757, soon?

This plane would have to be ridiculously modeled for LDS to not even acknowledge that they're still working on it.

DShutt, forget screenshots, and forget previews.  How about a "we're still working on it"?

    News on the 757...

  • Unlike other development teams, Level-D Simulations is a seriously PART-TIME concern. Wade, Laurent and Pedro (the principal developers) have growing families and full-time jobs outside of the FS worl

  • LOL -"could have been cancelled" from the guy with the CS banner...The 757 is coming. Unlike cynical and opportunist developers who rush to market with half-finished, half-modelled products (hoping to

Last I heard, Level-D were working very hard to iron out the remaining issues with the extensive Vaporware effects that are modeled in incredible detail.

Actually though, I'm convinced J_e_s_u_s  will appear before the LD 757 ever does - and I'm JEWISH!!!

Lol

Don't quote me on this but many years ago, RSR of PMDG said out of respect for LD they will not compete. Meaning no PMDG 767/757. I have no idea if that agreement translates to P3D or XP. Very much doubt that as slow as they are.

I respect that LD is a group of people that loving craft their aircraft. I miss those days when everyday it seemed someone had a new aircraft to download. But LD 767X was never much more than a FS9 port. It is hard for me to fly after some of the newer addons I have bought in the past two years.

At least an "Its dead or alive" update would be nice sometime. Either way though we will probably have to wait just as long.

It's a shame they're holding back on PMDG producing a 767/757. I mean, they're not moving forward and the 767 is older than my grandma.

Relax they're a part time company. They work approximately 1.5 days a year.

Think about this, if they have "nothing to show us", or "no news at the moment", after all these years post-announcement, imagine how FAR from finished the project is.

Usually by now Daryl would've said "we're still working" or something. Maybe he got tired of having to say that a couple of times a year.

I agree, if they still dont want to show us anything where are they up too. Unless one day it'll just be released

having to say that a couple of times a year.

Because that requires wayy too much energy.

I guess yah

I gave up on the 757 idea a while ago. As DS said, the dev team are very busy people and their families come first. Now with the 777 here and other aircraft being developed, I feel that there is not much need for a LDS 757. They made an AMAZING product with the 767 but I think that that's all they will be doing. After all, it has been nearly a decade since the 757 project was announced.

A big thanks to DS and his amazing team for their continued support for the 767 over the years!

I would echo the same sentiment B77X.  I have followed Level D just under 10 years now and for what was an amazing simulation of the beloved 767 it has now become somewhat aged.  I remember learning how to fly it back in 2005 and I recall how stunning it was to me in FS2004.

Then FSX came along and I was introduced to the 767's VC, wow!  It was my favorite aircraft to fly, and that I did, over and over again.  The 767 is showing its age and I am afraid that the 757 may not be as refined in looks as we would like.

It would be wonderful if the Level D team could join with PMDG as there is mutual respect between the 2 groups and then we could all enjoy a newly developed 767 and an awesome 757.  One could only hope this would happen.
