Externalities and the NGX

That means I'd better can wait to install the 737NGX if I'm getting a new pc?
I think you are still activating on one pc if you reformate your harddrive/ new motherboard. I think when its simultaneous like having 2 computers running FSX at the same time with 1 copy of the PMDG aircraft is when you are breaking the rules

Hi,I can vouch for FirstOfficera320 (aka Martin) and his claim that he is a real-world A320 pilot. I know Martin off-forum, and his question was a legitimate one. With all respect to PMDG, they claim they strive for realism (I think Capt. Randazzo posted around here somewhere that they are even modeling effects of pressure on temperature of oil and realistic cooling rates of the oil etc..) so when a question regarding the effect of SAC vs. DAC engines is raised it is fair game for an honest and reasonable answer. It affects performance (both engine and aircraft) and engine indications. I see there are some two pages of junk postings, whilst his question was largely unaddressed.Best regards,Robin.

I don't think anyone here expressed any serious doubts about Martin (not)being a real life commercial pilot.

It is really up to PMDG what questions they chose to answer, it is their forum, their product. Have you read at least 10% of this thread? There were many questions either never fully answered or only partially answered. Personally I think it is a bit rude to demand an answer now regardless how important you feel the question might be.

I'm not demanding anything - it was merely an observation of the pages since the question.Did I read the entire thread? No. Martin mentioned it and I came and had a look. I must say that Dr. Vaos reply could have been better than it was. As it is, his post smacked of superiority because he has a Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics (if I'm not mistaken). It seemed a rather terse reply to a legitimate question (but that is just my opinion).Best regards,Robin.

Hi guys,Yes, it's me again. Still beating the subject of DAC vs SAC. I found this photo a friend of mine took doing decent. This aircraft is equiped with one of each. I know the engine fittet to the A320 is the -5B rather than the -7B on the 737ng, but this is just to show there is a difference. Do I dare ask if someone from the PMDG can answer my other two questions from the first post? These are of more importance that the above "issue".Thanks,Martin Dahlerup
Is this from the fleet your flying on? As I mentioned before the outfit I'm with at the moment have a 2 aircraft currently with 1 DAC and one SAC, no stickers above the lower ECAM but I guess it makes a lot of sense.

Excellent Job PMDG team.I am really thrilled that such thing can be done for FSX with option to customise to that detail.I am just keeping my credit card ready team :( .Not to mention it really feels good tht PMDG will work on 777.I would just like to know what are their views about a AIRBUS aircraft, as the developer who tried it were not so sucessful doing it right.I wish tht PMDG will come up with a AIRBUS aircraft for us AIRBUS lovers as well. I hope PMDG will answer my small query ASAPI wish the entire PMDG team all the best and may they come with more aircrafts as the PMDG BOEING 737 NGX and also with a highly detailed AIRBUS aircraft soon Sameer R Mankame

I hold a EASA fATPL + A320 SIC rating and a FAA CPL with CFI rating.

Hey guys!I was just flying on the sim and I got that creepy fatal error due to opening windows in the sim (accordingly to some thread on the forum I think), and I thought if you guys could do something in respect in the NGX. OK, I read you guys have a lot of things in FMC but, sometimes you just want to admire the beauty from outside or whatever, and this kind of error seems to happen a lot more with addon aircrafts.I dunno if I made it clear but it's late night here in Brazil and I'm very sleepy.Best wishes!!Bruno Fontanella.

Ew. :(

Tongue in cheek, Martin, but maybe you could just placard your computer screen like the picture you posted and remind yourself to add 100° to the EGT?This requested option isn't any more weird or essentially pointless than some of the features PMDG has already said are included, but the line has to be drawn somewhere.

Never heard of the NG having both variants. Correct me if i am wrong but the SAC is older. Before the NG even came out. I think the NG came ou in '96 if memory serves me correct. By that ime they had already developed the DAC. just guessing.Jack Colwill

Michal usually defends PMDG (though they need no defense[!!!]). The self proclaimed attack dog--get it? (the avatar)J/k Michal...But with all seriousness, I think it's kind of a cool question Martin raised. The apparent answer, though, is "no". It's not modeled! I won't miss it but it's still interesting.

What about those that want to use wideview to get panoramic views? http://www.wideview.it/wideview.htm Maybe im wrong but I thought most if not all fsx software could be placed on multiple computers due to the need to use multiple networked computers to cope with the demand of fsx and add ons particularly for home cockpit builders using up to 10 monitors for external views and intrumentsMike Kendall

Not exactly, since all the computers are interfacing with each other, and acting as one machine, I think its acceptable. Most of the multi-screen views just use a screen splitter of some sort but keep one CPU anyway.
