Is it possible to disable the 2D panels?? What happens if I edit the panels.cfg and comment out the gauges or remove the panel info att the top for the 2D panels?? Will the NGX go crazy? I only run in VC with Ezdoc. The only 2D I use sometimes is the FMC during flight, not during planning then I zoom in to it in VC. Just wonder, I have the 32-bit WinXP Prof. and need all power I can get. Why I ask is that in the Performance settings via FMC I lowered the 2D settings down to 5 and if I am not completly wrong I gained 5-8 FPS in overall. Anyway I could taxi around at Mega Heathrow with a lot smoother feeling, FPS was up around 20+ during taxi to runway. With all things running like UT2 and AS2012. Anyone tried this? Turning off the FO side looks a little wrong. So why not turn of 2D if not used Maybe first question should be: Are they running at all when not shown? Anyway I think they are loaded when loading the airplane so why not get updated aswell if you switch to it. FMC is in sync when you click on it to get the 2D version. I think I will first try setting Perormance to 0 (zero) and see what happens. If it does it's ok by me. When I lowered it the first time I was in a middle of a flight so I did not dare to set it to zero in case it "#&%&?, you know.

Hi, Hope someone can help me with a problem I seem to be having with all my aircraft in FSX. Recently purchased a new dedicated flight sim system with 3x monitors from wired2fire. Fsx was preinstalled and I later added a number of PMDG aircraft. The problem is that at no time have I been able to get any of the aircraft to display the 2d cockpit. Also the cursor constantly flickers as if there is something being processed. All I can get is three black boxes along the bottom were I presume the 2d cockpit would be. My version of FSX is up to date with SP2 and I made sure the Visual Studio 2008 runtime file is working correctly by downloading it again. The VC looks great of course but it is a bit awkward trying to get the right balance of inside/outside particularly on finals doing a visual landing. On my old single screen system I could click on the ND or PFD and it would display an enlarged version of them in the corner so that I could have my primary view outside and have the instruments for reference in the corner. Unfortunately now with the 3 screen system it displays the PFD in a very narrow compressed box in the left hand screen, any ideas how to move it at all without the trouble of opening new windows? A know there is a lot but if anyone has any ideas or advice it would be greatly appreciated. Also is there any good viewing add ons for FSX like you see some of the guys make videos with in FSX. Kind RegardsStephen Smartt

Hello, I have always wondered how you guys get around in the cockpit. Do you use any add-ons or do you still use the standard FSX controls. If you something other please wright it as a comment. Regards Manfred

It is always looking at some weird spot then I have to hit a reset eyepoint button to get my forward view backHow do I reset the return view ( maybe this is a general fsx command or joystick reset but Im not sure)How do I reset the sims basic views , Almost forgot ,,,, this only seems to happen in the 2d cockpitThoughtsThanksPeter

Hi I am running FSX on a system with 3 +1 montors using Matrox Triplehead2go on one dvi plus a single monitor on the other. If I start the sim in 3D cockpit all runs fine, but if I from there for example open a 2D overhead or if I go to 2D cockpit (F10) then the cursor switches to a blinking circle and framerates drop drastically. I have a win 7 x64 system with 2 nvidia 260 cards in SLI. The aircrafts i fly are Wilco A320 evo and the new PMDG 737 NGX. Both have the above issue. If anyone here knows about this issue I would like to hear about it :) thanks Best Regards Søren Mark
