So how does the PMDG 737NGX compare to...

Great update...but the real question is........when we use on the brakes, will the toe brakes pedal pivot as well?
If you mean the pedals being animated when the brakes are applied, then yes, surely. The J41 has this feature.

pmdg should have pre-ordering. like video games, you can pre-order them for a discount price, compared to the actually price it will be when it comes out.Ryan D.

I don't think PMDG needs early cash to motivate them to get this thing done quicker, imo.

I never meant it by making them getting the aircraft done quicker, I was trying to say how the buyer could save money. Maybe even have a pre-order option of buying the 737ngx, and getting a discount on the next aircraft that comes out after the 737. something like that. It was just an idea.Ryan D.

I really like what I see, but unfortunately, I don't think this is going to be a 2010 release anymore. I reread the entire thread, and the language used does not indicate the project is nearing completion. That's okay, but folks should probably plan on early 2011 now.

It is only normal that with time, things do get better, but it is scary to see the two compared this way.The original (sadly I never owned) seems to hold its own even today. Yes yes, it is nowhere near as good as what is coming (I will own this one if I am still around), and from the info. nowhere near as detailed in all aspects, but wow.Goes to show that if you have it, you have it.

looks great, but the extrusion on the side of the left/right window above the handle to open the window. Isn't that "thing" too big and thick compared to the real thing? It's the thing right above the window open handle that extrudes from the edge of the left/right windowsLook here 737%20Cockpit.jpgpmdg_737ngx_left_seat_then_and_now.jpg

It's amazing that you manage to make the displays have photo realistic look as taken with a camera. The only thing i worry about this, is that when sitting in the real aircraft the displays are very high contrasted monitors. The magenta line/FD almost burns in your eye - even in daylight - probably because of the monitor being placed under the MCP.

No, it is bad comparison, the perspectives are totally different, plus the zoom is wide as RR stated in the beginning. Find another photo that will put you in the captain's seat with a similar zoom angle.

Not sure I get it, what is that you worry about??

Speaking about moving pedals, that animation in the J41 for me has always been very erratic...a little bit like the pedals always stay in their neutral position and what move when I press the pedals are like ghost images of the pedals...a little bit hard to describe but I hope you get the picture. I'm using CH pedals and I have autorudder disabled in FSX and I don't have this problem with all a/c so it doesn't appear to be a FSX/general problem.Anyway, I hope the pedals in the NGX will move realistically using pedals like the CH ones I'm using.

Scope, I admire your motivation, but when it comes to aesthetics, don't you think they have a whole team and a beta team to make these decisions?I mean since dust has been a hot topic for discussion in their team, I think they have it all covered.
