  1. ZL20?! Wow, how much hard drive space is that eating up. I didn't think that level was so readily available. And at what cost to performance? Sounds very interesting. I've been using ZL17, used up just over 7GB for all of the United States.
  2. I personally prefer the REP over AFL. I feel it sounds so much better, and I see quite a few places where the visual model isn't as well done as in the default/REP aircraft. I never liked the sounds in the AFL. And like you, my frame rate was not as good with the AFL. And with REP getting updates, it just keeps getting better. I think the best way to convince you one way or the other is to ask, do you like the default 172 enough to fly it? If so, you will enjoy it even more with REP. It really fine tunes the plane and makes the procedure more realistic. It will not change the visual model, except to add tie-downs, chocks, and inlet covers, plus the ability to tow your aircraft.
  3. I just don't understand all the fuss with not having a full, detailed manual with this plane at the release of this plane. It is so easy to look up the information on line. I'm so glad you went ahead and released the plane instead of holding on to it until you could get one made for it. Instead, we have a beautiful, very fly-able airplane that we can enjoy, just before Christmas. I, for one, would certainly prefer to get the plane now, without a manual, then to wait who knows how long for it with a complete manual. Within minutes after downloading it, I had it installed and flying it, with a manual I found on line that took me only a few more minutes to find. Not that difficult. And even without the manual, this plane is WELL worth the price. Nowhere else will you find a more detailed Proline21 in any sim than you have here. It is a simulation in itself. Even though I am very familiar with the KingAir, I really enjoy the videos. They are well done and easy to understand. It seems I'm one of a few people who is totally enjoying all the effort you have put in to this wonderful aircraft. And I appreciate even more just how hard you are trying to accommodate everyone. I truly hope you had an enjoyable and much deserved break during the holidays without worrying too much about so much of the negativity I've seen here in forums. I couldn't be more happy with this release and am enjoying flying it everyday. Thank You, Milviz, from the bottom of my heart, for another outstanding product. I'm really looking forward to you next release.
  4. That is a very nice video. Thank you for sharing it with us. I agree that the 777 from IPACS is an amazing "gift" from them. My first flight with it was from Denver to KLAX, in VR and the flight was amazing. The plane flew flawlessly, and the view was amazing!. The plane is nicely detailed, and the sounds are really good as well. Thank you IPACS for an amazing gift.
  5. Yes, one of the drawbacks to autogen scenery packs. When Nuvecta was just getting started, I bought Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. The Ohio river was full of trees. But I contacted their support, and they fixed it right away. Within a day or two I had a patch for it. I noticed today that their web site is under construction. Hope it is not a bad sign.
  6. That is good to know. I have tried both, and couldn't really see any difference. I'll have to check them out more thoroughly. I have been thinking RWS was better. I'll check them out again. Thank you.
  7. I have been using it since their beginning. . Its basically just autogen for your photoscenery. You have to have the photoscenery though. It doesn't come with it. I've used it with ortho scenery I made with Ortho4XP, and also with MegaScenery. It is easy to install, doesn't take up much space, and quick to download. It isn't spectacular, but it is far better than a flat world with photoscenery and no autogen. And for the price, you really can't go wrong.
  8. While I'm no expert with the KingAir or ProLine21, I have to say, this plane and PL21 is amazing! I've purchased and flown just about every KingAir for sims available, and this is absolutely the best you can get. The PL21 is amazing with it's depth of simulation. The sounds are incredible as well. And hands on flying it is sweet. Thank you so much, Milviz, for such a wonderful aircraft. I personally feel it was well worth the wait. Happy Holidays! Now get some well deserved rest.
  9. Wow! It is a shame that, especially just before this holiday, that just as soon as this aircraft is released, the first several comments on here have to be bashing it, and from people who didn't even try it before complaining about it. This happens to be a really beautiful aircraft, inside and out, and I don't think you will see a better simulation of the Proline 21 anywhere. The sounds are amazing as well. Just because one person "reviewed" it and said it did not "fly by the book" does not justify posting so much negativity towards it. I am very grateful to Milviz for releasing this beautiful aircraft, especially just in time for the holidays. We should be supporting these developers, not ripping them apart. If you want to publicly rip it apart, you should at least buy it, prove it, and report the bugs. Help them help you. Thank you Milviz for such an awesome aircraft. Happy Holidays Everyone!
