Aerosoft airbus x released!

Featured Replies

Yep, I'm afraid it flies exactly like the default A321. I had initial enthusiasm for this aircraft, based mainly on its admittedly stunning look and sounds....but, you know when you over-rotate the default a321 on takeoff and it just starts to dive into the ground after 200ft on the climb?
No it doesn't, I haven't got a clue what aircraft you are flying but my Airbus X doesn't fly like that and I don't have the managed climb and power problem that some are seeing either. Something very odd is going on for some people and for others the bus X flies very well. Yes there are some problems but not everyone is having problems, so to say that Aerosoft just fudged the default A321 is a bit unfair.

Cheers, Andy.

Wims: oh well I guess the german pilots who worked on this aircraft don't have a clue.

I don´t have this add-on myself, but someone on You Tube said to me, that the default A321 Auto Pilot is used in this aircraft! After I first saw this plane, I thought, "This doesn´t looks so interesting, why do all the people wait for this add-on???"And now I know why I thought so!I´m still using the Wilco Airbus Vol. 1 + 2 on my FS2004 and FSX and I´m happy with it ;)

This is just wrongEDIT: so I just asked a friend of mine who flies 744s for KLM" 21:47 @wims • spawnz 21:47 @wims • there's this guy that is arguing: 21:47 @wims • "Plus flying Stars all the way is highly unrealistic and is never done at ANY staffed airport, as confirmed by numerous pilots. Hence the exclusion." 21:47 @wims • is that true? 21:48 spawnz • usually the last part of the star is replaced by a couple of vectors 21:48 @wims • yeah of course 21:48 @wims • but there's this addon plane that does not let people add stars through the CDU 21:48 @wims • and people are arguing that this doesnt matter cause they dont fly stars in real life 21:49 spawnz • oh thats ridiculous wims"
Yyep this won me over. I am now convinced. Chatting to yourself isn't different from talking you know. It's a gliding scale.

I dont really care if you think i invented this conversation, because I know that it happened. I just didnt feel like extracting the important points, so i just copypasted the entire conversation instead. Feel free to continue to call people you dont know liars

Wims, don't worry I'm an Air Traffic Controller, still operational in Canada and previously in the United Kingdom and I said the same thing and basically got told I am a liar too and that I don't know what I am talking about. STARs are almost always flown virtually to downwind or base where the arrival features those legs (usually the RNAV STAR) or is flown to the termination point at the holding fix for vectors or the procedure. STARs are an essential part of airspace and traffic management and the busier the airport the more important they become because of the structure and predictabiliyy they bring (as do SIDs of course). Your pilot is of course entirely correct as anyone knows who has been involved in air transport operations would know. I gave up there they seem to be happier living in a fantasy World and telling everyone the real world operates how they think it does.

I use logic. You show us a "conversation" between you and a pilot of KLM. In ENGLISH, Wim. I am Dutch too, and I don't talk nor chat English with my friends, not even with my friend at Transavia. I use Spanish.

I don't call you a liar nor Wim. I am not arguing about SID/Stars. I just think it is funny that he shows a chat session in English. Or do you in Canada chat in another language other the French or English too with friends?

Im not dutch, im norwegian. I just happen to have a dutch name

I was talking about the Aerosoft forum, sorry that wasn't clear. I can only speak English (lazy Brit!) so thats my language options used up, the fact is the point he made was right. There seems to be this odd belief at the Aerosoft forums that SIDs and STARs are not used in real life operations which is the total opposite of the truth. The only point I want to make is to say that they are used constantly and are essential to the safe and efficient operation of the airspace system.

No arguing here..

Ah ok....... that makes sense then.....

No, the default A321 autopilot is not used in the Aerosoft AirbusX. Autopilots and fly-by-wire systems are not the same thing.

It seems to me that Aerosoft did not really feel like taking the time to develop the Sids and Stars portion of the CDU (which is fine its there choice) but now they are trying to convince people that its really not used in real world oppsbiggrin.gif And the funny thing is people are actually falling for itLMAO.gif I fly on Vatsim alot into CYYZ and Im on the STAR until the DTW at least.

Well thats upsetting I don't know what the heck is going on with aerosoft lately. its a mess even there scenery, forums, etc etc I don't understand how they couldnt put at least the sid and stars on it. the payware isgsim gauges support sid stars and can be put in the default A321. the thing is that aerosoft is not a small studio its one of the biggest flightsim company's we have in are hobby. its crazy making someone like atco whos a atc controller and I could imagine real world A320 pilots who have probably posted in there forums. making them look like liars. :(

I always found Aerosoft to blame other devs if somebody comes up with a bug report or a request about their things.Take dx10 mode for example. Other devs get around some limitations and offer you addons that run in dx10 and 9 too, while Aerosoft just goes for "this is a limitation of FSX, we can't do anything about and because our customers are so precious, we've decided to not support this or that feature". If they would use some updated textures, you wouldn't have to fly to white addon airports in dx10 mode.If somebody demands some function out of other addons they offer, they usually start with "well, how much does a real Airbus cost then?" and laugh about you in their forums while their fellow customers join in and the critical ones get those red judgement points in the right corner of their post. Now the people are complaining about the missing SID and STAR feature and Aerosoft goes for a "they don't use this in the real world too" policy while every real world aviation employee tells you the opposite. Is that a company you can trust? Is that the thing you want to hear if somebody just got 50 and more bucks from you?Strange Aerosoft image. If this Airbus hasn't been offered by them but from another dev, everybody would say that this is a bad and expensive addon with optics only. We're talking about 50 an more dollars here while Just Flight just released a light Airbus for about 20, which is a very fair price and a very open offer about the system depth there.
