KSFO for FSX...

Featured Replies

I agree but could live without SMO, but would love to see KSAN, KPHX and for me since I used to fly out of it a lot years ago, KONT.The KSFO project looks nice. From the shots they almost look a little like FlyTampa texture style.
Ah yes forgot about ONT. Huge UPS hub. Also PANC would be nice.

I think Aerosoft or someone they publish is doing PANC as an extension of one of their other airports packages they recently released.

Hey folks. Firstly two things...We will definitely not go under like other early studios, trust me. This project will be finished and delivered before the end of the year, most likely October. Also, the screenshots posted are 100% unedited except for resizing in Photoshop, it WILL look that nice when completed. We're implementing baked in shadows into the textures giving it a nicely rendered look. For development, our machines use the enbseries bloom modification, however we're testing the scenery without it to ensure that it looks just as good. In other words, you will not be disappointed, so check our news section often!Mir
If the product improves performance around the Bay Area (with LOD 6.5), I'll buy it.jja

Speaking of cargo hubs.. I noticed in many sceneries that no attention is paid to the cargo areas. I'm a cargo fan myself, so for SFO you can expect a nicely rendered Cargo area for you cargo fliers, especially FEDEX.

That's nice...assuming that Fedex is nesting on the other side of the Bay (correct me if I'm wrong) :(

Thats correct, a bigger hub is indeed across the bay at KOAK, however there is still a FEDEX and other cargo areas at SFO, with regular carriers flying in and out.

They actually have an MD-11F flying from OAK to SFO then onto ANC and Asia after. Also a lot of Asian cargo companies stop there, China Airlines, Asiana, Nippon Cargo, etc.

Great news! thank you so much! Also a detailed afcad with ai parking codes would be nice too, I don't know a lot about where each cargo company usually parks in most airports

I am prsently trying the "demo". So far very impressive, but still need more time to check out in more detail. (about 5 minutes to fly) At least they do give you a demo to try out first. The frames are good on a I7-860, 2.8mhz with very dense scenery.

As the 'Proud Supporter' line in my signature suggests, FBStudios is worth every penny. They have earned this prestigeous honor (LOL) with their first commecial scenery KSFO and I very much look forward to the upcoming release of Phoenix Intl (KPHX) in the near future. Mir has been a top-notch support agent as well. Please join me in supporting his efforts where possible as talented scenery developers are hard to come by in the FS community.Happy Holidays, Mir!

I tried the demo and it was pretty brutal on fps. I'm running an i5 2500k 3.3gHz, GTX 460, 4G 1600. I can run FSDT airports pretty well.

If one ignores the lack of undercarriage, it's actually quite a nice landing.
