Just to say that the above 'hack' did not work following a failure of my keyboard and joystick/rudder, during a 9.5 hour flight in the PMDG BBJ.... 😡 Had to exit the flight just 40 miles to destination, after 9 hours. Quit the sim, went to PMDG Ops Centre and there was a new update. Not going to be testing the PMDG 737 on a long-hauler any time soon though! I'm in a great, stropping big huff with PMDG at this point! 😄

I've just flown a 9.5 hour BBJ flight. Half way through my keyboard became non-functional. I went into the EFB and cycled the "on-screen keyboard". It came back. Then just after the TOD, my joystick and rudders became non-functional (strangely, throttles still worked), and the keyboard became non-functional again. This time, cycling the EFB did nothing. The 'Ctrl+Alt+Del' hack also didn't work. I closed the flight down, just 40 miles from my destination airport, after a 9 hour flight. 😫 I immediately went to the Ops Center this morning and saw there was a further update for the 737. I hope it's fixed that showstopping issue! Was very unpleasantly surprised to see this type of end to a flight with a PMDG plane.

I may be miles off here, but if Windows is set up to not shut the screen off due to inactivity, then wouldn't the issue be within in you TV's settings? Apols if I've misunderstood.

Who's upset? Oh you mean because people are talking about things in MSFS they don't like, or they'd like to change? ...like 78% of all AVSIM content. Which is 'sillier'? :- posting about disliking a loading screen, or taking up your time to post that you think that someone disliking a loading screen is silly?

I'm not sure you can. I could not even find where they are saved/located in the MSFS directory.

I want to come up with a new word or phrase for people that belittle other's views on here; passively-aggressively insulting them and alluding that they're imbeciles because of their view(s). I'm going to go with the phrase; Lofty Nosers (on the basis that these people look down their noses at others, from a great height). 😄 It's usually the same people too, who only ever post negative, belittling comments along the lines of "Omg.. this place is a joke. You're complaining about XXXXX, on a silly video game, blah, blah". Until there's a minor, pedantic matter that bugs them, then they'll be all over that 😄 Every single post and comment on here (or any other forum) is 100% subjective. What is 'nothing' to some, is a big deal to others. So to judge others' comments as pedantic and silly is meaningless and pretty egotistical. Who decides what is meaningless and what is important? For the record, I detest the Dune loading screen 😄 ... but not enough to buy a payware loading screen app thing. Probably not enough to do anything about it, other than wait for SU15, or to go boil an egg or something.

I'm so glad you posted this Ryan. I love Tim's work but I'm not a fan of retro liveries. 😄 I was looking last night but the retro one above was the only one that mentioned the new TC work in the FS.TO description. Can now fly your nice shiny new one with the corrected TC stuff! 👍

I had some problems assigning the throttle(s) in AAO too. As Bob suggested, I used AAO's version of the completely standard THROTTLE_AXIS and it worked fine.

Another one here who, despite all the fab GA releases we've had, does still enjoy taking the CAR CT182T out for a spin. I've always thought it has a really nice, convincing flight model. With these new TC mods, it's a no brainer. Off to grab those liveries!

These AP altitude / trim runaways sound like something is going wrong with the CWS mode in the plane. I'm definitely going to leave the V2 for a week or so and let the dust settle. If there is a bug with it, we can be sure JF will be onto it and have it patched quickly.

I was just wondering if there would be any feedback from someone more motivated than I, for this plane! In no-one chooses to share any views, that's absolutely fine. I always have issues logging into the Pilot's website. I have to reset my password every time. It's one of those FS websites that I log into once every 8 years 😄

Would love to hear some views on what this latest version is actually like. I bought the Dash 7 on release last year and it was so universally poor across the board, that I deleted it after one flight. I'm not sure if a couple of updates could have rescued it, but I would love to be wrong!

As Donka said, BD has probably quarantined them. I honestly don't know why anyone bothers with these invasive, false-positive loving 3rd party anti-virus packages. Windows Defender (although they no longer use that branding in Win 11) is kept bang up to date and is comprehensive and understands the Windows environment better than any other 3rd party package can. All these packages ever do for people is cause installation and performance problems and proudly announce a load of false-positives. And strangest thing is, some people actually pay to have this junk on their PC!

Another way to easily tell, is that the STBY frequency has a box around it (blue I think from memory).

Try this > it's worked on a couple of planes where this happens for me. (Might not work in the PMDG but worth a try if it happens again, in the 737 or anything else. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del Windows Lock screen appears Press cancel I did the above for a few lock-ups, and perhaps it was the refreshing of the display, context or runtimes, but it 100% gave me my controls back.

I think the last timescale MS mentioned, after the 26th March date came and went, was "sometime in April". I know we certainly don't have a date at this point.

Nice! Ironically, I've been flying the 146 (V1) a lot lately, as it regenerated my interest for it, when the fancy video of V2 came out. So I'm going to let the dust settle and queues wane, before grabbing V2 and flying it. As others have said, awesome that JF have provided such a comprehensive update for a product this old 😎

What do you actually do when you 'walk' into an airport interior in MSFS? (Serious question). Is it just to have a peek and then never look again, or would you regularly walk into the airport. I'm not taking the **** here, I'm just trying to understand the advantages of high detailed interiors, given the potential performance impact. I do like to see some interior detail in terminals - but just from the outside, and a decent parallax effect is more than enough for my desires.

I was going off an old Reddit post 😄 But however you mix it, there's no enhancement available for the LVFR A330. Not at this point. Perhaps in the future. You never know, we might have the Aerosoft A330 soon......... < 😄

I think it's only the spoiler axis that this applies to. The spoiler shortcut work fine for me when I press the default '/' key or press an assigned button. One press deploys fully, a further retracts fully.
