August 29, 201015 yr David, I was hoping there would be some comment regarding that, and you said it rightly so. ;) Incidently, It's Ryan, not Brian :) BTW hows the bug?:)Oops! Thanks Dave. August 29, 201015 yr Three other "little" details I really like about this:1) The Pilot's FMC and the Co-Pilot's FMC have functioning, independent read outs, even when using the throttle pedestal window.Chuck- Yes, very handy to have different FMC pages available simultaneously. I recommend it for all simmers.Attached is an old pic with both CDUs open on different pages- each beside the throttle as in real life.(PMDG 737 at Victoria CYYJ terminal.)Alex Reid
August 29, 201015 yr Well, having bought it when it came out, I finally got a chance to do a test flight today. I have to say I haven't been this pleasantly surprised by a release in a while. This thing's done one of the most exquisite, picture perfect autolands I have ever seen. As we all know, programming an add-on to perform a perfect autoland is no easy feat and is often a testament to how well an FDE and panel work and in iFly's case, they have it down to a T. August 29, 201015 yr I will be purchasing this product, however I think im going to wait until the first patch is released in hopes it corrects the CTD's as many simmers seem to be experiencing. I am quite excited for the first patch to be released, In the mean time I will continue to build my home flight deck for the 737 NG, originaly i was going to use the PMDG but I am going to be using the Ifly once the first patch is released(Not to say the PMDG is bad, as it was an amazing aircraft for its time, and i guess still is however the IFLY looks a little more crisp and modern).P.S for those interested in a more serious simming session, do some research, it is really quite cheap to make a basic home cockpit, honestly it realy is.(i know way off topic, but someone shared some good products out there on the market for home cockpit building for me and just wanted to let others know that it really is not that expensive.Anyways, GGGGOOOOOOOO IFLY, Cant wait for the first patch.P.S Im asuuming that this will probably be the last aircraft we see from Ifly that is for fs9, as I beleive at the time of development (2 years ago) it was probably still viable to produce for fs9, however now im not so sure, I could be wrong though, but in the meantime lets really enjoy this 737NG, I will once I have it I know that. August 29, 201015 yr Bought this last night. Even with the glitches, it is easily an improvement over the old PMDG 737. I hope they can get the SP out fairly quickly. Joe Sherrill

August 29, 201015 yr Author The customer service/support from iFly is top notch. Finally, a developer that listens to their customers instead of just acting like the customer is dumb and doesn't know what they're talking about. From their support forum:"We have collected all bugs reported in this forum. About 60% of them have been reproduced in our test system. Now we are trying to reproduce the remaining bugs. So, please be patient and have us some time. It still need some weeks to reproduce and fix all of them. For example, we will add more models in it, e.g. 700ER/900ER...."Awesome that they are making the ER models. Matt L.
August 29, 201015 yr I've been flying all weekend with all variants of this aircraft solely into complex, payware and freeware airports (one is even a beta!) and I have experienced NO CTDs! I fly with 4 (FOUR) monitors and my system is so overclocked it's constantly on the edge of a core meltdown, and not so much as a hiccup ! As a matter of fact, my core temps are fully 4 degrees lower than with a comparable PMDG product. No sh*t. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. August 29, 201015 yr I am cautiously excited right now. I'll have to study this aircraft. get it runiing from cold and dark to a fully online state, but I really dislike the fact that there seemingly is no tutorial. Is there really no tutorial, or am I just blind? August 30, 201015 yr Hi! It looks fantastic but I've got some questions!Just wondering if it has the 738 Short Field Performance model. This is an special improviment pack that boeing developed for Gol (brazilian airline) to operate with the 738 in short runways and now many different airlines are operating this aircraft like Transavia.Another thing is about the different panel configurations. I notice many different things from one picture to another like MCP, some are that old orange, some are that new blue/white. Is this optional no matter what model you're flying with? Like I wnat to simulate an 10 year old 738 with that old scheme or an brand new 73G with the new panel. Is possible to make that kind of combination?
