December 14, 201411 yr Isn't that andre folkers vc mod? That's been around for ages too.. Rob "Sponge" SzymanskaOwner of: PMDG 737/747/777/MD11/J41. LD 767. Aerosoft Airbus X Extended. Majestic Dash 8 Q400. And many more. Vatsim Hours: 1000+
December 14, 201411 yr Isn't that andre folkers vc mod? That's been around for ages too.. Certainly not an LDS update. It says it's by Massimo Grazzi. Maybe a different hires texture set? Anyway it can't make the VC fully 3D, fully operable, or improve the graphics of the EFIS and EICAS displays so it's just an internal repaint.
March 3, 201511 yr Any chance of a P3D version? I'll show myself out. Lol - there's almost no chance of a FSX version, it's been well over 5 years. Ian R Tyldesley
March 3, 201511 yr [...] When the 757 project was announced in 2005, [...] Wow, just spotted this quotation from Darryl, on page 1 of this thread. It is now 10 years since Level D announced the 757 development.......
March 4, 201511 yr I've given up on Level-D actually releasing a high-end 757. I do have some hope they've transferred the project to another party such as PMDG Regards, Frank van der Werff
March 4, 201511 yr Commercial Member I've had in-person conversations stemming back to 2007 that it was "just about ready for beta testing" and they were "looking for folks with extensive 757 experience to help." I, too, have moved on (unfortunately). Kyle Weber (Private Pilot, ASEL; Flight Test Engineer)Check out my repaints and downloads, all right here on AVSIM
March 11, 201511 yr Safe to write this off as vapor ware now. Safe to write this off as vapor ware now. This has been going on for years, and I mean years, for those still hoping and waiting, it happens when it happens, and at this point the 757 in reality is being phased out to a great extent. I dare say that the market in FSX and/or P3D for the 757 will reflect the real world market. B)
March 11, 201511 yr Well, if they can sell a copy to every 757-moaner on the airliners.net forum, the should make a pretty penny. That's, if it ever comes out.... Name available upon request
March 12, 201511 yr I believe we have all 'moved on' now. It just took too long. I doubt they will sell any, that's if it's not dust. The name 'Airsimmer' comes to mind......................... Dave Taylor
March 12, 201511 yr The name 'Airsimmer' comes to mind......................... LevelD didn't miss sell an unfinished product though (yes, I am still bitter about that)! ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
March 12, 201511 yr The original B-767 Pilot in Command by Wilco was released in 2000 for FS2000. At the time it was w/out question the most advanced acrft available, and was the first acrft with a most advanced FMC for flight simming . I learned how to use the FMC w/ this acrft and it really is still competitive w/ what is available today. When FS2004 came out Level D released the arcft w/ updates to fit the tech. for FS9/Century of Flight. I do not remember what updates were added to improve the acrft, I am sure out side lighting was one, LDG lights etc. So this acrft has a long history, it is possible that Level D just found it to time consuming along w/ other issues w/in the company to try to produce a new acrft and be able to support the project. When the 767 came along it was way ahead of it's time but now it has become a relic of past technology, it is possible that the 757 in progress just got behind the times and was given up on. Just a thought, but in any case, I think one should just leave this project alone until word comes from the project engineers if ever. Thanks Wilco and Level-D for the 767, it was my favorite plane in FS2000/02 and I only came to FS9 when I found out about it's re-release for that platform by Level D. For that acrft to still have legs is a testament to it's quality and technology. If I have made any errors in the timeline plz correct me, it was along time ago, and old men do have memory issues lol
