September 25, 200916 yr Gentlemen - let's not go too far!! Better than the Mona Lisa????????I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in looking at the Mona Lisa painting. The fact that it was painted by Leonardo Da Vinci means nothing to me. In other words, I would rather have a framed picture of the PMDG J41 cockpit on my lounge wall than I would a copy of the Mona Lisa. September 25, 200916 yr If you are going to use the word "retarded" (which by the way many people find incredibly offensive - you'll understand someday when you are a parent), please spell it correctly, otherwise, you seem, well.. you know....PMDG has never stated we will never make those airplanes....Like dueling with an unarmed man.Richard S. September 25, 200916 yr Commercial Member Someone lock this thread! this place is going downhill, I find it embarrassing that we have this kind of crap on this forum, we have a good bunch of regular helpful guy's around here but 'some' of you people need to get a life.... and Victor, dude seriously I think it's you who needs to STFU..Rob Rob Prest
September 25, 200916 yr Firstly, the VC is most definitely a "3D environment". Short of teleporting into an actual flight deck, every video-game designer will tell you that it is a 3D environment. Essentially, everything on a computer screen is "2D", with "fancy rendering of polygons". Your argument is completely moot. A VC allows a user to pan, or view through a simulated environemnt that is rendered to represent a 3D space. Saying that it is not "actually 3D" is like saying, "your actually not flying a real plane".You cant perceive 3 dimensional space in a 2D environment... i cant believe i have to explain that. :(
September 25, 200916 yr He knows exactly what you mean, Kylan. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
September 25, 200916 yr 1) The PSS 777 is not an acceptable substitute for PMDG-quality aircraft. Not even close. 2) The topic of this thread is the 777. Can we please limit the invective commentary to this topic! :(
September 25, 200916 yr "You cant perceive 3 dimensional space in a 2D environment... i cant believe i have to explain that."While FSX doesn't put you in the cockpit of a real plane, these models are indeed 3D. I use a program for modeling called "3D Studio Max". It's called 3D for a reason. I am not drawing a 2d character on a piece of paper that consist of a few curved lines. I am using many polygons to create a character and give it volume. This is like comparing a Disney animation movie such as The little Mermaid to a Pixar movie like Toy Story. The use 3d animation programs to give more depth to a film, and I can assure you that virtually everything in a Pixar movie is a 3d object. I will give you that we aren't in a cockpit but rather looking at a screen, but the model itself is indeed 3d. The saying is "As real as it gets", but if you are looking for more, take up a lesson or two at a local flight school.Chad
September 25, 200916 yr :( :( :( Couldn't resist the temptation? LOL!NickDammit you noticed hahah, *Tosses the troll some more cookies* It's oddly fun to call people out for being dorks and watch them well.....do it some more.My post was an Advisory of how you should deal with trolls
September 25, 200916 yr You cant perceive 3 dimensional space in a 2D environment... i cant believe i have to explain that. :(...and I can't believe that you actually believe the things you are saying. They are, in all intensive purposes - completely wrong. Keep em' coming though - they're comical, and entertaining. Blake Williams
September 25, 200916 yr Victor, You're not doing very well as far as getting the point across. Child-like screaming goes nowhere in life.JB, Nameless (kwikat), and Nick.Feeding trolls just means they'll try and steal your coins next time you try and cross their river.Don't feed them, or give them anything notworthy. It's really just as poor that the three of you had anything at all to actually say to him.Remember the lesson, Don't Feed the Trolls :( Ryan.I'm just really curious how long he can go on like this without blowing a gasket.Feed the trolls just enough until they throw thier hands up and walk away never to come back....JB Buzz313th

September 26, 200916 yr In my opinion, a boeing 777 is baiscly a boeing 747-400 except it has two engines and a shorter range... So a 777 wouldnt be worth it.. in my opinion Alexander Michael
September 27, 200916 yr -200LR has longer range than a 747 I believe. Also far more advanced with electronic checklists and even more automation. A very beautiful aircraft, all the variants, -200, -200ER, -200LR, -300, -300ER, -200ERF
