April 15, 201016 yr http://www.commerciallevel.com/news.php?ac...toon&id=114Not really "new" news, but news nonetheless. For the FS9 crowd it's a pity that it's FSX only, which means I won't buy this plane anytime soon. I'll simply stay with the Leonardo Maddog. However, the CLS one looks great! Glad to see there's more on the horizon than Boeing.EDIT: And concerning the Leonardo Maddog, I just saw this: http://www.flythemaddog.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8271It's a service pack! I thought they were dead, but they are most certainly not. The SP includes a number of fixes and updates, plus a full analog panel. I'm not sure whether the analog panel will include a VC, it doesn't say. April 15, 201016 yr Hi guys I wont be buying it ether, cant make the jump to fsx only yet! my system is totally garbage to fly fsx right now I would have bought the Leonardo Maddog since its for both but I'm not into heavy systems. I do own the coolsky for fs9 which is good and great package but its the old style analog maddog! I dont see people going for the cls version if they already own the coolsky version but then again if they want lite systems it makes sense. April 15, 201016 yr Pretty cool that a thread in the *FSX* forum has nothing but complaining FS9 users in it... :(Yep it's the FS9ers, the "vocal minority". :( No amount of whining about how poor they are :( or how much they have invested in FS9 B) is ever going to make any developer switch back to FS9. FS9 is dead so please cant the FS9ers just get over it and save their pennies and upgrade to FSX like the rest of us! Alternatively they could purchase the AirSimmer A320 for FS9 B) Matthew S

April 15, 201016 yr Author Pretty cool that a thread in the *FSX* forum has nothing but complaining FS9 users in it... :( Exactly my thoughts. April 16, 201016 yr Exactly my thoughts.Agree with you, Ryan and cmpbellsjc although it is no different than FSX users going into the FS9 forums to voice their opinions (just playing devils advocate) :( But as for MatthewS... completely unnecessary comments demeaning other forum users that just highlight everything that is wrong with these forums when you can't state your opinion without putting someone else down in the process. Not going to beat a dead horse and argue, not worth it but I do think the comments were completely unnecessary, inflammatory, rude and insulting...Go ahead, flame on...-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
April 16, 201016 yr I am definitely going to pass on this one, I am perfectly happy with the maddog2008. Granted it has not the best visual model or best VC, but IMO this product is second to none, weather radar, terrain radar, multi-crew, failures, complete systems modeled and the list goes on... John

Not going to beat a dead horse and argue, not worth it but I do think the comments were completely unnecessary, inflammatory, rude and insulting...Sorry if they are offended and everything I say is IMHO of course. PMDG, Aerosoft, CLS, CaptainSim, LevelD and many others are only focusing on FSX. Those developers couldn't care less that the very vocal but very small minority of FS9 users wont buy their FSX products because they would lose money developing for FS9. Its why they only focus on FSX and its been publicly stated several times by PMDG and Aerosoft.Additionally I will never buy any product that is dumbed down to work with both FS9 and FSX. If its not for FSX ONLY then I wont buy it!Also, how many FS9ers have jumped ship over to FSX in the last 6 to 12 months? This is why Airsimmers A320 has not sold as expected. Any developer spending effort on FS9 products is wasting his time. The market is just not there. However this will not stop the FS9ers telling us how they cannot afford to upgrade to FSX and how developers should perform acts of charity and release products for FS9 that will lose the developer money. Seems to me its the FS9ers that are insulting to developers expecting them to work for nothing! Matthew S

I don't disagree that the money is not in FS9 anymore despite my personal love for it; I am saying you calling FS9 users whiners and poor people who can't afford FSX is just uncalled for. Those types of opinions really just aren't necessary to have any type of mature conversation. That is my honest opinion. And BTW, I guess that means you would never buy or fly the PMDG MD-11 one of the best planes ever IMHO because it was released for FS9 as well or the PMDG 747??? Or the ERJ V2 or the QW 757? Now your arguments are getting more ludicrous than your insults...-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Or the ERJ V2 or the QW 757? Now your arguments are getting more ludicrous than your insults...Obviously I'm talking about dumbed down combined models that work with both FSX and FS9 (same poly count), not separate FSX only (high poly count) and FS9 only versions of the same aircraft.edit: And yes I do own the FSX versions of the MD11X and 747-400X/800X. April 16, 201016 yr Also, how many FS9ers have jumped ship over to FSX in the last 6 to 12 months? This is why Airsimmers A320 has not sold as expected.I disagree. I think problems with the Airsimmer product itself are mostly to blame. It doesn't work properly...Ian
April 16, 201016 yr I disagree. I think problems with the Airsimmer product itself are mostly to blame. It doesn't work properly...IanI agree Ian, I think if they would have actually delivered on what they said it would have sold very well... I don't think you can use their sales as a barometer of the FS9 environment as they completely dropped the ball and pi**ed a lot of people off in the process... AS is a joke at this point IMHO and it is strictly because of their own actions. And again Matthew, since when does a Poly count determine if a product has been "dumbed down?" It might mean it is not as visually stunning but it certainly does not mean it has been "dumbed down" In fact even the folks at HiFi admitted their is no difference in the simulation of airmasses and turbulence between FS9 and FSX, http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtop...391&hl=give it is identical between the two sims.... So again, where is the logic behind your "dumbed down" comment? Are you going to tell me the original LVL-D, one of the most complete simulations ever was "dumbed down" because it was originally released for FS9? Or is the PMDG MD-11 and 744 "dumbed down" in FS9 or do they have the exact same functionality as FSX? I am sorry, I really don't follow your logic that a poly count is the determining factor of a "dumb product".No offense Matthew, but you haven't made a single palatable statement yet, I understand where you are coming from but your logic and reasoning is just way off and I stand by my original statement that your earlier comments were rude, demeaning, insulting and unnecessary.... Again, I get it, not arguing FS9 is where the $$$ is at all, I agree with what you are trying to say, just not how you went about saying it.Had it been me I would man up and apologize for making demeaning comments about other users but hey, that is just me...
