September 7, 200916 yr I have CTDs, toothere're twi kinds of CTDs I think:1) when ending a flight or selecting an other plane (Error message is pointing to PMDG_BAe_JS4100*.dll)This could be related to FSUIPC.I'm a FSUIPC "hardcore" user, means everything is controled via FSUIPC here.I have the latest and registered version 4.532When I disable FSUIPC I don't get any more CTDs.Also I can change the plane as often as I want to.This is odd, because I need FSUIPC!!!2) CTD when ending FS (Error message is pointing to MSVCR80.dll)I have NOT the FMS ON with my test.I have NOT loaded any Flight or sth like that.I just started engines, nothing moreI have VISTA 64, German VersionMaybe some other user with the CTD can write down if they use FSUIPC, if it is registered and which version. Also they should please write down their language version of the OS.It's not the first time that ugly bugs come up due to different language versions.....thanks,guenter Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 7, 200916 yr Commercial Member Farshid-This should not be necessary... If it IS necessary for some folks- we still have a problem to resolve...EVERYONE:If you are experiencing CTDs and you have FSUIPC installed- we need to know about it... This product does not use FSUIPC, but it is possible that some conflict is being created. Before we chase down that rabbit hole I'd like to get some data on the relationship between CTDs and FSUIPC use...Let us know please.EVERYONE 2:Please take some time and think through the information you are giving us. Clearly we are looking at a CTD that occurs for SOME users in a very specific instance when leaving FSX. so when you tell us that you get a similar problem on exit- please take the time to explain what steps you took BEFORE the problem- and also take the time to exit FSX directly from the flight and tell us if the problem persists in that condition also.In other words- please do your best to help us expand and trend data. Giving us vague information won't help us to find a solution. Thanks! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com

September 7, 200916 yr Add me to the list of crashers: happens AFTER a flight, when JS41 still displayed in the UI, upon exiting FSX. Not everytime, but almost. It also happens when I load the JS41 from the UI, end the flight, then load it again. That ALWAYS makes it crash: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: MSVCR80.dll Fault Module Version: 8.0.50727.4918 Fault Module Timestamp: 49d43de9 Exception Offset: 00008aa0 Exception Code: c000000d Exception Data: 00000000 OS Version: 6.1.7100.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 8d85 Additional Information 2: 8d85c3834902ba69a951dbd8fa657768 Additional Information 3: bc6d Additional Information 4: bc6d5bafdf097f39160429f7723c8625
September 7, 200916 yr ok, I don't think it has to do with FSUIPC really.I've got crashes also with FSUIPC disabled... 99% with MSVCR80.dll, some with "PMDG_BAe...."crashes occur when: - ending fsx - try to load an other J41 variant (I have no liveries till now) - try to load an other airportI have tried different variants, but it always ends in crashes as described above... - set standard flight to FSX Standard plane with engines running; same with engine not running - first load Standard Plane, then load J41 ingame - load a Standard FSX plane after the J41 ingame and then exit the flight - don't start up engines and end flight - even if I load the tutorial flight results in crashesNow I don't have any more idea what I could change any more.Hope, this list helps a little bit to find a solutionbtw. I have reinstallled dotnet3.5 as this was a kind of "solution" for MSVCR errors somewhere in the net... no success Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 7, 200916 yr So as of now my problem of a crash on loading the aircraft is over. Just made the default Cessna as the default airrcraft / flight. All the problems are over. Engines are starting well, the only get on fire just after takeoff, but I was hasty so I must have done something wrong. September 7, 200916 yr Author This CDT problem I spent 12 hours yesterday working with one of the PMDG guys to try and fix it, I know they are working hard and doing there best and would point out to have someone sending countless emails on a Sunday up-to 1am the following day is truly amazing support and I want to state publiclyYour support and help in solving this matter is going far beyond any normal support, thank-you very much indeed. It is very much appreciatedBack to the problem :(Its simply a case when ever you exit a flight, thats it, no more changing, reloading or anything the only thing you can do is exit and reload fsx, its as simple as that. The only way to exit and not CTD is after pressing the "X" in the top right corner is to then right click on the fsx in your task-bar and click end/exit from there. David Murden. September 7, 200916 yr The only way to exit and not CTD is after pressing the "X" in the top right corner is to then right click on the fsx in your task-bar and click end/exit from there.even that causes a CTD with me. I don't use FSUIPC. When I load the Cessna before existing, all is fine. JS41 in Free Flight UI loaded = crash on exit
September 7, 200916 yr Dear All,I am sorry to say that I've given up J41 after many trials of loading the a/c without any success. It CTD everytime I tried to load the a/c. I tried to load the a/c by using the "solutions" made by the captains in this forum. However, it just doesn't work. I've no problems loading PMDG's MD11 and 747x. However, J41 just doesnt work. It just doesnt work at all.Best regards,Edward Law Edward Law

It's only when ending a flight, going back to the fsx main menu and quitting there that FSX crashes. I'll do some more testing tonight if I have the time and will try to be as precise as possible to help you solve these issues. This is my first PMDG and no regrets, great plane and support ;) Cheers, Thomas
September 7, 200916 yr Hi!I was just on descent to LPPT airport ILS runway 3 landing after a flight from LPMA and FSX crashed for no reason, sounds keep playing but image was freezed and FSX stop responding.First time I have a CTD while on the air with this airplane, but I've installed a scenery for portugal from avsim this morning, I'll try to do the flight without that scenery latter.
September 7, 200916 yr Just for PMDG records to put me on the list: I encounter the exit crashes of FSX as well. It's just as described above. Luckyly it's no showstopper because the a/c runs like a charm and I have no CTDs during flight. It's only the fatal error occuring when I shut down FSX.Unfortunately I currently have no time to test anything but I follow this thread very thoroughly. I'm very glad the issue is being worked on.Keep up your great work! Thanks and cheersChristian Cheers, Christian
September 7, 200916 yr Did a whole LNAV flight tonight with the J41 from LEPA to LFMN and everything worked perfectly, before I did this I changed my default flight with a 172, rebooted FSX checked it was still the same and no probs at all. When it came to shutting FSX down I RMB'd the task bar, selected close from there and then FSX asked if I was sure, clicked yes and hey presto!! No Error message.Just to make sure I loaded a saved j41 flight from my docs/fsx files and repeated the procedure, no probs.might help some people as a workaroundDan.Cheers Dan, worked for my case... no problems at all now :( John Ellison

Tried setting your default flight to the Cessna and disabling FSX preload? Virtually every CTD we've seen that occurs right when loading the airplane is related to this stuff.
