Hi! It looks fantastic but I've got some questions!Just wondering if it has the 738 Short Field Performance model. This is an special improviment pack that boeing developed for Gol (brazilian airline) to operate with the 738 in short runways and now many different airlines are operating this aircraft like Transavia.
It's not modeled as of yet, but they will most likely include it when the ER models come out. There has been some talk about it over the past few hours.
Another thing is about the different panel configurations. I notice many different things from one picture to another like MCP, some are that old orange, some are that new blue/white. Is this optional no matter what model you're flying with? Like I wnat to simulate an 10 year old 738 with that old scheme or an brand new 73G with the new panel. Is possible to make that kind of combination?
As of right now, the Honeywell avionics (orange) is in the 6/7/8/9 whereas the BBJ has the Collins avionics (white) iFly has already stated that they will make it an option for all aircraft in the sp.

Wow, I must say they are incredibly open to customers' requests. Just like a dream machine. Unlike some other developers I dealt with (for not less money).Adding this to the very positive feedback you guys are giving here, no wonder I'm finally bought for iFly 737! :(

Earlier in this post I asked the question about saving and returning to our current flight. The response that I received was that you could save a panel state. The answer left me somewhat confussed. I did pull down the Ifly manual and it also discussed saving the panel state. As an example of what I am looking for, can a current flight be save and returned to as I can now with the PMDG 747 and other aircraft? That is, being at FLXXX, can I save the flight, exit the sim, and return to that same flight, pick up the same position and continue to my destination airport? Due to current family medical issues, this is am important feature to me at this time. This is the only question that is holding me back from a purchase. Eaglesoft developed an outstanding Citation X version II aircraft, but because of the complexity of its design you could not save the current flight. Because of the family's medical issues I needed to return their outstanding product, which was performed with no questions being asked.ThanksTom

Hi,I am curious, it has been a few days since this product has been released. Is there a reason why none of the top FS sites like Avsim, Flightsim, Simflight etc have not carried a headline about this release? Dinshaw.

I'm not an AVSIM staff member, but I guess it depends on how fast a press release in sent to sites like these. Correct me if I'm wrong. As for Simflight, however, working more independently, it has been announced if you look at some other languave versions (e.g. German or Portugese).

You are correct. For a notice to appear on sites like Avsim and flightsim.com, a press release should be received by these web sites. They never post news that they did not receive a press release for. So, the reason for them not having a notice about the iFly 737, is because no press release was sent out to these websites. Alternatively, it has been sent out, but not processed yet.

Ahhhh...........Thanks Benjamin for that bit of information. I had no clue it was based on an official press release. You learn something new everyday. Again, just curious, is Avsim not allowed (by allowed, I mean a policy) to even put a one line notification like..."Ifly 737 NG for FS9 is released. Head over to www.blahblahblah.com for further details" even if the developer has not sent any official communication ?Thanks Rafal as well for your insight.Cheers,Dinshaw.

Hm, I'm not sure about that actually... I don't think that they are not allowed as such, I think its more that to be sure that what Avsim says about a product is true, they avoid posting their own notifications,. just to be on the safe side. That way you avoid publicizing bad info or info that shouldn't have been released. This is only a guess, though. If you'd like to know, however, I suggest you ask Tom Allensworth. He'd know it for sure.

As far as saving and returning to a flight is concerned, I haven't done that yet, but as a test of durability I did "Warp ahead" several way-points using Pro Flight Emulator's Warp To command and the aircraft didn't miss a beat, going so far as to automatically adjust the way-points in the FMC, deleting those I had warped over and automatically moving the next way-point in my flight plan up to LSK1 position. If a complex aircraft survives the PFE "Warp To" test, that's enough for me. But I'll be happy to test the save a flight and return functionality later tonight when I return home from work, if you like.

Great to know that! And it's going to have a specific FDE or it's gonna be just a visual thing? The SFP has some particular things like a more powerful brake, 27300lbs of thrust, different slat positions, spoiler opens differently, the N1 at full thrust can goes up to 104% according to the pilot while I was visiting the cockpit on my last flight and it also spools up quicker. I don't know exactly all the differences but I know there are many.Great week for you all.

Hello Patrick! Not necessarily all of the above apply for all the SFP aircraft. Our company operates some SFP 800s with 26k engines for example ;-)Here you can find a little bit of infohttp://www.b737.org.uk/flightcontrols.htm#Short-field_Performance_Enhancement_ProgramRegards,Sylvain

Are you sure that there's SFP with 26k?! I though it only has 27k...anyway...let's wait!-----------Another question that came up on my head is about the font used. It doesn't look quite like the real thing. iflyfs91.jpgI mean, the FMC does not use that font at all. Or I'm wrong? :(
Are you all using the default iFly 737 sounds or other sounds? If other sounds, which ones? Thanks!
I'm using my old Des Braban 737NG sound set that can be found here at Avsim. Not sure if you can still download it though after the hack.
