zfehr, what (if anything) have you observed about the following....downtown PDX skyline including the KOIN tower...Portland and Vanco bridges and bridge traffic...AI airplanes landing incorrectly in this scenery...I'm quoting from a review I've read.
Hey Deke,I am not going to be much help to you at this point. The flying I have done has been in the areas that interested me and where I have been flying into for real. I haven't flown into downtown Portland area yet nor do I in real life, I have vehicular traffic off to help with frame rates so don't know about the bridge traffic. I keep the AI traffic at a lower level so I will notice traffic while flying but so far haven't noticed any marked errors with AI traffic. I am using MyTraffic but don't think that would make any differences at this point.

Thanks Zane, no worries. I agree that the valley looks very good with this scenery. I've participated in most of the fly-in breakfasts along the Sandy river while growing up. Not sure it was at McKinnon while I was going but that was long ago.

Wow,My apologies to everyone. It seems I did a poor job in my last OP "comparing" GEX/UTX/FSGenesis to FTX. My point wasn't to break one product down in favor of another. If anyone took that message away from it, I truly apologize. My point as stated in the last lines of my message was that I think all of these products are incredible and I use them all. I fly with FTX in PNW because I think they do the best job rendering and capturing the essence of that area including the small airfields. I fly with GEX/UTX/FSGenesis/SceneryTech for the rest of North America because they capture the feel and look of the whole continent. In simpler words, I agree with JV's and Nick's assessment of the products' purposes. Nick, as for the pics, I don't have XClass. I only have SceneryTech and FSGenesis landclass and the SceneryTech landclass is set appropriately between the UTX landclass layers as shown in the pic. I'm in the process of downloading the 1.09 update, but I still think the 1.08 textures are amazing and look great in the pic I posted. I'm almost scared to see what the 1.09 update will do. And Nick, one last thing ... aren't you supposed to be on a well earned vacation? :)Again, my apologies if I was not clear in my last post. My opinion is that GEX, UTX, FSGenesis mesh, and FTX are all worth purchasing. Joshua

Looks great to me. Anyone have a Fall shot or two?
Hello Ron, in the Orbx 'Preview Screenshots and Videos' forum look for the topic 'Darrington - short final'. I made many shots with different seasons covering the upcoming 1S2 airfield and surroundings.

Cheers

Just flew the Carenado C182RG from KPDX-KSEA by way of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier as my first flight. This is truly an incredible piece of work - these are bar none the best looking mountains I've ever seen in FS. The autogen and level of detail in the cities is just crazy too.

PNW---Whew! Wow!Buy it.Post Edit Comment: I have just come to the ultimate conclusion that I was right all along about screenshots in general. They SUCK! Let me repeat that. They SUCK in conveying what one sees on one's own monitor for any given piece of add-on scenery software. If you just go on intelligence and faith on what the guys and gals from 'Down Under' have already produced...then you will pleased, stunned, happy, elated, and too busy flying through North America's PNW to post too many screenshots, or other comments...for the sheer pleasure of what they have produced. Before somebody asks me to type what I really think...., LOL....in all seriousness, the product ROCKS! The screenshots didn't push me to purchase. Faith in what I had already seen in the Tasmania Demo did...and that faith was proved valid.....Back to flying...and being simply amazed. I disabled Victoria Plus for now...and will look for that PNW/Victoria Plus patch with anticipation.P.S. Nick, great job you and your team for GEX North America 1.09 and GEXEurope for 1.2 What a night for upgrades and purchases!Mitch

Talking about mountains... I just posted some pics from the Olympic Mountains - hope it's o.k. when i link thosehttp://orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=19283.0
