  1. Are there any updates that can be downloaded for departures and arrivals? ENAT requests UDSA2Q but Fenix a320 only has UDSA1Q arrival. It's like it's not updated and running an old system. Any ide?
  2. I have been flying with P2A for two weeks or so. The version I have is Pilot2ATC_Update_2700_x64_Beta7L. I've found that the program assigns altitudes to the different legs on the plan and that's fine. The cruise altitude is accepted but altitudes are added after the TOD. This is also fine but as the flight plan gets closer to the approach segment it gives me some doubtful altitudes. On one of my flights ATC had me descend to 3000 ft when I was 119 nm from the IAF. Certainly that is too low for a B738. The altitudes in the flight plan were good but ATC decided to send me low. The STARs sometimes have dual altitudes, a minimum ATC assigned altitude for turbine powered and a MEA that is could be used by aircraft not landing at the main airport in the STAR. If we look at the Bradford 8 STAR for KORD we see that the distance from IKK VOR to the BDF VOR is 150 nm. There is a FL180 for the entire route which is assigned by ATC but there's an MEA of 3000 and 2300, both also assigned by ATC if relevant. Certainly you don't want to fly an airliner at 3000 feet for 150 nm, but that's what appears that P2A is doing. I was flying another STAR when ATC told me to descend to 3000 but I used this one to illustrate. How does P2A decide the altitude assignment? If I see an altitude that is too low or at the MEA during planning, is there a way to change it? Thanks in advance.
  3. I have a flight KEWR/22R DCT MERIT DCT HFD DCT PUT DCT BOS DCT BRADD DCT RAFIN NATZ NASBA DCT RATKA N521 LARLA DCT ABRUL DCT AMUGU DCT ARSUK DCT RESMI UN491 EPL UM164 LUPEN T107 GESLU GESLU1A EDDM/08R created by SIMBRIEF and imported into Pilot2ATC 2018 v.2.6.1.2_x64. I've done this several times now and it's worked well. I validate (GREEN) then press FILE and get the error Altitude Restriction Violation The Minimum Altitude at BEGEN is 5000 feet. You need to increase your cruise altitude or remove the procedure that contains this waypoint. BEGEN is part of the ILS approach to EDDM RW08R. Pilot2ATC has Alt Restr Above 5000 Ft and Pln Alt at 1487ft. However the ILS approach was done by Pilot2ATC when I selected the APPR button. The imported flight plan into FlightFactor 767 has BEGEN 170/5000A which matches NAVAGRAPH cycle 2009 charts. It looks like Pilot2ATC is calculating the Pln Alt. at BEGEN incorrectly. I tried the same plan with 8L and got the same results, only with MAGAT instead of BEGEN at 5000'. I've also found that even though I am following a STAR Pilot2ATC will often tell me I'm off course, then a couple of minutes later say Resume Navigation as well as missing TOD. Is there a way to work around this? I had to scrap using Pilot2ATC for this flight as it needed to get going. Thanks!
  4. Hi guys, I fly Phenom 300 with Navigraph extension. I do fill flight plan starting by selecting the departure and the SID. Then the arrival including a STAR before entering all WP of the route. So far everything is OK. Until the controller assigns me a different STAR. I tried to delete the existing arrival procedures but when I add a new arrival where my cursor is located on the airfield of arrival, all points are merged within the route and my route looks like a sparkling star... i could not find anywhere on the web any tutorial to change the STAR inflight (could also be needed on the ground while preparing the flight....) I am keen to be explained thanks in advance Thanks for your help Bruno P3D v4.3, W10-64
  5. Hi Guys, I recently purchased the PMDG 737NGX and I have completed a few flights in it. However, on every flight, I've not been able to land the plane like I should be able to. I've been following LNAV and VNAV throughout the entire flight. My SID and STAR was entered correctly and everything appeared to be running smoothly. I was still on VNAV and LNAV when I was moments away from turning onto final. I had NAV 1 and NAV 2 armed. I engaged VOR LOC just before I turned onto final. The plane began to turn and then successfully lined up with the runway. After it had lined up I engaged APP expecting it to capture the G/S; somehow, I missed the G/S and had to descend manually. Now, I think the reason it is doing this is because I was going to fast. At the point of capturing the G/S I am normally traveling at a steady pace of 150KIAS; this time it was 220KIAS. I had speed brakes fully extended yet it made little difference. So I think the VNAV speeds are too fast and I can't slow down in time for my landing. I've been told that I should allow VNAV to bring the plane down during the initial decent but then descend at my own choice of vertical speed and my own speed input. If this is correct, how shall I slow down during my STAR. I know it's a strange issue but I'm only 14 so I don't have the broadest of knowledge for this complex aircraft. I need recommendations quite urgently if possible. Thank you.
