  1. Sorry Kai, but I am lost... I started AIM and got the update as instructed, "Verify setup" and reset SimObject. I received several messages during the lengthy loading of AIM to put my OCI files in another location because it was "close to the maximum path", so I went to the AIM UI screen where I could relocate the OCI, choose a simple *E:MSFS Adonis/Tools", selected it, I was told it would take a while, restart AIM, which i did, but then AIM won't reopen anymore , finally it did but then I am pestered with this message telling me to move my OCI file which I would be very happy to do but then I am stuck with the message that won't go away and let me do what I should, this is an S.O.S for me. Sorry but this is a bit confusing for old minds like mine... Could you kindly clarify? I must add that, until now, I have been very happy with your excellent add-on that gives life to my sim, a big thank you to all contributors!
  2. I don't have a problem with that because I use Track IR. Perhaps that explains why I did not get your question.
  3. Can you reformulate your question please, not sure I understand it?
  4. On a LFPG-MMMX flight Monday I had an excellent fuel consumption, and an almost perfect flight until the very last segment when I prepared for the descent from FL380, first when setting the approach in the FMC, the LNAV would not remain on track anymore (while it was flawless during the whole flight), I had to use HDG mode, then descent was at first too fast - more than 5'000 ft/mn, suddenly it stopped and would not descend anymore when reaching +/- FL310 (I had FL280 selected), VS would first work, then stop, I finally had to disconnect the A/P to continue manually my descent. Upon each release I marvel at the improvements this mod has brought to the stock MSFS plane. Looks like more refinements are needed, but great job anyway given this is a one-man show! These comments were added to the GitHub site and I encourage you to do the same if you have issues, this will help the developer to rectify them.
  5. This is possible with Multi Crew Experience, you can interact with ATC, your Co-pilot, ground crew and cabin crew. The only draw back at this time is that your MSFS co-pilot will repeat what you just said to ATC, other than that (!) it works flawlessly. This is due to the present impossibility to "shut down" the MSFS co-pilot (which was not a problem with previous sims). Here is a link to their AVSIM forum if you want to learn more.
  6. So you are on an NDA with them, fine! Now let's spill the beans: FSL's Concorde, Fénix A320? Or more simply a working weather, working ATC, working flight planner for MSFS? No, let me think... that has to be linked to Santa Claus coming with his flying sledge on an MSFS special WU on Christmas with all the above? Close enough? Or the FBW A380 first release...
  7. That beats everything I had in my collection of colloquialisms! Thanks for sharing Bob!!!
  8. Then evidently you don't use the Track IR Pause at all! And if you don't, what you have done definitely cures your problem, not for those using Pause which is very useful when dialing a frequency in turbulences... for example, but not only. The Pause button cannot be used anymore.
  9. Did you change the settings in the Assistance? You can revert to your previous state changing each of them to your liking including ATC.
  10. I don't really mind the updates, what I do mind is the succession of failures coming as a result of a maddening and unrealistic calendar with fixed dates, not allowing quality control and reliable testing before release. Why the absolute urgency to release on a specified date when all IT developers generally abstain from committing themselves to such a nightmarish prospect? Why release an update that is known to break - for example - Track IR, that will immediately antagonise a large chunk of users? Why the insufferable urge to add more feature before fixing those that are supposed to work in the first place? This has to be a new way of doing business that was not taught in the past in well known business schools, it could be called "rush to suicide"...! I would not want to be part of the Asobo management, even for a golden salary, the stress they work under is unreasonable.
  11. You don't need doing that If you setup a key to reactivate it and configure one of your stick button for it, it's easy to work around. Go to Keyboard setting, select Head Tracking and a combination of keys (for example CTRL+H) and then use one of your yoke button if you have one free (you can always replace the PAUSE that cannot be useful anyway). But what you cannot avoid is the PAUSE getting to the center of your screen making it totally unusable, and that's the most irritating item for me as I do use the PAUSE button a lot to set my instruments: try dialing a frequency when you are in turbulences, you're in for a zoom-in-zoom-out festival and no frequency change... I like the Release notes: SOMETIMES Track-IR may stop in flight... No, always! As long as Asobo will have to stick to a fixed calendar for their releases, this sort of mishaps will happen! How else can we explain that no experienced IT developer shy away from published release dates in advance? I would not mind waiting a couple of days more for a new release to avoid this kind of aggravation, frankly.
