October 31, 201411 yr Open the project, make it open source and ask for donations!Everyone benefits from it and everyone can use the project to create other planes!I'm sure many developers in this community would be happy to use some time for it. Fábio Magnoni
December 9, 201411 yr Well, all I can say is that I love the Level D 767 and would certainly purchase the 757 if Level D made it...but I am an old geezer like mid 70s and I decided on the QW 757 which is quite fine.. And yes to all the others who might reply....YES I have the capt sim...757 as well....but personally ,,,I like the QW 757 better...however, again....if Level D makes the 757 I would be a customer for sure but to me ....doesn't look like it anytime soon....let me know if I can buy it...LOL...Travis 727
December 9, 201411 yr I think its time for this thread to be put to rest... like their 757 :-) Brent Lewis

December 10, 201411 yr Oh I wouldn't be so sure of that Why are you saying that when this has taken so long John? Dave Taylor
December 10, 201411 yr Call it a hunch. I'm confident this project will see the light of day.. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
December 10, 201411 yr Call it a hunch. I'm confident this project will see the light of day.. Even if it does, would you really be interested in procuring software that began development 8 years ago? To add some perspective, PMDG 747 V1 is 6.5 years old and most consider that "dated." I suspect LevelD reached a similar conclusion and no longer wish to invest their time developing a product with a limited market. Matt King
December 10, 201411 yr The code remains the same. It's only the visual elements that would need updating. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
December 10, 201411 yr I think there's a big difference between what was considered a complex simulation 8 years ago and what is today. PMDG, A2A, some Aerosoft titles and many others made a big step forward in complex simulation over the last few years. 8 years old code can of course still work but wouldn't be considered on the same level as today's products in my opinion. December 10, 201411 yr The code remains the same. It's only the visual elements that would need updating. That's simply not true. It's evident that you have no experience in software development. Trust me, I look at some applications I authored 8 years ago and wonder what the heck I was thinking. Your tactics are constantly evolving as you become more adept at your skill. Also, the language itself becomes more powerful with each iteration, which allows the programmer to accomplish more. What about the operating system? 8 years ago it was Vista/XP...you have to your product will work on modern platforms. Will it work, maybe, but it certainly won't be as efficient or capable as software created within the past couple of years. Moreover, if you put yourself in LevelDs shoes, would you continue investing your time developing an 8 year old product marketed for a dying platform? After all, how many people will switch to Xplane ,P3D, or the impending ' 15 Dovetail release? I know the developers persist that it's still being worked on (actually it's the forum moderator via the developers) but logic suggest otherwise. These things tend to happen in software development, which is why Vaporware is such a commonly understood phrase. Sometime life just gets in the way of your passions... Simply put, it isn't as simple as you suggest...far from it.... Matt King
