Profile-Bumper1.jpgCaptains,I just wanted to let you know officially from us that Angle of Attack has released their finished MD-11 training course. I have watched the vast majority of it and it is a superb companion to our airplane. You'll even hear my voice somewhere in the training (bonus points to whoever posts exactly where!) Chris and Nick have done a great job and I highly recommend the product! You can purchase it here:http://www.flyaoamedia.com/blog/md11/

Got it since it was oni very small number of people, great value for the produc more than 10 hours of video, a lot of tips and usefull information, flight planning, procedures, very different kind of approach (Visual, ILS, Autoland, Loc, VOR DME, ....) and three flights of varying length short, medium and long. I learned quite a bit with this set of video, on the procedures and all about this bird, and video is so much more interesting than reading a paper tutorial (even the best one)

The MD 11 training from AOA is just incredible good. (bought it in october)Even if you think you could master the ac as a pro, there´s still a lot to learn. Also only viewing it, will get you back in the seat of MD11, even if you happens to be tired of flying. My Thumbs up for this. I can highly recommend it!/ Leffe

To all MD11 captains.if you own a PMDG MD11 there is only one thing you need more, the training from Angle of Attack. Chris, Nick and the team did a great job to learn you everything you need to know about this beautiful bird to take it to the max. They did it in easy to understand words and most of all amazing HD movies. So it's visible, that did it for me i've learnt more about this plane by taking this course than out of the manuals. For everyone who fly's this bird this is a MUST.Regards,Alex van Roij

This MD-11 training is awesome.I bought the trainingpackage back in October when it was first released and although I know my way around a PDMG MD-11, these training video's add a lot of knowledge, fun and realism to my flights. The pace of the video's is great. Even if you don't know the aircraft that well yet, I think you'll be able to follow along the exercises and flights quite well.Every aspect of your MD-11 flights, starting from the pre-flight planning phase, is discussed and explained into relevant detail. Not so you'll be dazzled by way to many bits and pieces of information. The footage looks really awesome too. I mean. Watching the video's of the flights in HD, even if you don't own the PMDG MD-11, I think are appealing to any aviation-enthusiast.Watching all that beautiful FSX footage and add-on scenery makes you want to buy a new computer so you can run FSX just like that, by yourself. That's basically the only 'downside' of this package I could think off.To my opinion, you're getting great value for your money.

The people over at Angle of Attack have produced a superb training package. The video presentations and documentation take you through the big bird (step-by-step) so you get a sense of what it's like operating this very large piece of machinery. If you match this package with the PMDG MD-11 manuals you then have a complete training program that greatly enhances your immersion into the flight of the MD-11.I higly recommend this training.fb

Slightly off-topic, i know. But has anyone seen the 747 training AoA do?

Only on the 3 DVD's but if the 'online' is the same or similar then it's well worth it.As for the MD11 training - it's excellent full stop.It might be ok for some to be able to read and follow the manuals and handle all the nuances of them but seeing how to do the flying really adds to the understanding. Chris and Nick are very helpful as well if any questions arise.Everything from taxi to charts and planning is covered.John Ellison
