Thought I will give MSFS2020 a try again, did the upgrade, and I assume it includes the hotfix (now on 1.10.8.0) but FSUIPC does not seem to work. Am I missing something?

Fortunately you have the option not to upgrade to the latest version with P3D, I will wait for the 3rd party developers to catch up.

Nope. Did not solve the problem. Did another flight without using pause at all and it was not logged. Back to the drawing board.

I did some testing using various combinations of actions and I think I finally found the culprit that caused my flights not to be logged. There is another pause / un-pause function in the sim (not active pause) that I mapped some buttons to in the beginning days of the sim. This pause prevented the autopilot trim from running away when you pause so I kept on using it. I seems like in the first patch something changed and this hard pause during a flight now results in the flight not being logged. Since the problem with the autopilot and soft pause has been fixed I guess I do not need the hard pause any more.

I see that under Windows > Settings > Apps There is an option to move the installation. Not sure if that does what you are looking for as I have not clicked on it.

Tried rebooting - re-installing and rebooting - not working for me after the patch.

Mine stopped working (not flying in developer mode) and I found that after I made some changes to my graphics settings and saved them the log started updating again. Maybe that gave it a bit of a kick in the pants.

I found that after I changed and saved some graphics settings it started saving my flights to the log again.

No - I never fly in developer mode. - Spending more time now trying to find solutions to problems than actually flying 🤬

After installing the patch (1.9.3.0) I did about 4 or 5 flights (all with successful takeoffs and landings) but found that only one of the flights was logged in the logbook. Has any one else seen this or found a solution?

Had the same problem, the system stated I had a network problem and switched me to offline mode. Check your setting under General > Data and make sure that - Bing data world graphics - is turned on. PS. Photogrammetry can also not be turned on without the above setting is ON.

I am surprised, even my remote part of the world now has power lines. Feeling more positive again

Thanks Willy, I assigned the views to buttons on my controller but using that or the Alt-(0-9) keys makes no difference.

Did it keep the zoom level of the custom views. When set up the view and save it, and then call it up again the zoom levels are different.

Back to flying P3D V5

After the patch all my carefully constructed custom views are gone and it looks like if you try to save custom views it does not save the zoom level. I saw there is a new function for "Pilot camera position can now be saved or reset" but that does not save the zoom level either. Anyone found a way to fix this. Really missing Chaseplane now.

This patch is a joke. Destroyed my controller calibration and I can not get it back (editing xml files is not a solution to fix something that worked previously) and all my custom views and with the patch it does not save the zoom levels. Is there a way to uninstall the patch.

Wanted to see what happens to my profile when I reach 50 hours in the logbook. My profile shows 5 successful takeoofs (logbook counts 114), landed at 2 different airports (logbook 103 landings) and I have flown 1447.06 seconds with AP engaged and 1447.06 seconds without AP. Is it possible that the sim went through all of this alpha and beta testing without anyone noticing this.

I have to smile. When FS2020 was first announced and they started sharing all the nice screenshots and videos it was said that this would mean the end of the road for 3rd party developers as the new sim would have it all.....

Only problem is that all the files in the MSF directories (including LocalState and Community) gets encrypted and you can not even copy files you created yourself from these directories. Very frustrating as I want to keep backups of some of my files. Has anyone found a way around this or is it something I did wrong during installation.

I think I figured out the most significant difference in the style of the sims. MSFS is meant to be flown from the chase view outside the cockpit (3rd person view most gamers prefer) so you can see the landscape around you while still seeing most flight parameters on the gauges provided while P3D is meant to be flows from the pilots seat in a first person view. 😃