  12. Sorry, I am not in front of my sim PC now and cannot remember which of the button had to be reselected, but I believe it was the "Show message log in ATC Menu", see on the right side of the UI where the explanations are given for each button when you point your mouse on a button. I won't be able to use my sim before tomorrow morning unfortunately, so I cannot offer a more precise advice.
  13. John, where is your MSFS installed, on your C drive or another drive? Where does your UserCfg.opt point to for your packages (last line)? Are you using the same folder indicated in your UserCfg.opt file when you download your updates?
  14. Simply select it into your settings, FYI all settings have been reset to EASY, review each of them and you will have your ATC history back if that is what you want.
  15. Yep! MSFS...😎 Seriously now, a good number of us - including myself - answered YES emphatically, AND sincerely, to a survey organised by FSLab a few years ago (I cannot remember exactly when), but since then many jumped ship and abandoned P3D, hence I am sure FSLab does not count anymore on this survey as a reliable revenue projection...! Only they can decide if they want to pursue a vanishing market or tackle a growing new one.
  16. I am much more concerned about the poor maintenance of this office, as depicted, with humidity stains all over the walls, this reflects very badly for the people working in that office, I have no idea where ROKR is, but the unions should immediately go on strike for such poor working conditions...
  17. Yes it is possible and here is how I do it: Please try the following: Create your FP in Simbrief, generate the FP Using the Simbrief downloader, transfer your FP to MSFS LocalState folder When on the MSFS map, select on the bottom menu line "Load and Save" click "LOAD" Select the saved Simbrief FP, click OPEN, your FP will appear on the planning line, Choose your gate or parking position from the DROP DOWN list - NOT from the map (hover your mouse on the airport map to see which position you wish, but don't select it from the map otherwise your FP will be changed by MSFS...) Check your altitude on the NavLog and, if necessary (but it likely won't be), change it Load your flight and ATC will give you the altitude filled in your FP
  18. Thank you Carl, but this is not my problem, both Login on the AVSIM and/or Alpha India fora work and I can Login alright, except that my AIG Manager will remain stuck on Logout and become totally frozen (unresponsive) so I have no choice but to close it with the Task Manager. Hence my question.
  19. I have been trying to install both software since this morning - following Bad-T tutorial and the PDF in the file - but have had no success so far. I am getting stuck when I reach the two fora Login, I do get the first Alpha India forum, Login correctly, have access to it, but my AIG Manager remains Logged OUT. If I try AVSIM first, same result, I am correctly logged IN on AVSIM but the AIG Manager shows that I am Logged OUT and the software does not respond anymore. So perhaps this is too early stage for me and I should wait a few weeks until everything is ironed out, but will MSFS traffic be restored as it was before? Thanks for help and clarification.
  20. Former RW pilot IFR here, having used MSFS for nine months and flown around the world several times with GA planes, I found myself in less than hospitable instrument conditions depending of the season, location and real world weather depicted by MSFS, and this more than once! Turbulences I got plenty when flying in areas sometimes flagged by sigmets (Africa, South America over the Andes, the Alps), fog and low to very low visibilities below minima I encountered many times to a point where a go-around was necessary: Kamchatka, Prince Albert CA, Calgary, Sudbury. Evidently wildfires or volcano ash clouds are not (yet?) shown. Crosswinds, well, where could one fly to experience none? On another MSFS forum, a user was bitterly complaining about violent turbulences in an area (Chili)... where FIVE sigmets were active with warnings of severe turbulences (he had no clue what a sigmet was anyway and never bothered to check weather anywhere he flew)... Poor Asobo, mission impossible!
  21. 22. I have been using the ATC for IFR clearances each time after SU6 and FBW A320. I don't understand your problem, do you mean that after saving your Simbrief FP in MSFS, you cannot load it from the saved flights? This is what I do and it works, 1/ save my flight in Simbrief, 2/ use the Simbrief exporter to save the flight in MSFS, 3/ open MSFS saved flights and load it, 4/ start the flight and retrieve the flight plan in FBW, 5/ as soon as the flight is loaded the co-pilot asks for the IFR clearance from ATC even before my plane is ready, 6/ ATC gives IFR clearance as filed.
  23. Paul, make sure you try the 748 Mod as well. It is practically on par with the 787 Mod in my view.
  24. No, please read what the developer wrote in this thread: Can we please read a thread entirely before jumping to conclusion. This is NOT a mistake.