  6. Hi all, Quick question, I just bought the DC-6 few hours ago and so far I love it! Just a quick question regarding the GPS, is there a way the PMDG 430 can be used for flying SID/STARS ? I know this was a limitiation with the default GPS from fsx, but with some aircraft the P3D gps does fine. I'm using FSaerodata with Navigraph to enter all the Sid's star's and navdata into P3D. This is stated on their website, offcourse talking about the default 430 not the PMDG; How can be simulated SIDs and STAR procedures on the GPS units? fsAerodata implements aprox. 65,000 SIDs and STARs procedures that can be simulated using a new feature available on Prepar3D GPS units. Feature is available with the 'PROC' (Procedures) button. To enable this feature on any aircraft GPS, the user has to edit the aircraft panel configuration file, replacing the gps type from default version 'fs9gps.cab' to 'p3dgps.cab'. Can this be done on the DC6. That would be amazing, Thanks all. Michael
  7. Dear experts, I have read the Manuals and followed some tutorials via Youtube, but I can't understand until now what is really the difference and why are there two Terms for the same purpose. Thank you for a simple Explanation.
  8. Hi there i got some problems with my fbw a320nx . For example today i tried to fly from epwa (Warsaw) to eddb (Berlin) , i done everything as always and when time came for approach to set in fplan i could not enter any STAR there was no stars to choose only. I had this problems on every german Airport i tried and on some of not german ones too.
  9. Hi guys, I have installed pmdg B77W then installed Airac 1802 by Navigraph. I have done 2 different flight without any issue. But today i decided to fly to LTBS airport. I started preparing the aircraft. But when i select LTBS as destination fmc warned me that '' RWY 1 is not available'' so i looked at the arrival page of this airport and have seen that there is no rwys ,no stars and no app. procedures. So i checked '' Prepar3D v4\PMDG\SIDSTARS '' there is a file named as LTBS.txt and inside of it seemed good. What can i do to get approaches of this airport? Regards,
  10. Contrary to proper procedure, on my approach to KIAD 19C today, I clicked the APP button without putting the frequencies in the nav1 and nav2 radio and the localizer and glideslope came to life on the PFD. It showed the DME / Course and Freq for the 19C ILS. I had done this one time previously by mistake and the results were the same - a valid loc/gs Granted it was a single AP no auto-land setup, but I thought the FMC wasn't linked to any radios in the NGX. Frequncy for that runway is 111.70 and nav 1 was 110.6 and nav 2 was 113.8. From a systems standpoint (rather than procedural), can someone explain how the proper glideslope and localizer came to life upon pressing the APP button w/out the nav radios tuned? Is there a radio somewhere tuned by the FMC or Autopilot?
  11. Hi Maarten, My favourite plane to fly is the mjc Q400, which because of its unique FMC format does not take data straight from SLX. So I tend to plan my flights in SimBrief and export the data to both the Q400 and FSX. I then use SLX to make any adjustments, which are then manual programmed into the Q400 FMC. One of the main activities in SLX is to apply SID, STAR and Approach data, which, if I am correct FSX does not store in its pln files(?) Accordingly I use the flatten tool to convert all the additional info into waypoints for saving in the pln file. However I have noticed that once flattening is applied and the waypoint table updates, SLX does not highlight that a change has been made and the toolbar ribbon does not prompt for a "Save". In order to allow me to save the amended Flight Plan I have to make some sort of other change e.g. tweaking the altitude. Not a significant issue but still an nuisance. Regards, Michael
  12. Hi my name is Alex Makoviecki. I recently got the PMDG 737NGX and I really... really love it! The only problem I have with it is descending. I am about thirty miles back from the TOD (top of descent) and I set in the altitudes in the FMC that I should be at for each waypoint and VOR for the OMN.HILEY2 STAR at Miami Intl. I was using a chart that shows you the altitudes for each waypoint and VOR. I then set the altitude for descent to 5000ft which was the altitude for one of the waypoints that I would descend to and stay at for a while until descending to the glideslope intercept altitude. When I reached the top of descent the engines went to idle and the aircraft started descending but then leveled out at 37000ft (my cruising altitude was 38000ft). I noticed that the FMC had a message that said DES PATH UNACHIEVABLE, that was weird because I set the right altitudes for each waypoint and VOR for exactly what they should have been. I got the aircraft to descend a little more by copying of the speed and altitude of the first descent waypoint and pasting it again on the same waypoint. But I only got the aircraft to descend to 32000ft. I also noticed that when I am climbing above 25000ft the aircraft slows down the climb to 1000fpm, compared to 1800fpm in other payware aircraft. I would appreciate some help here! Thanks,Alex.
