February 28, 201115 yr Edit: that should say "RealAir Turbine" in the title.. :blush:Just had to post one screen shot - the changes from the piston Duke are subtle, but they make the cockpit look 100% more believable.Have a look at the reflections in the glass of the HSI and autopilot - really nice! February 28, 201115 yr Yes quite nice I have had it for a couple of hours now and great fun to fly. But there is one big gotcha - no 2d popups that can be undocked and moved to a second monitor a very unfortunate trend that is becoming more and more common in new releases. Can do without the full 2d cockpit but really need the 2d popups eg as with the F1 Mustang. Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." BrucebI also add my own 2D panels that I want for second monitor.. eg radios, GPS , Throtle etc..Real easy to do. Google is your friend. only the first one is a bt difficult, but once you grasp the way to edit and add panels, you do it very quick..I have standard set of panels that I always add and move pannels around so that they are always added in the same number.. therefore it is the same for each aeroplane. Make it much easier..Edit: that should say "RealAir Turbine" in the title.. :blush:Just had to post one screen shot - the changes from the piston Duke are subtle, but they make the cockpit look 100% more believable.Have a look at the reflections in the glass of the HSI and autopilot - really nice! time for a dust off..Just amazing cockpit..
February 28, 201115 yr Unfortunatly I am a 2D panel guy, so as beautifull as it is, I have to pass. Too bad, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Jay
February 28, 201115 yr Author Unfortunatly I am a 2D panel guy, so as beautifull as it is, I have to pass. Too bad, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. This might just be the plane that changes your mind... :( I was a "2d panel guy" too, for the longest time - but this cockpit is"better than 2d", at least for me. You can zoom in if you want detail.. Bert

February 28, 201115 yr Hi Bert,I agree. I just got the RA Turbine. It's the best GA twin produced bar none.!!The in addtion to the unbelievable cockpit quality the airfile and external are equally outstanding. This bird takes GA payware to a new level.Caranado aircraft are generally solid. However, this is the first GA twin that is of the quality of a PMDG product in my opinion.Cheers to RealAir,BillyBob BillyBob David M. February 28, 201115 yr .............This is one sweet aircraft with one big issue...how will I ever get into my "old" piston-driven Duke Again??:(I don't have it yet (at work currently), but I'm wondering how I will ever get into my C310 again! I have yet to get my multi license, but had thought of using the C310 to practice on in FSX, fat chance now! And seeing Bert's comments- if he says it's good then there's no doubt about it.........Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.

It will still be there and useable in FSX.Kind Regards,Rob - RealAir Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

March 1, 201115 yr What Bert is referring to is that RealAir has a wonderful system of right- and left-mouseclicks within the VC that bring sections of the cockpit up close and personal...becomes very intuitive and convenient while preserving the wonderful look and feel of a VC.This is one sweet aircraft with one big issue...how will I ever get into my "old" piston-driven Duke Again??:(The left and right mouse clicks don't work on my system eg a a left click on the left side of the main panel that is supposed to bring up the IFR view has me looking at the pedals. A left click on the centre of the main panel that is supposed to bring up the GPS/radios has me looking at the throttles and there are similiar issues with the other views. Now I assume this is because I also have EZCA installed however when I disable EZCA the problem persists. My difficulty with the zoomed in VC view as apposed to undockable 2d views is that your focus is taken away completely from what is happening oustide the cockpit and on other instruments. While not really an issue at altitude this very critical after takeoff and during approach. There is no shortage of accident reports where the primary cause has been due to the pilot not monitoring airspeed because he/she was distracted by something else that was going on.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." March 1, 201115 yr Is the VC that much better than the orignal? Looking at the screenshots it's hard to compare and see a difference. I just wish RealAir included a more worn VC, the orignal has an almost plastic look to it.
