EZCA 2.0. The first video.

Featured Replies

Hi guys. During experiments with simconnect variables there was a possibility to model oscillations of a fuselage depending on weather conditions. The weather engine is simple , but in future it possible to improve. This small video shows a new physical engine for modeling of oscillations. (Sorry for advertise :-)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOOjmWju8vQNow oscillations depend on weather conditions. Also oscillations depend on flight in a layer of clouds. These are very realistic oscillations of the plane synthesized by means of EZCA motion engine and aren't connected with oscillations from FSX engine or ActiveSky. It was the small announcement :-)Now a question for all. I want to make the expanded manager of cameras. For this purpose it is necessary for me to know your wishes and sentences which will be included in version 2.0 If it is interesting, let's consider it here.

Very nice, I can't wait to try it out!A couple of things that I think would be nice for 2.0:-include some basic presets for camera resonance/dynamic head movement/random movement. For example a very light / light / medium / heavy aircraft preset for RND, same for DHM, and a small / mild / heavy action for camera resonance. Using all the different generators manually has a big learning curve and I know frustrates a lot of people. The best thing would be a camera creation "wizard" which would walk you through camera creation step by step, for example, "please position camera using arrow keys, mouse movements, and page up/page down then press enter", "OK now please select what level of random head movement you would like (you can create your own custom vibration settings later)", "OK now please select DHM level" etc. etc.-Ability to clone external cameras the same way you can clone internal camerasOne other thing I would like would be for the EZCA config.exe program to be able to read the default virtual cockpit "stations" (the ones you cycle with A key by default) and then automatically import them into EZCA cameras for that aircraft. That way you have some default camera positions to choose from the way the developer of the aircraft designed them, and you could tweak and modify those from there. This could be an optional thing for those who want to make all their cameras from scratch, but combined with my "wizard" idea it would make the whole process for NEW users very very pleasant and avoid a lot of frustration and maybe even canceled orders at flight1.comMolly

I haven't thought that it is possible to import default cameras form aircraft.ini! I will include this idea in 2.0In 2.0 six generators instead of three. I think that adjustments of generators shouldn't be accessible to the user. It creates many inconveniences. Each of six generators will be adjusted on vibration from air holes or surges from earthen hummocks. It is a lot of situations. To the user will vibration level of "hummocks" or "air holes" are accessible only. I will attentively study it and I will make the decision a bit later.

Wow!Now THAT looks promising :(

Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)

Agreed! Can't wait to see and virtually feel those weather turbulence effects!

Thanks for continuing to improve this great FSX add-on. In my opinion this is another must have add-on.PS: Please upload a full version of 2.0 to the server when ready. Thanks.

I think it will be not earlier than February. It is a lot of operation. Actually operation over version 2.0 is begun with zero.

+1 on those points, especially the idea of adding some generic presets that can be imported into new add-on planes. Right now it's still a little clunky to do it. Editing a camera's position once it's in place is simple, but it'd be nice if new add-ons could do a one-click install of some default cameras to get started.

Superb points there, I fully agree, double and would enjoy those things to be implemented. A big thumbsup on the constant improvement of an already best buyOne question for Marniftarr is, will this build in weather engine make others like REX, ASE and Open Clouds obsolete or does it coexist in a way? Would be a new topic for EZCA while those addons had some evolution on their way to the best weather addons. So if it would be possible to use those values from them, you would save some work while people still can enjoy the various options of e. g. ASE. Maybe EZCA then just reads "turbulence" from ASE and starts its work instead of doing everything alone.By the way, very cool music in your video.

That was basically my question. I don't really need another weather engine. I'd just like better turbulence.Other things I would like:Ability to have shake and vibration when the aircraft is dirty. Effects dissipate once it is clean. Could also be controlled by speed (rather than gears and control surfaces)and adjusted depending on aircraft.More intuitive labels for adjustments - less technical jargon.

I think it's a translation matter, Jeff. Marny means a "better turbulence generator" - one that is linked to the weather generation within FSX, whether that be FSX default, REX or ASE/X (etc.,)I sure agree on the dirty aircraft. I like 'em to shake and rattle. When I get the first load of garbage off the floor in my face half-way 'round a loop - I'll know somebody listened.

I haven't up to the end understood a question. But I will try to answer.ASE synthesizes turbulence by means of engine FSX. He speaks to engine that in a scenario proper place there will be a turbulence in a necessary amount. The nature of oscillations of the plane remains by default FSX. You won't see constant small oscillations of a fuselage during flight. These oscillations synthesizes EZCA. In version 2.0 small oscillations will be pass to a fuselage of the plane and will be synthesized taking into account weather conditions. Such oscillations create effect of presence and add realism. EZCA the engine synthesizes only small oscillations and can work together with ASE.

Add me to the list of those requesting the ability to import default VC views as cameras, and also a set of easy-to-apply presets. I'm one of those people who's interested in turbulence and motion effects, but not in camera creation or video-related applications. I like the idea of EZCA but so far I've had it on and off my system three times because I find it much too difficult to work with. I add a great many aircraft and like to switch around among them. To me, the task of setting up cameras and effects for each is much too daunting. And I've never really mastered the art of setting up cameras - I can never quite duplicate my VC views and find that I'm constantly having to adjust in flight for sitting too high, or too low, or too far forward in the VC. The designers' settings for pilot viewpoint are usually pretty good these days, and I'd like to be able to use them... and to get an aircraft up and running as quickly as possible. I continue to use FS Force because it's easy to set up - run the configurator, assign a profile, and go. It can be tweaked, but doesn't have to be in order to work. I'd like EZCA to have the same ease of use.Looking forward to seeing if you can get any of this included in 2.0. If so, I'll be glad to use EZCA again.

Ditto that. I too would like to see this as I find it very finicky and time consuming trying to set up all the different viewpoints in EZCA and so have only enabled it on a few planes. Would love to be able to cycle through the default views as normal, but with the ability to assign a few keys to quickly adjust viewpoints from there and a few hotkeys to go directly to some of the views. When I purchase a new aircraft I would like to be able to load it up and go and still enjoy the added effects from EZCA.Thanks
