UTX + GEX is no good. I have SP3 from these guys and u swear you where there.

+1-------------Love the replies on these forums it always amazes me how brain dead some people are. At best they don't use what little brain power they have to look into something before hitting the [Fast (moron) reply] button.

I've always been a fan of this area, and those look fantastic, they have my money!This looks to be even better than the Australian series (they have added so much more) but to be honest thats what I've come to expect from them.Orbx have continually updated the Australian releases not just bug fixes, but as more technologies and methods have improved they have reworked the previous sceneries, and at no cost (other than the re download). The result is an Amazing representation of Australia ...over 14 months of work have gone into this I believe and it shows..only 3 hours to wait for my download to complete (miser band ADSL) and I'll be good to go.Thanks Maurice.

I am not really fussed about people's opinions of our products. FTX PNW will stand on its own merits and it won't appeal to everyone. I don't expect everyone to be obliged to praise what we do;...Regardless, we will be releasing a free demo in a few days so anyone who wants to see for themselves can download the demo and make up their own minds :)

Excellent plan! The screenshots posted here, and Jigsaw's natty comparison views (how do you do that??) look outstanding, but if possible I like to try before I buy..I'm amazed how some people have written it off already - if you don't like the look of it, why not just keep quiet and let others enthuse?? Hi,I am looking forward to this product! I did preorder it but I am truly disappointed with the download speeds - I have a fast connection (fiber optics, 50 MB download). I understand it is an unusually large file and traffic is huge but GetRight tells me it will take 40 hours to download this file!Anyway, will patiently wait!RegardsEdmundo

That explains a lot. I was wondering why he posted only pictures of the default terrain and no comparisons. I know realise it is because I have animations turned off in my browser so I don't see them change!

I use Free Download Manager: I started with a speed of 30 KB/s that slowly went up to and stayed at 150. But with FDM you can add so called sections, which divides the download into smaller parts. I added the maximum amount if sections and within 10 seconds my speed went up to 800 KB/s. So now the download takes about an hour or so instead of 5. Using a good download manager helps!
