February 25, 201412 yr I think the CS 757 is as good as their new Tristar I think it could very well match whatever LDS could have offered... CS has a lot of potential if they keep improving in areas they previously didn't do too well. To me the major plus with CS 767 is the fact it doesn't cause my FSX to crash on every second startup like the Level D 767 does whenever it's installed on this system. Still no idea what causes that as Flight 1 support couldn't help me. Your lds 767 is only crashing because you have the quickstart tooltips enabled when selecting the plane, it makes fsx ctd. Lds 767 is fine. Would that make FSX crash only when the plane is selected or on startup? When I had LDS 767 installed it crashed just after starting FSX, whenever I got to actually loading the aircraft & flying it everything worked fine.
February 25, 201412 yr LDS 767 is ok, just check and reinstall FSUIPC if installer has overwrited it, ensure that FSUIPC is allways first entry in DLL.XML, and Level D 767 just below, second entry Zeljko Budovic

I have to agree, while the CS757/767 initially got off to a bad start, the latest updates have really improved them. Still no where near PMDG or LDS (For systems) quality but not as bad as many here try to make it out to be. For example the infamous TOD bug, that keeps getting thrown around. Well that's not a bug, it's by design. People forget that CS models their aircraft by their earliest variant, so while today a TOD would be automatically calculated for you, back when the 767/757 was introduced back in 1982/83 respectively it was a little more manual. Remember the 757/767 was the first airliner to use FMC technology and it was in it's infancy at the time. To get a TOD you had to define a End of Descent point first. This was done either by assigning a runway transition if in the NAV DB, or setting a FAF altitude on the last waypoint. This is just how CS modeled it. It is also the way it's modeled on X-Plane's Flight Factor 757, which is also based on the original variant. It is also why CS and FF uses the standard ADI and not the newer speed tape PFD style gauge, and why the old Egg timer is on the overhead. The thing I'd like to see from CS is one better lighting system, and to properly flare in autoland. That is one thing CS never got right in any of it's products. March 28, 201412 yr LOL -"could have been cancelled" from the guy with the CS banner...The 757 is coming. Unlike cynical and opportunist developers who rush to market with half-finished, half-modelled products (hoping to capitalize on the dearth of 757's in the market), Level-D takes it time to capture the full breadth of the aircraft. Yes, quality takes time. Wow time sure does fly, lds care to make a comment.

March 31, 201412 yr When was the project first announced? 2005? 2006? The month of February, on the cosmic calendar . David Zambrano, CFII, CPL, IGI I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
April 10, 201412 yr Is DShutt even around to defend them anymore? I would love to hear from him again.... Ivo Dimitrov
April 10, 201412 yr Commercial Member I'm surprised they have a FB page. Nothing on it of course related to the 57. Of course posting is disabled. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
April 10, 201412 yr Commercial Member Generally it is good news for us - 757 gate remain open for PMDG :Praying: Yep, I would actually prefer that one now. No way I would go with CS. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
