I like it! :) I hope this comes out and gives us a good option for buying a 787 addon. I'm looking forward to seeing more in game shots and more development updates. :(
Yeah it looks like its off to a nice start.I don't understand what all the arguing is about since this plane was never advertised as a plane that was going to be fully modeled as far as systems go, which is fine since some people dont want to spend 10 minutes or more to get it started and in the air. If you want all the systems modeled then its not for you. If you want more than what the default planes offer, even though there is no default 787, but want something a little nicer then that, then this is the way to go. Like Duckbilled said, some poeple want to be able to use the GPS and not have to program an FMC to fly a STAR or approach.

I am looking foward to this alot, I am one who seems to find it hard to have more than 40mins at any one time at the computer so have always held off on the full system stuff as I don't think I would be able to give it the time it needs, I did install the IFly 747 for FS9 and remember going crossed eyed when confronted with a FMC :( .Having said that I do think at one point I will get a full system bird as just recently when I thought the PMDG 747NG was going to be released I was ready to buy it but that still seems a way off and I am content just mucking about with Posky 744s and 737s and being able to get in and go for a few quick T&G.So there will be a sale from me for this plane as I love the looks of it and will be after something I can admire and fly easily and if it is slowly added to system wise then that would be cool to.

Strange topic here. With regards to how we are going to be getting accurate numbers on the plane, just trust us with it. We wouldnt be making it if we didnt think we couldnt do it. There are certain people on the team that have amazing resources with being able to find those very numbers that are in question. Look at it this way, as each day passes more and more information becomes avaiable, not the other way around, and it will continue to be like.

I'm just wondering, how are they going to simulate a plane that havent even been released? How are they going to get accurate numbers. Or are they planning on making a fantasy plane that looks like a 787?

I thinks its going to be a great product! I think QW is in a win/win situation here because they are making an airliner that many people want... but they also won't have to bow down and appease by the so-called "experts" who insist on "by the numbers" accuracy in the FDE. The simple fact is that unless there is a Boeing test pilot or a Boeing engineer who buys the product, NO ONE in this forum is in any position to dispute the flight dynamics, characteristics, and fuel burn. The simple fact is that there is not a single simmer here who has ANY time in a 787 - or even time in a 787 simulator - so who is to say whether or not the FDE is accurate.Personally, I'm looking forward to something that LOOKS accurate and flies in a stable, bug-free manner. That's what they've done with their 757 and I expect nothing less with their 787. As QW have said, this is an ENTERTAINMENT product... geared towards providing a medium-level simulation. There are plenty of other features that entice me with this upcoming offering - the revolutionary cockpit layout and instrumentation; the gorgeous, graceful exterior (especially those magnificent flexing wings); and a fluid simulation experience. If you want to fly a 787 by the numbers, I suggest you earn your ATP, get a job with an airline that plans to fly it, and work your way up the seniority ladder! Then you can fly by-the-numbers all you want! Otherwise, back-off and let QW produce their version of this ground-breaking aircraft.This isn't going to be a cartoonish "Abacus-like" simulation. QW will produce a dramatic 2-D panel and detailed VC, a sleek exterior model, and a stable FDE. They will have an updatable nav database (including SIDs and STARs), and will probably produce detailed and meticulously painted liveries for every airline who has ordered the aircraft. Not even PMDG, even with their deep ties to Boeing, would be able to do much more than that. The aircraft is simply too new and the numbers are too classified. Boeing wouldn't give out the performance numbers at this point to anyone other than their customers. It's called "competitive advantage."As the 787 enters service and the performance characteristics become more commonly known, QW can tweak the aircraft & systems to perform more to spec... but for the time being, they are allowed a certain amount of "artistic license" to produce what they feel is a suitable representation.The simple proposition here is.. if it's not what you want, then don't buy it! There are plenty of other "as real as it gets" add-ons out there. Buy those and let those of us who don't give a rat's rump about "by-the-numbers" accuracy enjoy what I know will be a first-rate product. QW has a talented team of people working on this. No advertising for QW.. just an honest appraisal of their work based upon their 757 - which is one of the more enjoyable FS9/FSX add-ons I have. :(

You have clearly not seen some of Lars's work. He is one of the best exterior modelers I know. trust me when I say that the 787 will most probably end up looking just like the real thing. You knwo what? I'll even go as far as saying that I think Lars is one of the most gifted exterior modelers of our time.
