Microsoft Flight - UK Release Nov 2011

Featured Replies

One example does not prove the case .. there are hundreds of releases that are on the expected release date.
And just as many that are WAY off.

Jim,thats just not factual .. there are not hundreds of releases that miss their release date.

Adult beverage bet? You can have all of 2011 and I'll take everything after that. What say you?!

only because some pretentious people think they know everything doesn't mean the november 2011 release could not be possible...

The "expected release date" does not exist at this point. That won't exist until Microsoft announces it. Game stores have a long history of guessing when a game might come out to try to capitalize on early sales, and that is all we are seeing here. I would love for Flight to come out in November, but don't pin your hopes on it because of this.

Well, I can't stand it, the waiting for Flight. I am chagrined and much lighter in the wallet from trying to make FSX "all that" and a bag of chips! It's inconceivable to me that MS is taking so long with something that already exists, unless they 'reconceptualized' the entire platform. I'm scared of the multi-player leaning at the expense of killing looks graphics. I think all of us have in our mind a visual image of the 'ideal' session in FSX or Flight or What Have You. The closer to reality the better, and let's be candid, the graphics are still quite edgy, unless one spends many quid in upgraded scenery and airports, then it's a bit better. Having just build an i7 2600k with SSD SOLELY for FSX, I for one am TIRED of waiting for FLIGHT. I need to find another hobby - something non-electronic. I already thrash about the golf links, but maybe something else will come to mind...

Bingo sounds about right for you!

I wouldn't believe the release dates that you see on gamestore websites. They generally pluck dates out of thin air, and then cross their fingers.
i agree, it also may just be a ploy to help start the preorder process for the stores

Did anyone notice the advert Microsoft put out for a position within the Flight team about 4/5 weeks ago to make ready for testing of product and organise release criteria etc... ???

And that means anything when Microsoft hasn't announced the release date yet?

Brandon Filer

why would they release it after Christmas though?

6 months ago, the Flight team said they were 'early' in the development cycle. Nothing's going to happen before mid 2012 at the earliest

Anyone else noticed that it now says "Jan 2012" as the release date?http://spong.com/gam...-Flight-PC&cc=t
they don't even have the latest screenshots...LOLmaybe they just want to sell their old FS98 and 2000 they stil have in stock and are advertisingLOL.gif
