How Big is your FS9 Directory?

Man o man, I just checked my FS9 directory and its a little over 80gigs.What are your numbers?

having just bought a new system and reinstalling fs9, mine is a measly 5 gigs.


 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Heck I feel like a beginner. I thought I was doing pretty well with 21.5 gigs til I saw that 80 gig count....

Just built a new system three weeks ago, but managed to copy over all of my files from the old machine so it sits at 82Gb on a separate Raptor drive.

17.5 GB, compressed to 8.88 GB (Chinese people would love that :(). I don't see any performance difference, so compressed it will remain... and me thinking I had used too much hard drive space....Best regards from Colombia,Luis Miguel

Main rig: self built, AMD Ryzen 5 5600X @ 4.2 GHz (summer)/4.5 GHz (winter), 2x8 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, Nvidia RTX3060 Ti 8GB, 256 GB M.2 SSD (OS+apps) + 1 TB SATA III SSD (sims) + 1 TB 7200 rpm HDD (storage), Viewsonic VX2458-MHD 1920x1080@23-144 Hz (yeah, G-Sync compatible), Windows 10 Pro. Runing P3D 5.3, P3D 4.5 and MSFS there.

Mobile rig: ASUS Zenbook UM425QA (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H APU @3.2 GHz and boost disabled, 1 TB M.2 SSD, 16 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro). Running FS9 there... on just battery! FSX-SE also installed, just in case. ASUS TUF FX504GD now for sale (thanks for your service!).

VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/travel.

31GB, of which FSglobal is 11.7G and aircraft folder is another 11.7G.

I'm curious why Chinese people would love that?
because in Chinese 8 sounds like "prosper", hence their favorite number.
