So how does the PMDG 737NGX compare to...

All the colors are customizable, even the hue of the flood lighting. (yes, you'll be able to Pimp Your NGX™ with purple lights at night if you want lol...)
Will the Black Light be an option, for all that dust, dirt, and grime? Raised%20Eyebrow.gif Love the updates Ryan, Robert, and Vic. I hope to be flyin this bird before my grandparents cross the pond before Christmas.Big%20Grin.gif

I like the idea of the customizations. I don't know if I'll use them personally but I know others will, and it just goes to show that PMDG listen to their audience collectively. Plus, who knows what Boeing will release tomorrow, or Airbus. Down the road we may see changes and people may want to get that color scheme in the then older, NGX. Some people ask for realism and some people like myself just like the systems and slowly learning what the heck they do, others get hung up on floor textures while others may want buck rodger lights coming from the engines haha. To each their own and it's not hurting having it available as an option :wink:Edit: There is a way to add your own music to FSX and tune it whenever you want to hear it by the way.

Sorry about that, thought it was one the first things I did when I setup my account. Will the number dial on the yoke be rotatable/animated?
Dan-You know- that actually is realistic... When the blades shed ice- it hits the kevlar panels on the sides of the fusealge and makes a heck of a racket... it sounds like someone whacking the side of the airplane with strands of beaded rope.We couldn't hear it from the flight deck unless it was REALLY bad... in which case we were usually to busy to notice the sound...
Very cool, I thought there might be, and exactly like you said, sounding the way it does even. I have toyed with (many many hours) with making better AI sounds and it's too bad there aren't more triggers or way to add sounds at specific spots. I don't know how that would differ with what you all do but it would be pretty cool to have maybe a 90 second timer from the time you turn on the heat to hear that beaded rope sound :(! Especially for those that use the ole butt kicker haha.

See the buttkicker comment above :wink:Actually (and sadly) you can add music and such and have it able to tune your radio to hear it on comm2, but that way would require you to own FSP. Other sound file programs can also be edited to do similar, but the audio needs to be stripped for FSX to play it normally. Stereo is possible but most sounds use a low compression free format with Sample Rates around 11025 and 8bit. So again, you can do it but it might not be as one hopes :)I also have all my own music on FSX as far as menu songs, those I was able to keep sounding pretty good.

Hello Guys,Only one question: On the aircrafts with winglets, the In-flight Speedbrake Load Alleviation System will be simulated?

I was wondering about the bump along the front window supports myself. Never saw that before and I'm curious as to what their function is (if any). Did a quick search on Airliners.net and found a 737 flight deck pic that shows them prominently (picture ID 1666537). Looks like they don't extend past the window latches (at least on the model in the pic). But it was said these NGX pictures are 5 weeks old and as this is a project still in development I would expect if it isn't right, knowing PMDG it will be by the time it's all said and done.

Tony

I searched pics all over the net and could not find one that did not match up correctly in reference to the window support and handle...Then silly me remembered that i had a poster right above me of a 737 cockpit and it shows it a little bulkier than any pic on the net.. I would love to know what the go is with it..

Off-topic but does anyone know the whole story on the famed pogo-stick? Otherwise, I look forward to this baby!

The whole spoiler system is simulated to a pretty insane level of detail - yes it works just like the real thing.

They only use the Ban Hammer on people who make bad jokes. You're good. :(
