September 8, 201015 yr Are you sure you can tell a difference and not just placebo effect?I just came back here to report, that:Running ASE, with....REX2 set to:Mostly OD and HD textures in place where allowed.Have 4096 res.Without even taking the time to DEFRAG (which I will when leaving the computer...)...I am seeing very good FPS (mostly staying around 28-32 FPS) with my highly detailed St. Lucia and other Carib scenery. Is the effect day and night from my last non-OverDrive setup... I wouldn't say so...but what I am seeing is VERY pleasing to the eye and FPS boosting for sure. Trying out other favorite destinations. I am really into the new water/wave textures. This is where there is major bang-for-the-buck as per my op. I have Shader 2 set to Mid.My two..er..three cents.I try to keep my PC as "clean" as possible and only install apps I really need but thanks for the tip, might try that if I'm unable to download the upgrade without the download manager.Anyone had the chance to try out the new textures yet?I'm running with them right now. Many more choices in textures all around.... Very nice....Water/Wave choices and results is especially pleasing.
September 8, 201015 yr Commercial Member Are you sure you can tell a difference and not just placebo effect? How could it be? It's simply more options. The OverDrive textures were material created near the release of the original REX, and because of feature-creep, we did not include them. Our development techniques were getting better and better, and the results are very noticeable within OD. It's free, so if you are a REX user, might as well give it a go :( Tim FuchsManaging PartnerREX SIMULATIONS website: www.rexsimulations.comsupport: www.rexaxis.com

September 8, 201015 yr Author Wow! After downloading last night and finally getting home to install I am suprised at how long it took to extract and then install. This must be one large update! Mike Keigley
