Hello all. Normally I can figure out what is causing my sim not to launch in the resources available here and elsewhere on the internet, but this one has me stumped. I started up P3D for the first time in a couple weeks today, after installing the Aerosoft CRJ and Turbulent Designs KIDA, and the first launch went smoothly. I went in to move some sliders around, and after making minor slider changes, the sim will not start. CTD every time. I have tried rebooting, as well as starting the sim with all security turned off, all to no avail. Below is my report and any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks. You will enjoy the 600/700 expansion when it is released. Personally, my favorite is that with the expansion you can simulate a BBJ fairly well, minus the different fuel tank configuration. Then your imagination is the limit. :)

Thank you to the PMDG team for getting this out. Can't wait to take my favorite 737 for a spin. It's been a while. Never got to use P3Dv3.x so it's been well over a year since I've flown her.

I personally never really noticed any geometry issues until I read this thread in its entirety. And I totally understand the reasoning. It will not affect my enjoyment of the aircraft. What does bother me personally is the overly negative remarks that are rampant throughout the PMDG (and AVSIM over all) forums. And they are usually from the same one or two people. Are the forums not the place to come and have conversations about the products? The fact that this happens so often has really limited the time I spend here. Which is unfortunate as the Avsim forums have been a staple to flight simulation for a very long time now. Some people just need to learn how to communicate like adult human beings.

I too am longing for some Lear time. So much went into creating this bird, I hate not being able to use it in V4. That and I never was able to get my favorite paint job. :(

I can only dream of a PMDG level 757 or 767. In my opinion these are under represented aircraft in modern times. The 757 is just as ubiquitous now as the 727 is was meant to replace.

I wanted to let everyone know that I heard back from Kaspersky, and after a few emails back and forth they determined it was indeed a false positive. There was never anything wrong on Marks end or with the software. However, as Mark fixed the issue before Kaspersky got too it, this all may be a moot point. Thanks for the quick response to your customers Mark! Excellent service as usual.

I currently have an open case with Kaspersky and they are looking at this figure out what is causing the false positive. Also, the new version of the program has the same results with Kaspersky. I cannot unpack the zip file as it deletes the executable file every time. I will keep you posted on what I find out.

I have Foreflight working fine in V4. I did not have to use the plugin at all. In fact, I could not find where to actually download the plugin, but did not have any luck so I decided to give it a try. And it just worked. The only issue I run into from time to time is that sometimes there will be periods where the aircraft symbol will "flip flop" 180 degrees very quickly but the track and information do not seem to be affected. I do not recall fiddling with any settings in P3D either.

I will also note that Kaspersky does not like simserver.exe. Took me quite a while to get it installed and running as it would automatically be blocked and then deleted.

I will admit that PMDG is one of the few developers where the wait is worth it. You can rest assured it will happen when they have them ready.

Agreed. This is the only thing that has kept me from using X Plane full time. I prefer not to have an empty world.

I will throw in another vote for this bird. Its a lot of fun to scoot around in. Only issues I have are the lack of WX radar and terrain, but that will come later in the beta.

There another readme specific P3Dv4 within MakeRunways that requires you to download and install a third program so that the previous two can function properly. I usually try to make sure that I am careful with what I do to my P3D installs, as Rob Randazzao mentioned recently. When I saw a few layers of readme and exe files to make this work in P3Dv4, it threw up a red flag for me as a spot that others may miss and wonder why they don't get a proper install, or something doesn't work.

Just a notice to everyone, when installing RAAS into P3Dv4, make sure to read and follow the readme files. There are a few extra programs to use as well as steps to complete. Hope this helps at least one person. Overall, for a full price "Upgrade", the install seems a bit convoluted. Just my 2 cents worth.

When mine originally happened there were no entries in the Event Viewer. Going back and looking now the only event even close to that time is Event ID 302 ESENT. As far as comparing notes, I listed what I know to report. I will however note that my drivers are the latest Nvidia version 382.53. Video cards are 1080Ti FE SLI on a custom water loop.

Side note so that this may garner more attention, this is on a new build that has never had any other version of P3D installed. Only P3Dv4 addons are in use, and none that require any changes to XML files.

Hello, I just experienced a CTD while using the 77F, and wanted to inquire if anyone else has had a similar issue. Flight was a very long KMEM-OMDB and the CTD happened roughly 12 hours into the 13 hour flight. I sat down to get ready for TOD, and as I turned on the Dome Light the sim immediately crashed to desktop. No "P3D has stopped working" warning message, nor could I find anything in the Event Viewer. I did however create a .cab file using the PMDG Ops Center, and will share with Tech Support if they are interested. Thanks.

Hello all. I did not find a lot of up to date info via a search, so wanted to start a new thread. Personally, the only thing I am now missing from my sim is AI traffic. And it does not seem any of the developers of AI traffic software are in much of a hurry to get this issues addressed. For me, flying in an empty world is not all that great. Doable? Sure. But when you land at KATL and you are the only aircraft on the field, it reminds me why I am not heavily invested in XP11. So what's the latest scoop? I know UTLive is "out", which I purchased thinking it would be along reasonably quickly, but not much activity there. I can't be alone in this dilemma. Thanks for your time and valuable feedback.

This is one my most awaited addons. I have been following it for a couple years now. Like others have said, I have moved on to P3Dv4, so I guess I'm in for a longer wait. I really hope QW knocks this one out of the park.
