Great Topic Guys. I know it's been said before, but the diverse talent here is REALLY astounding!I'm 45, and a career cop in the Dallas, Tx. area. (23 years and still pluggin' away!) I've got probably the greatest job in the world outside of flying, because I actually get PAID to ride a nice BMW motorcycle all day. I don't have to take any calls that start with "Alarm" or "My baby's daddy..." , and I don't like to work at night when the scary people are out! Seriously, I'm an accident investigator, hostage negotiator as needed, and most recently moved into the world of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. I've had a PPL for 15 years, but don't get to fly as often as I'd like. Maybe now that I have only 1 child left in the nest, I can start thinking about buying a plane! Donations accepted!Unfortunately, I'm also a Flight Sim Junkie since the Apple days, and spend too much money on my beloved "'puter" and of course, add - ons! Take care, guys! Nice to meet ya!Sarge27

Great thread!I'm 34 years young. I'm a single father of a 4 year old son. I'm an executive for the largest shipping company in the world that has the one of the largest airlines in the world. I have been sent around the world with my job. My latest assignment was in China. I started simming on a Commodore 64 back in the mid eighties. I don't have much time to sim. I do it to relax. Some reason the drone of the turbofans relax me.

Hi, I'm 49 years old. Twenty-six years as a Fleet Service Agent for US Airways.I've spent the last two years at DFW and I love it here. The previous 47 years were spent in Northeast Ohio. I have a wife and two children who kid me about "playing pilot". I've been simming since about 1988.It's really interesting to see how many different parts of the world we all come from.

I own a TOSHIBA Business Equipment Dealership. I'm in Allentown, Pa. and I'm 58 years old. Been simming since 1989, and probably sim every day. I JUST LOVE IT. I buy lots of ADDONS and enjoy the hobby so much. I really look forward to the next edition of FS, and I hope it's very, very fluid.I have 3 daughters...all grown. 2 are twins, and 1 is married with 2 children ( 2 of the best GRANDCHILDREN you could ask for).I also love playing keyboards (Korg and Yamaha) and enjoy Big Band, Jazz, and Frank Sinatra stuff. Enjoy.....great thread.

I'm 41, an epidemiologist and CFII/CFI-A. Male, unmarried (but with a lovely and charming long-term companion/girlfriend - a painter, animal trainer specialist, bartender) living in Brooklyn New York. I fly out of KISP - a beautifully-maintained and -run reliever airport (Southwest airlines departure point), situated in class C airspace.

Incredible thread...thanks Mike for getting it started. I'm 51, Family Practice Doc, now working in Taiwan with my family (wife, 3 boys) as missionaries. Been here 18 years, only simming for the past 2 years...loving it. Randy AdamsHengchun, Taiwan

I enjoy needlework and botany and poetry... :-hmmm Seriously now: I'm an 33 yr old Airfield Safety Officer at San Francisco International Airport. You can find me there closing a runway, picking up a dead bird, or ticketing someone for doing 50 in a 15 mph zone.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/114598.jpgOn the side, I fly a fair bit, am married with no kids, and have been simming since the age of 10 (Hey! Atari 2600 games count!!!). I do also recall some 747 sim on a Texas Instrument computer I was shown; the only time you saw ANY scenery was takeoffs and landings - 2 rows of dots stuttering by.Now my hobbies are needlework and botany and... :-lol :-lol

HI Mike...Great idea for a thread and it is really interesting to read what flight simmers do in real life. A very interesting group of respondents to say the least..I am a retired Locomotive Engineer after working 37 yrs for CN Rail..My age is 58 and I live in Kamloops,BC..Canada..When I am not on the computer I am riding my motorcyle searching out airports where I can sit and watch aircraft to my hearts content..Thanks to all the respondents for sharing a little...Terry Harris

I'll be 43 in a couple months. Professor of Psychology, ordained minister, and licensed marriage and family therapist. Currently living in the great state of Texas. Been simming since FS98. Have a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters.Randall

23 years old, currently about to finish a political science degree at the University of Arizona. Also a life long musician - I play lead guitar in a rock band and I am co-owner of a print music publishing company, www.progressivetranscriptions.com that I've run since high school. My guitar transcription books have been published by all three major US publishers - Hal Leonard, Cherry Lane, and Warner Bros. Publications and that acts as my primary job.
