The Org. The latter is a fantastic, detailed airport package--don't know why it's taken me this long to fly here! Enjoy! Push-back complete. Spooling up those massive GE90s: Taxiing out to 17C: See ya, Dallas! Just a shot of the office: Climbing towards Abilene: Passing over Phoenix at FL360: Cruising in clear skies: A gloomy day over LA: Gear down: Touchdown! Welcome to Los Angeles!
  20. Excited to see what it is! I don't yet own any of FJS' products, but I've seen and heard only good things!
  21. Nice shots! I experimented with cloud shadows a while back and was surprised how much they added to the scenic realism of X-Plane. As others have stated, it'd be nice to see them return!
  22. I saw this posted last night and it seems like there are some interesting possibilities. It would definitely be cool to see rain, snow, and dust storms based on the technology.
  23. Not a problem. By all accounts, 10.30 is shaping up to be an important patch; I believe that many of us here are awaiting it with varying degrees of impatience.
