E-Jets V2 Review by Ray Marshall

Featured Replies

Wow! What a thorough review of the E-Jets V2 by Ray Marshall. It is the most complete review I have read. Ray deserves credit for the review which makes me really want to buy the plane. Thanks AVSIM & Ray, Bob.

I concur, with the exeption of the comparisons to a competitors product which has not even been released yet. They did make me raise a brow.

I agree! That´s what the reviews should be like.

A good deal of work went into this review. My congrats. And did I forget to say it was great? It is great. :Applause: And to conccur with a previous post, it makes me want to buy the product too. The VC snapshots were amazing.allen

Yup, it's an excellent review, even if it did contain one of my personal niggles; that of spelling hangar as 'hanger', I hate it when people do that.Al

I too was very impressed with this review, and found it not only helpful but also a joy to read. I have further comments about the review in this thread:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/320874-feelthere-ejets-v2/Thanks again for the wonderfully written and informative review.Robert

I hate it when people mispel words and use poor grammer to AL!Ian :Big Grin: ps. The sad thing is a lot of people today would read that sentence and not see the joke! Sigh! (I'm a university professor - trust me when I say a LOT of people)

I have a question for those who own this product. I have to say that I have been disappointed in the FeelThere products I have bought in the past, even though one of them also won an AVSIM Gold Star. Little but annoying things like photo enhanced panels showing switches that are not clickable, (even if it doesn't function it's still nice to be able to click it!) significant discrepancies between the 2D and 3D cockpits, gaps in textures in the panel where you can see daylight etc. I have to say that the review was extremely well-written and seems trustworthy but having been burned before, can anyone tell us if they think the product really does live up to the Gold Star award?Ian

1. Hangar (and another typo) fixed.2. This was a "contributed" review by a fan. I have lots of material waiting to be reviewed....anyone else want to take on the challenge as staff?

I wish to thank the author of this review for a thorough and enthusiastic job. While I think it is a credit to the author, AVSIM, and even the add-on developer, I do think some "editing" is warranted. The review lacks that polish that is the editors job - it needs some grammatical and style tuning.I would solicit more of these as they seem to exceed staff reviews.

Terrific review - I'd buy this set of jets if the night lighting was realisitc. Feel There has some kind of "thing" against dark cockpits at night.

thanks for the informative review ray !i have a few hundred hours in the V1 (170/190) & have been mulling the need to buy V2.those hours include many visual / hand flown approaches to "rural" airports much as virgin blue does here in oz.for this, i wish they would offer an option for a "no yoke" VC as they (feelthere) does in the equally competent ERJ series. I find it most flustering and a tad unreal to have half the EHSI hidden during turns in the circuit - despite the aid of TrackIR. after all, the Ejet must equally be flyable into city airports down an ILS as it needs to do the mentioned visual circuits at a regional.did you have any comments in this that you might add from your review flights ? cheers for nowjohn

for now, cheers

I dunno... having flown the previous issues of Feelthere products, while good and not terrible... I found that this review was too positive about things to the point where I can't take the review seriously. As a complex aircraft I would expect a complex review not a typical, this airplane looks gorgeous review. Things I suggest to add: * AP performance in turns into approach... does it catch the center line or drift off course and need corrections. * AP Issues with joining flight routes from precarious positions. * More on the functionalitly of the FMC... what options are available to choose from be it t/o derates, flex temps, etc... * Does the HUD actually look as it should... or is it out of no where green field on a windshield? * What total effect and feel does the aircraft exhibit with different loads? * Navigraph support for FMC database? You mention SID and STARS and that the plane eats it up, but what does this mean???Again,... to much this great about little things compared to things that matter... just my 2 cents.

i suggest you visit the support forum and see feedback and questions -http://forum.iemit.com
* More on the functionalitly of the FMC... what options are available to choose from be it t/o derates, flex temps, etc...
yes, see manual for more details -https://freedownload...tsv2_Manual.pdf
* Does the HUD actually look as it should... or is it out of no where green field on a windshield?
not sure what you mean ... but visually a HUD is a display over the windscreen. there are details in the above linked manual.
* What total effect and feel does the aircraft exhibit with different loads?
see above linked forum for comments and talk about the plane.
* Navigraph support for FMC database?
navigraph has supported the feelThere commmon database for about five years. the ejet has full SID/STAR support. see above linked forum for comments and talk about the plane.--
