How Big is your FS9 Directory?

I'm curious why Chinese people would love that?
The number 8 is associated with prosperity and confidence in Chinese culture, according to the Wikipedia page for the 2008 summer Olympics in China. This was the key reason for the opening ceremonies being on August (the 8th month) 8, '08, at close to 8:08:08pm (again, according to the same Wikipedia page). My FS9 is 24.3GB.

I've been on a real aircraft and scenery download "feeding frenzy" over the past 3 months or so, flying in Russia, the Ukraine, Greece, Turkey, all over Eastern Europe and Asia so mine's at 87 gig and going strong right now. My archived downloads that I keep on a separate drive is 4 x that size.

Hello,My biggest install was virtually 85 GB As all the FS9 game was compressed with the Windows compression utility .. this was in reality more of 140 GBNever a problemRegards.bye.gifGus.

34.1 Gigs internal (mainly in the FS main directory)plus15.4 Gigs on an external drive (utilities, scneries, planes, panels, tutorials , utilities and lots of other fs related files and programmes)Wolfgang

I try to be ruthless with the active FS9 install folders, and move stuff out to the storage hanger regularly.Actually I have another FS9 install which is just on 15GB, and it's a real pleasure for a quick fly - loads up in 10 seconds and incredibly smooth, even with FRAPS running.

.

Wow! With all these variances in smooth running Flight Sim installs, it appears to me that the old addage may just be true: "Size DOESN'T matter!" What a relief!! :(
