December 20, 201312 yr I'll never give up hope for this release. Based on the numerous addons I've bought and regretted buying, we need developers like this to stay around. Very few have matched the quality of the 767, and from a systems perspective, it's still well above most modern addons. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
December 20, 201312 yr A certain someone on avsim, linked with LDS, has an avatar of the overhead panel from what I suspect is the 757. It's not from the old 767 because it's definitely in 3D. So, I haven't given up.
December 20, 201312 yr You know, this thread is over 3 years old now, and we're no closer to a release, or an updated status for that matter, then we were then. I think it's time to put this thread out of it's misery, and lock it, as same things just keep getting said over and over again! AVSIM has locked similar stale threads in the past. If new information should by some miracle surface, it can be put in a new thread! Just my opinion to the current state. No no no no no no! Don't let the fun police have theiir way with this piece of living and breathing history. This thread has the potential to turn into the greatest fsx thread ever .... one way or the other. December 21, 201312 yr Ah yes, what was his name... something with an A. Can't remember. I think he made a 767 VC texture mod. Andre. He's dropped a lot of hints about the 757. You gotta read carefully....
December 21, 201312 yr Yes, Plenty of hints scattered around the forums, sounds promising after all this time. Just wish he could show/tell us more about the development of the aircraft. Although it looked 2013 would be the time, I don't think we will see it. Maybe 2014 perhaps or maybe not. Peter Graves Kalgoorlie, WA
January 16, 201412 yr Commercial Member How long are we waiting now almost 5 years? Maybe PMDG will beat them to it. I've given up hope. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
January 16, 201412 yr Hi, Yeah, the only way we will see a decent 757 is if PMDG / iFly begins to develop one. If they start today, I'm sure it would be released before the LDS version. IMO... LDS has actually "HURT" the flight sim community with it's 757 vaporware... If LDS never announced their 757 project, I'm sure we'd have an outstanding 757 developed by one of the other top notch developers. Why?... Because the LDS 767 was an outstanding bird at the time of delivery and still is today, minus the outdated graphics. So, I'm convinced other developers (at the time) did not want to compete with them. If they only knew their 757 was nothing but vaporware. and no I DO NOT consider C/S a viable option for a 757!!!. Why?... Well, any company that would make promises to their customers in regards to fixes to their original 707 and then leave them with nothing but empty promises is a company I will not do business with!!!. C/S aircraft sure look pretty, but there is no meat and potatoes under the hood. After five years, I think the cynics as refereed to by LDS are proven right... January 16, 201412 yr Hi, Does NDA stand for Non Development Agreement?. Unfortunally, I'm under a NDA, so ... January 16, 201412 yr What will happen is they will release it out of nowhere, with no foreplay or lubrication. Just release the thing all of the sudden. David Zambrano, CFII, CPL, IGI I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
January 16, 201412 yr As much as I loved the LDS 767, this thead has become as funny as the "Patch" thread by Ferd. Too bad. David Warner
January 16, 201412 yr I personally don't believe its on its way.I have been watching the forum for years......and believe its about just that. Website hits perhaps??I wish I could be more positive, but at the end of the day, Leve-D customers aren't treated very respectfully...at all!!I have put over £70 their way over the years, how many others have done the same? Quite a few I should think! Is it true that Michaleangelo designed and suprervised the project more than actually doing much painting himself. I always had this image of one guy up there all by himself. But he had a whole team
