  1. try running ipconfig.exe. Look for the line "IPv4 Address" That is the IP that xpuipc is looking for.
  2. Actually HiFi is actively working on their ActiveSky for XP. They posted on their forums some time ago for Beta Testers to start testing it. I applied, but didn't get picked for the first round of testing, but they sent me an email letting me know I should re-apply later this month for the next round of testing. I am really anxious to see what they bring to XP.
  3. No, the clouds don't render out more than about 50-75 miles, but uses haze effects to blend the clouds to the horizon. It works okay for general aviation, but for jets it does not look nearly as good.
  4. I just bought this a few days ago. The sky textures are the best I have ever seen. They really look amazing. The water textures look very good as well. I bought it mainly for the cloud textures. Sadly this is the one area where I was disappointed. It gives you several controls to adjust the lighting, size, and shape of the clouds, but I did not really care much for the selection of cloud textures. There are many freeware textures that look far better. And the promo video claims that there is absolutely no frame rate hit. While under most settings this was true, I did find that some of the cloud options caused a significant drop in frames. But I have to say, the overall impression made my jaw drop when I first loaded the sim up with the new textures. I loaded up at dawn with the new sky and few clouds, and when I switched to an external view, it looked so real, I was totally amazed. I am satisfied with my purchase, and the more I tinker with the cloud tools, the more I am liking them, but I think I will be trying some freeware clouds with the product. The tech support is very good. The developer is very active in the forum, and interacts very well with customers. And he responds very quickly to any requests. He is very open to suggestions as well. Top notch support.
  5. of course, FS9 is way better than FSX, and even better than P3D(all versions). I get no OOMs, very smooth frame rates, and it doesn't take up as much hard drive space.......what can be better than that? (except maybe FS4)
  6. Wow, it is soooo smooth. This is by far the smoothest flying sim I've ever flown. With all my settings maxed, it was super smooth with no stutter and no lag. Outstanding work!
  7. It looks like its out, as I can select vulkan in my graphics settings. Now if I can only figure out how to contact support. I have gone through and set all my control settings and TrackIR settings, but every time I try to go and fly, the sim loads up in the cockpit upside down and I can't figure how to reset my view right side up.
  8. I have been using BashIT-TreesWest xTreme Trees East and West, which is new payware, and I'm very happy with it. I'm using Ortho ZL17 for all of the US, and this works perfectly with it. I've checked out quite a few areas and have not seen trees in stadiums or building, and even the roads are clear of trees. Brian did an amazing job with these packages to make sure the trees are where they are supposed to be. And for only $10 for each package, it is definitely worth the money in my opinion. These two packages give you complete coverage of the entire US including Alaska and Hawaii, and is so simple to install. He even offers a free demo, so you can check it out before you buy. I bought East at SimMarket, but West here at the Org store. The demo is available here at the Org free downloads area.
  9. Amazing aircraft, Thank You Aerobask! What an amazing free gift.
  10. I love every one of your paints. I especially love this one. Outstanding job! Absolutely beautiful.
  11. Ditto, Ditto, Ditto. What can I say. I have both as well and can no longer part with either. I cannot say which one I like better. It changes all the time. It depends what I am in the mood to do. Most of the time I like better AI traffic where P3D would win hands down, but P3D does not have photo scenery available for it that looks nearly as good as what you can get (for free) for X-Plane. I was never really satisfied with night lighting in FSX or P3D, but to me, X-Plane night flying is stunning. And of the two sims, I like the detail and realism of the aircraft in P3D/FSX much better than in X-Plane, especially with the GA aircraft. I haven't found a GA plane in XP yet that has a good start-up and shut-down sound. But again, it all depends on the mood I am in or what kind of flying I intend to do when deciding which sim I am going to fly. As stated above, X-Plane does not have a refund policy that I know of, but they do have a demo that you can try to get a feel for it. P3D does have a refund policy, so if you don't like it enough, you can get a refund. I honestly feel though that you will end up like alot of us who just can't tell you which one you should get and end up getting both and loving each for what they have to offer. There is no way I will ever part with either.
  12. Same here, GTX970, no frame rate drop.
  13. sorry for the late reply, but no issues for me either. I have two installs of 11 beta updated to the latest. Each copy has different lua addons, but none are giving me any issues.
  14. I also recommend the Milviz 310. I have no issues with the lighting at all. But if you don't like it, there is a 310 by Alebeo which I have also ad it is quite nice. It is not as detailed as the Milviz 310, but I do like it almost as much.
  15. Yes, these trees are a whole lot more accurate than the overlay trees. I keep my overlay layer active and have these trees just above the libraries. I haven't noticed any of the overlay trees conflicting or contrasting with these new trees. They just blend right in. I could not be happier with them. They blend seamlessly with all of my sceneries.
  16. I find this to be a fantastic addon. I bought the full product and have tried it in SW Ohio, upstate New York, part of Kentucky, and eastern Tennesee, and all I can say is "Oh Wow!!!" It sure made a big difference. To me it is worth every penny, and then some. I know it has to have taken alot of time and effort to get this level of detail. And it really makes the visual even more immersive. The placing of the trees have been spot on with the ortho scenery I have made so far. Thank you Brian for a wonderful product, and I'm definitely looking forward to the western half of the U.S., and I'll be the first in line to buy it.
  17. Awesome repaint. Thank you so much!
  18. Wow! Absolutely beautiful job. Thank you for sharing. Do you take requests?
  19. I have it installed in FSX as well as P3D, and the performance is about the same. It handles very nice, the sounds are much better than the original version, and with dual RXP, I don't have any noticeable frame rate loss. The new panel looks incredible with matching radios and radar, and the texture detail looks very realistic. Very well done Milviz!
  20. Just a little note while we are talking about fuel....I noticed that the primer switch seems to be working backward. When you turn the aircraft power on, the primer pump comes on, then when you switch to either engine to prime, the pump stops, then when you release the primer switch, the pump comes on and stays on. This is with P3Dv3 and v4 only. FSX is working properly. It's no biggie to me, just thought I'd mention it to let you know and to see if it is a bug, or if maybe I'm doing something wrong. I get it whether I'm doing a cold-and-dark load, or an engines-running load.
  21. Sounds like it might be a compatibility issue with 4.2. I'm still in 4.1 and the radar is working perfectly. What I like about this redux 310 is that I'm using RXP 530/430, and the radar, and the panel setup installs them with matching bezels, so they are all the same color and texture. I kinda hated when I'd install the radar in earlier versions and it would stand out because it was a different color. Now they all look the same. It is a very nice touch.
  22. Oh My!!! This is a fantastic addon. I finally have it working perfectly after reading your last post. Thank you so much. The doors opening when walking up to an aircraft is a really nice touch. I can tell I'm going to be spending alot of time playing with this addon. Thank you for the product, and a Huge Thank You for your support. Hell, Back to Flying, Monica
  23. Thank you for the reply. I'll try the WAMA position save again, and do it as you described. Even with the issue I'm having, I've still been enjoying this software. Thank you for your support.
  24. When I first installed WAMA, section 3.2 of the manual talks about "if you want to initially import your saved flights", so I did that. When I did, the aircraft were parked in locations several feet away from where I saved the flight from. Even when I hit "Save position now" the aircraft will load several feet away. I only had three saved flights to begin with, and I've been making sure there are no duplicate aircraft.
