February 8, 201115 yr LVD767 is still an awesome wonder to fly! They also give access to their SDK so it works PERFECTLY with my M-Panel.Mike Simmons (Former Zoom airlines line cpt) told me the same thing with the landing gear being pointed downward, one reason you needed to plant it on instead of trying to grease it.My favorite FS9 bird is the PMDG 747 though. It is at the top of my heap. But the LVD is still a keeper, any FS9 pilot should own it. Al Stiff
February 8, 201115 yr PMDG's MD-11 is, as far as I'm concerned, the pinnacle of FS9 development with LSH's Maddog a close second (probably due to the inherent complexity of the MD-80). LDS767 is still an amazing piece of software engineering, but I feel both the MDs have surpassed it. The jury is still out on the iFly NG. February 8, 201115 yr I have to add another thing to my previous comment. The price. The Level-D 767 is the absolute best value, buck for buck and none of the others have beaten it. The winglet addition was also given free. This makes the Level-D devs, firm favourites for future business IMO. Dave Taylor
February 8, 201115 yr Author I should have waited but I didn't. I went ahead and bought the iFly 737. It was $55 waisted for me. I didn't like it, I uninsulated it and will probably never install it again. What didn't I like? I didn't like the looks of it. It was short and stubby and had a bad color. I also did not like the look of the VC as I fly with 4 monitors the VC is a deal breaker. The small narrow front window was not to my liking and I didn't like the look of the overhead in the main VC view. The switches were oversized, streached and blurry. Everyone has an opinion and mine is it cann't touch the LVLD-767. :( jerrycwo4

Can I have a review (and if possible sound grab) of cockpit sounds from the PMDG 747 please?Daniel
February 8, 201115 yr What didn't I like? I didn't like the looks of it. It was short and stubby and had a bad color.:( jerrycwo4Hello JerryYou did look at photo's of a 737NG before you bought it didn't you?, of course its stubby compared to a 767.Especially the 600, try the 900 its a bit longer longer :( What was wrong with the colour?, what colour where you expecting and how did it differ from the screenshots on the Flight1 website.Still at least you haven't wasted your money as you can get a full refund from Flight1, you may need a better excuse than "Didnt like the colour" though
February 8, 201115 yr I love the LevelD 767 and fly it even more now than before since I have the FS2Crew voice edition. It is at the top BUT together with some other planes, PMDG MD11, PMDG 747 and the Maddog MD82. Having said that, I have experienced some weird AP behaviours that I haven't seen in any other of the other three. The other night eg I did a Vatsim flight, arrived on RIIVR2 arrival for KLAX and in LNAV and ALT hold commanded mode I maintained 12,000 feet inbound RIIVR. I was looking at the charts when I noticed the aircraft started doing a right turn steep climb with full throttle. The FMA still indicated LNAV, ALT HLD and CMD was green so I have no idea what was going on. I've seen the same kind of behaviour before when installed on another computer with other add-ons. Also, I can't get it to manage a VNAV descent into the same airport although everything is correctly programmed. An issue I never have with the MD11 or 747.But apart from that, it is a gorgeous bird and the King of the hill. However, there are more hills... Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
February 8, 201115 yr Been reading about the iFly 737NG and was wondering if it has replaced the LVLD 767 as the top airliner for FS2004? I have been flying the LVLD 767 for years and dont see how any other aircraft could be more realistic. Your opinion please. Thanks jerrycwo4I spend more of my FS time in the PT Tu-154M - out of everything else I just like it the best and really enjoy flying it. However the Level-D 767 is very special to me too. I've had it for years as well and, for me, its still great.

LDS767 is still an amazing piece of software engineering, but I feel both the MDs have surpassed it. The jury is still out on the iFly NG.This is something that's hard to decide. I personally think the MD-80 is above and beyond any other currently released FS aircraft, because of the sheer detail and extreme accuracy of the systems. Everything in the plane works (even the fuses!), and it works well, ina trustworthy and accurate way. The MD-11 also does a lot of that, and it doe s alot of it well also, but in my mind it doesn't reach the level of detail of the MD-80. The difference isn't big and the MD-11 isn't that far behind the MD-80 at all, it's just a little bit further.I'll tell you of one huge annoyance I have with the MD-11: the exterior being hopelessly inaccurate and under-detailed (if that's a word at all). For an addon in that price range, you'd hope everything to be at least "great". Fact is, the MD-11's exterior is below average. I suppose as a reviewer you're much more attuned to such discrepancies. Just out of curiosity (and apologies for the derail) - what are some of the most obvious errors? February 9, 201115 yr I would like to direct Jerry to the iFly support forums.Steve is very amiable and also very in the loop sowhatever issue you might have he'll surely deal with it.As for not liking the looks, that can't be helped, the 737 lookslike it does due to Boeing, that's not iFly to decide.I think they have captured the plane well within the confines of the sim.As for the VC not looking good when you span it across four monitors, well, that means you gotta adjust some I think, the plane is not built with users like you in mind, you can surely appreciate that.Nevertheless there should be a workable solution so I'm a bitsad you won't try any further, there seem to be more people that want to use the planelike you do but for building cockpits and there's a forum specificallyadressing building flightdecks and whatnot at iFly.Maybe those folks know more or can help out.It works great here and looks even better so I am a bit miffed to see a reaction like yours. Also remember the SP rev 3 is out, it might be that that changes the whole experience for youso I would invite you to try it out anyway.Might save ya 55 bucks notsowellspent and turn it into55 bugs well spent.JP.

Don't know why you'd want to rag on the addon.Flight1 will refund your $55 so no harm done.