  10. While I don't have a video showing you that the aircraft does follow the nav properly, I can confirm that it really does follow it. I've done several flights with it so far and it has followed the FP every time. I'll fly it again and take down some notes to post on how I set it up. I can't remember every step off the top of my head without looking at the panels. I'll see if I can figure out what you might be missing to get to follow correctly. I should have something posted by monday night.
  11. it's a real FMS advice that displays when there is no Flight Plan loaded and the FMS-TXT option is selected on MFD's upper format menu.
  12. I just completed a flight in this 777 from Denver to LAX. It was such an awesome experience flying it in VR. The plane performed very well, though I could not get the auto-throttle to work properly. Other than that, it was a perfect flight. The plane details look amazing! Thank you so much for this free gift.
  13. I bought it, fly it regularly, and have no real issues with it. I have an older I7/3770 CPU and still get a smooth flight.
  14. I'm just the opposite. I'm a Cessna pilot, and I always thought that Pipers were boring........that is, until I started flying the Arrow. I have to totally agree with you that the Arrow is the most beautiful of them all so far. Justflight is doing an incredible job with their aircraft. I have the 152 as well, and it is the most beautiful 150/152 I have ever seen and flown. When I view it in the sim, I feel like I'm looking at the real deal. They did an outstanding job on this one as well. I can't wait to see what else comes down the line from them. They have definitely re-sparked my interest in AeroflyFS, and their X-Plane, P3D, and FSX versions are just as incredible. Oh, and the C152 is NOT boring, the Tomshawk is.😄
  15. It is working for me just fine. Just remember to update your "key" at the beginning of each month(under the "downloads" tab on their site.
  16. The other file you are talking about that gets installed is a small program called "AutogenConfigurationMerger.exe" which merges your current autogen files with the ALBQ custom autogen. The only time it runs is when a new addon modifies the autogen files during install, it will run the next time you start P3D or FSX, whichever sim(s) you are using. There will be an entry in your exe.xml file for loading the AutogenConfigurationMerger program. Backups of your original autogen files are located in \user\AppData\Roaming\SceneryDesign.org\AutogenConfigurationMerger\Prepar3Dv4\backup01 folder. these are backups of your original autogen files that are located in you Prepar3D v4's autogen folder. You may have multiple backups, depending on how many times you have tried installing or un-installing scenery with custom autogen. You can copy the backup that corresponds to when you first installed ALBQ back into your autogen folder, overwriting the existing autogen files. Make sure you disable or remove the AutogenConfigurationMerger program before you do this, or it will run again the next time you run P3D. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more help. I honestly don't think this has anything to do with the issue you are having. Even if you remove ALBQ and keep AutogenConfigurationMerger where it is, it should not cause any issues with P3D other than displaying slightly different autogen. None of the simwest sceneries load any airport afcads. They only enhance the scenery around the airports with photoscenery and custom autogen. Monica simwest beta tester
  17. Where in the scenery library is it listed? If you have it at the top, try lowering it just below "Global, Generic & Vehicle Libraries" and see if that helps.
  18. Excellent post Marcus, it would be perfect in the manual. I think it gives us a really good understanding of just how hard it would be to make your scenery 100% compatible with ALL scenery addons.
  19. Really nice shots! I've always loved those big bombers. Thank you for sharing.
  20. I don't see what the issue is with the picture you posted. If you are talking about airport textures, this scenery addon does not replace or enhance the airport, or any airports. It only enhances the surrounding area with photo scenery plus autogen.
  21. I've been using "MattDavies_Dec18" preset and really love it. It works great anywhere I fly, and sometimes I'll adjust the HDR settings in sim slightly to adjust for seasons or locations. The preset is a great starting point, even without any HDR adjustments.
  22. You let the Cat out of the bag? I'm so glad, I am having a very hard time not saying anything 🙂
  23. I too am not seeing any drops going from 4.4 to 4.5. I'm sure Pete didn't mean that EVERYONE will suffer the drop in performance, since there are so many hardware and software configurations out there. And I do not use any Orbx (yet), so I have compared performance with virgin installs and did not see any performance loss.
