March 13, 201511 yr DShutt, on 16 Jul 2010 - 6:42 PM, said: LOL -"could have been cancelled" from the guy with the CS banner...The 757 is coming. Unlike cynical and opportunist developers who rush to market with half-finished, half-modelled products (hoping to capitalize on the dearth of 757's in the market), Level-D takes it time to capture the full breadth of the aircraft. Yes, quality takes time. Hey fellow simmers, this was the official statement on the release of the Level D 757 five years ago, and it still stands true today, in March of 2015. "Level D takes it('s) time to capture the full breadth of the aircraft" was the iconic statement of unwavering truth back in 2010, and what was the truth in 2010, is the truth in 2015 (maybe more so). Our limited 32bit 2GB VAS imaginations can not capture the breadth, depth and grand awesomeness of 757 aircraft simulation minute detail that is being assembled in the dark catacombs of the Level D laBORatories. I say to PMDG...bow your heads in the contrite spirit of unworthy humbleness to the "Mother of Aircraft Simulations"...The (future) Level D 757!! March 23, 201511 yr Would love to see it from Level-D the 757 I don't have the Level D 767 but from what I've heard, they are really good with the systems. But my guess is that they have moved on, and sadly so must we... I hope I'm wrong, but it's not really pointing in any directions of a release date or news... :(
March 23, 201511 yr Good thing nobody held their breath waiting for it. With P3D they will now need another 5 years of development.
March 23, 201511 yr In about a month they'll release their 757 which will make the NGX look like the Abacus 787 and we'll all feel very silly :Big Grin:
March 23, 201511 yr When is the last official statement from LevelD? 2010? Are they still continuing on about how they are making it behind the scenes or have they simply quit replying? Ivo Dimitrov
March 23, 201511 yr Guys, check the official LDS forum in the general discussion forum. I asked in a post called "Is it still coming?" a week ago and apparently it still is. I don't expect anybody to care at this point and I'm not holding my breath for anytime soon either, but if the dev says it's coming, then it is. And in a post called "The Level-D team" (posted 2 days ago, also in the general discussion) Daryl said that they have no plans to support P3D, so in case you're still waiting for it don't expect it to be for any platform other than FSX (I don't know about SE. If it works with SE then I'll consider getting SE for the higher FPS). Like I said, I'm not really hopeful for anytime soon and I don't really think about this often. Ara Mahs, Private Pilot
March 23, 201511 yr Daryl said that they have no plans to support P3D So far, it doesn't look like they have any plans to support FSX either (just kidding Daryl) Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)

March 23, 201511 yr Honestly i do not understand why PMDG is so unwilling to step into 757 or 767 project. 767 is so old that it's business time is over, 757 is not going to be done - clear as the sky. PMDG have good relations with Boeing, so any of those two will be natural choice in PMDG Boeing family. Artur
March 23, 201511 yr If only there was a way to decipher the LDS code for: "We are working on it" "We have personal lives." "The 757 is coming." "If that doesn't please, then have at PMDG to create a 757..." What does this all mean? Too bad the great Alan Turing wasn't around to help us in our days of need. Oy veh. \Robert Hamlich/
March 23, 201511 yr I think it's a bit unfair toward the community as well, as I'm sure many of us have been loyal supporters since FS9 days. PS: This is my 752nd post. Ironic much?
March 23, 201511 yr They have been saying this for 10 years lol! True, but there's not point in lying from a dev's POV. I'm just relaying current, if unchanged, news from the dev. Ara Mahs, Private Pilot
March 24, 201511 yr I don't think there is many products in this world the production of which lasts for 10 years. That's an accomplishment by itself There probably won't be any LVD 757 and if it will be there is a good chance it's going to be outdated. People should just forget about this one and move on.
