August 27, 201015 yr HI Garry I don't own it yet but you can always purchase it and if your not satisfied with it flight1 will give you a refund. you have 30days to decide if its good for you or not.http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=tosThanks for reminding me about the 30 day policy.I have never used the 30 day refund policy with flight1, I am assuming it has to be legit as flight 1 is very reputable, and in my experience a very good place to do business as a customer.(I am just not a big fan of asking for a refund when it comes to fs products, as I usually only purchase products that i am quite sure of the product in question, however this one I am extremely tempted to just jump in to it and hope for the best)I am so pumped for this release, but just trying to get some insight as to compared with the PMDG.Thnaks again Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
August 27, 201015 yr The Flight 1 refund policy is very legit. I've used it a couple of times(wished I'd have used it once more with the Airsimmer Bus). The iFly 737 has some issues to be worked out, but I wouldn't consider them a showstopper. I just flew a flight from DFW to IAH with a full autoland. It was right on the numbers and right down the centerline. I can't compare it to the PMDG 737 only because it's been so long since I flew it.Your best bet is to check out the iFly forum at Flight 1 to see what the issues are.http://www.simforums.com/forums/ifly-development-team_forum44.html FWIW, I thought it was worth the money I paid for it.
August 27, 201015 yr well I've parked the PMDG 737.It is great as is but can be better and the view seems to suggest they will improve it further. As solid as the PMDG plane is I much prefer this one even though it is at points less well simulated, there are many things that give it an advantage in my book.I especially like the way you can truly start cold and dark if desired and the rather extensive procedures you canprogram or fly yourself if desired. Also,I find it more stable then the PMDG bird,it just feels nicer.Thre are some drawbacks too,the PMDG bird is solid and knowing it for a long time I knowwhat to expect from it.Also some minor bugs, but for me no showstoppers(navlights reversed, fmc font, etc),and some features I'd like to see enhancedor added. All in all,it's a bargain for this price.

August 28, 201015 yr Commercial Member I'm surprised you bought this plane and more surprised your still using FS9... :(Why? I've had FS9 installed for a long time for supporting our stuff. Someone else made an aircraft we're making, so naturally I'm gonna check it out...Btw, the CTD I'm seeing is with the BBJ2, I'll go try with the other models, maybe it's somehow specific to it. August 28, 201015 yr Ryan, I was able to replicate your CTD in the 600 model, by selecting the "TNP Transition" after selecting the "Seavu2" approach. I suspect the FMC doesn't like selecting the same waypoint when it's already specified in the route; ie I already had entered J4 to TNP, so the selection of the "TNP Transition" was redundant. I just entered and flew the route without selecting the transition, but with all else being equal, and it went fine. Be curious to find out if you have the same result. John G.
August 28, 201015 yr Commercial Member Yep, I just tried it with every variant, the crash happens right after you select the TNP transition, sorry, should have made that clearer earlier. It's not because of the duplicate waypoint, the crash happens even if you just select that STAR/transition combo as the only thing in the flightplan. I don't know if I'll be able to hold out otherwise!!!!JJ
August 28, 201015 yr Author 1 thing to keep in mind. The navdata is a hybrid database with navaid/waypoint info from Navigraph, and procedures from Planepath.org. I'm sure that the navdata issues will be ironed out once the Navigraph support rolls out. This is driving me insane! Can anyone tell me exactly how to load a flight plan directly into the CDU from FS9??Thanks!If you use FSBuild, you can export it to the iFly 747, and then just copy/paste it to the 737NG/navdata/FLTPLAN folder Matt L.

August 28, 201015 yr Can anyone tell me exactly how to load a flight plan directly into the CDU from FS9??Thanks!Can anyone just clue me in here? I've come up with a work around by doing my flightplan in FSBuild, exporting to a dummy iFly 747-400 folder, and copying the flightplan file from there but there's got to be an easier way to do this, right? :( :( :( Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B.
