To me it looks like GEX/UTX

I would like to encourage you to do a flight from Scar Creek to Tsuniah Lake Lodge with GEX/UTX and then watch this video that I've made, and then please honestly tell me which of them looks better. Of course you are entitled to your opinion and you don't have to like the PNW scenery, I just have the feeling that you (and others) are basing your opinion on a lack of information. Mike-I have been on the road for 3 weeks and only able to check here and there on my iphone, and one of our other mods has been in the hospital leaving us short staffed.I would ask you and all members-when insulting or innapropriate behavior is done-please use the report button to let us know. I am sure David missed the post you refer to- insults to other members will not be tolerated. Discusions-both critical and praiseworthy will.As a volunteer org we can't be all places at all times-using the alert is the best way to give us a heads up and remove or give appropriate warning to inappropriate posts. I have had no alerts for quite a while. We simply can not monitor all threads all the time. Please-use the report feature of this forum. We need to all work together to make this the place it is.Thanks!

I love trees and when I started my first flight in PNW I was blown away. It looked a lot better than the preview screenshots I had seen (most of them didn't have the final trees yet). Trees look fuller, more 3D and not as repetitive. The placement of trees is absolutely great too imho. Very varied. Below are some shots from my first flight: look at those trees!Those planes on the last shot are stationary planes: I do not fly with AI so I really love it that all airfields got a treatment to make them look nicer and more alive! (There are about 450 airfields, so that alone makes PNW worth the money! ;) ). All in all I am very impressed. I have to say I expected scenery that was very similar to FTX Australia, but it's totally different and a lot better. I also have to say that I doubt if I will fly down under again... PNW really is a big step forward. You got to see it on motion indeed to really appreciate it. (These shots were made in spring, my favorite season for PNW: the other seasons make it all look totally different!) I've never seen such full, detailed and varied scenery before and certainly not covering so much land!<REMOVED BY MOD>ALL IMAGES WELL OVER 200K LIMIT

I'm looking forward to PNW, but I have some concerns about dowloading it over the next few days. Might wait until the middle of the week when things settle down.Seems ORBX just locked their first thread over the download issue. Bummer. I hope things don't get to negative over there. They seem like really good guys and this must be hitting them hard.Thank God for the big fat (free!) GEX 1.09 update coming out this afternoon. I'll be flying the Yukon as soon as that gets installed. That will keep me going for a while. :(

Hi,Thanks for the reply, I own all the products you mentioned. Does it pay to purchase Orbx if the products listed are already installed (UTX/GEX/FSGenesis) into FSX?. Can we see some screen shots of Orbx side-by-side or overlayed against UTX/GEX/FSGenesis?. I do not live in the area and do not see a big difference in he screen shots I have seen.

Not sure about FSGenesis BUT, if this program provides its own textures as they state and is sitting at a higher priority than FSGenesis, then it is bound to replace FSGenesis for the area covered.Best regards,Jim

It looks like this in all area's. :( About the autogen... yes, well, of course it helps having it on Extremely dense... I tailored FSX and my entire computer so that I can fly above trees with Extremely densen autogen, because I am a low and slow flying tree-nut. :( Performance above huge cities isn't as good, but I hardly visit huge cities. You know what, I will slew to this same location (or near it) and make a few shots with a few different autogen settings. I think that's a fair thing to do, because not everyone can fly with Extremely dense autogen (although you can come long way if you make comprises with some other options, like AI). Stay tuned.

Okay, here are the shots with the various autogen settings. Do not forget they are taken at very low altitude: when flying at a normal height things will look better quickly. :( It's quite logical that Extremely dense looks best... but Very dense is awesome too and even Dense is still great.
