August 14, 201015 yr Mike T,I too would be eternally grateful if you could share your finding on how to make KSAN work with my FSX. It was one of my favorite FS9 airports. It's too bad that someone outside of FLYTAMPA was able to make it work instead of the developer. I really love my FlyTampa airports, I just wish that they concentrate on upgrading their FS9 airports, like KTPA and KMIA, instead of working on new airports. I, and many others, will be happy to pay for upgrades. MSFS

August 14, 201015 yr I guess I am not that particular.I grew up in San Diego-have flown out of the airport many, many ,many times.I had the Fly Tampa San Diego scenery for fs9-it was great.I find the default fsx close enough.Am I missing something? Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
August 14, 201015 yr Of course I would like the higher quality airport buildings but I am mostly interested in having all of the scenery along the approach from Balboa Park to the parking structure at the end of the runway. You are not rude.Stick to your guns: <edit by mod>
... and YOU are being rude by launching a personal attack on Mike, who has contributed YEARS into this forum and hobby. This little spat was over. August 14, 201015 yr Yeah..I want the Fly Tampa San Diego for FSX. The Runway textures was the best part, I hate to use the default texture for KSAN.San Diego also needs the Aerosoft City treatment for SD Downtown.I generally don care if an airport is big or small as long as its an interesting airport. San Diego is an interesting airport. Its oceanside and mountains and its a short runway very close to downtown and buildings. That makes it an interesting airport.:) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
August 14, 201015 yr Commercial Member Don't know if you guys are aware of this but KSAN is expanding. They are building onto terminal 2. Adding dozens of flights. They've already torn down the sky walkway to make room for a new double-decker arrival/departure area. Sad really, living so close to the airport I still liked it's "smallness" even being the busiest single runway airport in the nation. I believe completion of the new expansion will be 2012. Just gives me enough time to build a new add-on celebrating it, ha!ClutchCheck out the video: http://www.san.org/ Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) August 14, 201015 yr I generally don care if an airport is big or small as long as its an interesting airport. San Diego is an interesting airport. Its oceanside and mountains and its a short runway very close to downtown and buildings. That's right, Manny: it has the most picturesque stars for 27, followed by a short runway. Lets hope that it will be one of the addon airports for an OrbX/FTX version of SOCAL: I'm expecting LAX is going to be part of their announced NORCAL project, but it's most of a year away... Yes - I miss Fly Tampa. i7 | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
August 14, 201015 yr Author San Diego also needs the Aerosoft City treatment for SD Downtown. :( If Aerosoft did KSAN + City San Diego, I would die of joy! August 14, 201015 yr I don't own FT Midway, but if it becomes public knowledge how to convert their files to conform to FSX, I will purchase it for certain. With the PMDG 737 coming soon, matching it to SWA's home airport would be ideal. Curt Branch
August 14, 201015 yr Just want to jump in here real quick (since everyone is discussing KSAN) and mention that we are in the midst of finishing our KSAN scenery for FS2004 and if everything goes right we will make an FSX version.Cheers :(
August 14, 201015 yr Moderator Just want to jump in here real quick (since everyone is discussing KSAN) and mention that we are in the midst of finishing our KSAN scenery for FS2004 and if everything goes right we will make an FSX version.Cheers :(Looks great. Hopefully you will do an FSX version so I can quit monkeying with converting the FT FS9 version to work in FSX. Frankly I am surprised that you didn't start with an FSX version and then back port it to work with FS9 like a lot of other developers are doing these day.If you ever do the FSX version please make us FSX'ers aware of it.
